I stayed with my husband, 7 yrs old son and mother and father in-law, in two adjacent apartments on the first floor overlooking the pool.

We have no problems with creepy crawlies and the apartments were roomy and clean. The cleaners came every two days and changed sheets and towels. There was air con in the bedroom and living room which was great, the air con stops when the balcony door is opened - to save energy.

The pool was lovely but no life guard. The pool side lunches were cheap and very tasty. There was entertainment every night starting with children's activities then acts for the family - groups, a parrot show which the little one loved, hypnotist, and fire eater.

The entertainment finished at midnight allowing others a peaceful night’s sleep. The barby on Friday is well worth the money (don’t eat much that day or you will struggle).

The resort was lovely with clean beaches, lots of shops and places to eat and not at all noisy - unlike the neighbouring Magaluf which caters more for groups of singles.

We did venture into Magaluf to see Pirates the dinner show, (5 euro by taxi) you need to book the show as soon as you arrive we got tickets on stand by and managed to get in but there was no guarantee.

The show although 40 something euro per adult was really amazing with a meal included its a nice treat. We purchased the tickets from reception (the agents on the front were more expensive)as well as tickets for golf (a 54 hole crazy golf course) which was again a great activity passed a good 3 hours without even noticing.

All in all a really good holiday - I will return and book via the hotel direct off peak for a cheap break.

We went in the beginning of may for a nice quiet holiday with our 6 month old son which we did get the location of the apt was brilliant the only thing was all the step’s especially with a baby and pram etc.

Found staff terrible especially one of the so called entertainment staff who we caught speaking to the first choice reps and the minute they left slagging them off to members of her family not very professional at all and in front of people that were staying there is made you feel like " what’s she saying behind our backs"!

The rooms were spotless and maids were fantastic very friendly and this is why I have given the rating of the apt 5 out of ten and that was for the cleanliness not for the staff as certain members of the staff should not even be in the job.

After reading reviews beforehand, didn't know what to expect. Was very pleasantly surprised.

Clean and well equipped apartment. Hmm.... What creepy crawlies? Stairs? Yes a few, but I suffer from asthma and was on the top floor, if I can do it, anyone can!

Pool area was lovely, but there were problems with towels being put on loungers, but you can just move them! Friendly staff, food was good and very inexpensive, as were the drinks.

On one night we heard a disturbance in the room next to us, we rang down to reception, security were there within 60 seconds, and all was quiet thereafter.

Beach is 2 mins away, as are bars and restaurants. Word of warning to all us gullible Brits "DO NOT" buy, or look at all interested in the people selling fruit or drinks on the beach; we paid 18 Euros for 2 slices of melon no thicker than your little finger. It was only 3 Euros for the whole melon at the local supermarket!

As a group of 20 ladies (in our 30's, 40's 50's) with quite high standards, we found the Aquasol a fantastic base, and have vowed to return next year. Absolutely loved every minute of our long weekend break.

Fantastic hotel! The beds weren’t all that but for the length of time we spent in them, they did!

The entertainment was fantastic for what we saw of it. The rooms were clean and fresh A/C was top dollar.

The staff friendly, whilst there we had to stay in the hospital for a night and the First Choice reps were fantastic at getting the treatment we needed fast.

The hotel was only a 2 min walk away from the breach and 2 mins in a taxi to Magaluf.

Over all a brilliant hotel would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic hotel overall - very clean, lovely pool area, brilliant entertainment on a night.

Would definitely not recommend to anyone who doesn't like stairs, as there are more than plenty.

I went as a party of 11 18 year olds and, while there were a lot of young people there, there were also a lot of families. The apartments are separated into blocks and our block was full of young people, whereas other blocks had families in so they wouldn't be disturbed.

Fantastic location, Palma Nova itself is clean and very picturesque. Only a ten minute walk to Magaluf and plenty to do in Palma Nova for everyone.

Reception staff were a little rude, as keeping your key card in your bag near your mobile phone demagnetises it, something which happened to us about six times and the reception staff were a little bit rude about it. However, the First Choice reps were fantastic.

Finally, if you're going anywhere in this vicinity I would totally recommend the Pirates Adventure show. For fifty Euros you get the whole show which lasts two or three hours, free meal and free flowing jugs of sangria and white wine all night. I'd have paid twice that for how fantastic it was.

I travelled in a party of 14 ladies sharing three separate rooms.

On arrival we were all very impressed with the look of the aparthotel. The reception staff came across as being a little rude, but this was probably due to the fact that there were a few drunken youths in the reception area that had obviously drank too much and were being rather loud.

Not the welcome party we had expected! We were wondering what we'd let ourselves in for.

My friend and I made our way to our room that was on the top floor. It was quite a trek with our luggage as there are no lifts but it was well worth it as the apt we were in was very clean and spacious.

We were well impressed that we had a full size oven with a gas hob but saying that we never did get to use the oven as when we did cook on the hob, we discovered an army of ants that found their way onto our plates so we ate out all week instead. Being in a hot climate we couldn't argue with Mother Nature.

We had trouble with the air conditioning but gave up after having the maintenance man out three times. We got our 50 Euros deposit back and suffered the heat instead.

We spent a couple of nights in the entertainment room and really enjoyed the acts that we saw, but the bar staff spoiled that by being miserable, rude, oh yeah and watch your change, we were short changed a few times. I refused to go in there again all week. I wasn't giving my hard earned money to those ignorant sods.

We did have one bad night when a girl was shouting from her balcony at 4am. Staff did come and have a quiet word and then thank god she shut the hell up.

Overall I did enjoy my holiday and I do consider the most important thing as being the cleanliness of my apt, which I was very happy with. The cleaning staff were very friendly, polite and they work very hard.

Although in saying this I am sorry but I will not be returning again in the future.

We had a super Holiday at the Aquasol; it was everything the brochure said and more.

The Accommodation was very clean, and the maid service was very regular and good. My only criticism would be that the accommodation was quite basic; it could have done with a microwave.

We went half-board and were delighted with the choice of menu, both suitable for adults and children.

Both the hotel entertainment and the kids club were first class. We found the entertainment so good that we didn’t need to go anywhere else in the evening.

The only down side (other than coming home) was the steps, we travelled with a baby and there were steps all over the hotel.

The location of the hotel was ideal; the beach was only a two min walk, and a ten min walk to Magaluf. We even walked to the Aqua Park 25 mins.

Reception Staff: very helpful.

Maids: always efficient and pleasant.

Bar Staff: bit on the miserable side.

Waiters: pleasant, and always took an interest in the children.

Entertainments Team: EXCELLENT

Kids Club Reps: OUTSTANDING

We have already booked again for next year.

Aquasol was a nice aparthotel. Nice pool, nice reception. When we first got there it was a great first opinion. It looked clean and tidy.

The rooms were nice but beds were not that comfortable. And one thing I can tell you if you don't like creepy crawlies, I wouldn't recommend it. There was loads of cockroaches and ants.

Overall nice place.

10 day half-board holiday with similar age female best mate. Good job we are still pretty fit in our middle age! Not much fun lugging cases up 50+ steps, thank goodness we were only on 1st floor!

Obviously not being a family we only used the apartment as a base, found everything working, clean, and spacious enough for two.

Didn't use the pool as wall to wall sunbeds and children.

Cleaning very basic, towels left on staircase for three days until we mentioned it. Had to take an under-cover thingy off my bed as it was like sleeping on an incontinence blanket, sheets not big enough to tuck in so the bed wasn't good at all. View disappointing, as was the noise from the road at the back.

Found the bar staff pretty unfriendly and the drinks expensive, so didn't use that much.

Breakfast we found very good, as was evening meal, always something to please most people, although our table was never set for some reason, I think the staff must have thought we weren't proper residents as we disappeared at every opportunity and didn't 'join in' with anything.

Reception staff competent although we ordered a taxi to airport which never came.

Night life good, plenty to watch, beach excellent, we like walking so found lots to see.

All in all, a good hol. Go back again? Not sure.

Just returned from a last minute holiday to the Aquasol - was very impressed and will definitely return there next year.

Asked for two apartments next to each other on first floor with pool view at time of booking and that's exactly what we got.

Apartment spotless, and maid service every other day, however I wouldn't have wanted to be in an apartment at the top of the complex - too many steps!

Aquasol ideally situated within easy walking distance of restaurants, play parks, and beach.

Entertainment fantastic and caters for all tastes and ages, well done to Andy and team and all First Choice reps who worked extremely hard to make sure everyone was happy.

Particularly liked the fact that younger children weren't expected to be packed off to bed at 10.30pm when the main entertainment started, a bonus when travelling with a teenager and younger children.

Would definitely recommend the Aquasol to single mums, as you don't have to venture too far to find everything you need to keep your children happy.

So you want to know about these apartments, obviously.

Well I myself have no complaints. This hotel is explained as a family hotel and it is, but it also caters for teens, groups of friends, elderly couples, young couples you name it Aquasol as got something for everyone.

I travelled with my boyfriend of 5 years and had the best holiday of my life. It was fantastic, I really enjoyed it so much so that 5 hours after returning home I booked again for the following year, although I cannot really fault it, nowhere is perfect so here are the pros and cons.

PRO'S: excellent location 5 minutes each way into Palma city or Magaluf 300meters from the beach which is a lovely walk.

Clean and spacious rooms and apts maid service good and efficient.

Entertainment quite enjoyable good for children I recommend the bbq. The grounds are immaculate.

CONS: stairs as there are no lifts if your room/apt is on a high level beware and I wouldn’t recommend people with walking difficulties staying here.

At the bar and the hotel shop the prices are through the roof if you’re on a tight budget like I was, shop around you will literally find drinks kid’s toys and other goods half the price.

FAMILIES: if your travelling with kiddies you might want to try 1 of the 3 Magaluf water parks that are absolutely brilliant, all prices for adults start from 20 Euros and most kids under 12 get in for 13 Euros so it’s very good value for money.

Also you have crazy golf and the infamous pirates adventure brilliant but pricey.

Other than that there is loads more to do for kids everything is on your doorstep and you can always go for a meal and watch the sunset, while the kids have fun in one of the many Palma nova playgrounds.

ELDERLY: Majorca hotspots Magaluf and Palma nova are hyped up as so lively that older people are put off but there is a quieter more relaxed side to the island, with many historic day trips, secluded clean beaches, and regular markets and beautiful restaurants to keep you occupied through your trip.

SINGLES/COUPLES: I have already mentioned some fun daytime activities and trips but the real draw to this island is the nightlife. As you probably know on a night disco karaoke bars clubs pubs and restaurants alike line the streets of Magaluf and Palma nova. Some offer more relaxed feel others like Benny hill and bcm nightclub are for you hardcore ravers, after all, we all need to let are hair down once in a while and this is the place to do it.

You will find something for every taste and age group.

Booked this holiday at the last minute so got excellent deal. The location couldn't have been better, about 10 minute walk from Magaluf and 2 minutes from Palma Nova beaches, which were lovely.

The resort itself is excellent for families as there are little playgrounds everywhere.

The apartments were small and very basic, but very clean with good maid service. One of the plugs in the kitchen area was balancing in between the gas ring cooker and a small table, so the overhanging wire from kettle or toaster was a hazard to kids, so used obvious common sense and kept them out the way when in use.

The mattresses on the beds must have been there from when the hotel was built as ours were terrible, so husband slept in living room. Our apartment was directly above the entertainment so didn't get to sleep till midnight as I’m a light sleeper, but kids slept through it.

Had I been on a girls holiday this wouldn't have bothered me as would still be out till early hours.

The hotel doesn't have any lifts so it really was a struggle with two young children in buggies. This wouldn't have bothered us had we been on our own. There are ramps for buggies at the front of the hotel but not inside so again a struggle with buggies and not suitable for the disabled.

The entertainment was ok, seemed to be a lot of bingo! The children’s disco could have been longer, but reps made it fun. There was a fantastic hypnotist night, which was good clean family fun, worth seeing.

Our first choice rep was very helpful friendly and approachable 10/10.

Was great for the money but had I paid top whack would have been disappointed. Over all good hol. Would recommend this hol to single friends.

We only booked the holiday in April 07 and got a good deal. On booking the holiday we stated that I would be 26 weeks pregnant on travelling so it was noted that we would need a bottom apartment.

When we arrived at the resort we were checked in quickly but when we found our apartment it was up 6 lots of steps so not helpful with being pregnant. My partner went back to reception and they were fantastic and moved us to a lower apartment the next day.

The beach is beautiful and only a short walk from the resort.

The evening entertainment was really good and was enjoyed by us all. The drinks and food at the resort are a bit pricey and the bar staff do try to short change you.

The apartments are basic but clean so overall it was a very good holiday and enjoyed by us and my 2 young children.

When we got there we realised that we had stayed here about 25 years ago, the first year it opened and the place didn’t look a day older.

Everything was spotless. We had a huge and very well equipped apartment with very good maid service.

The only downside was a poor view from a very small balcony. Some apartments are in blocks of 5 and some of these have quite a lot of steps, so that is a bit of a lottery.

The reception staff are really pleasant and helpful but the main bar staff could do with a few smiling lessons. The entertainers work very hard with a full day and evening programme.

These are a very good standard, well situated 3* apartments although we spoke to some people who had a problem with ants.

Quick check in. Stairs a bit tiring if you are a OAP.

Room good but not very well looked after by maid service.

Not a very large choice for evening meal, entertainment good.

With regards to bar service, beware of being short changed. I had knowledge of this happening 3 times in 3 days during the week we were there. I reported it to members of staff and the travel rep.
