Watch out for the lethal dry ski slope at the front !! Steps steps steps everywhere , dangerous when wet , staff miserable , bar total rip off .Mini market rip off also pop 3 mins up the road to Spa next to Kompass (Excellent for food & totally friendly Hello to Matty &n Sydney!!),room basic when we eventually got up to it , no tv, no microwave , safe key 18 euros deposit , aircon remote 50 euros deposit. Loads of ants everywhere ! could go on and on and on.............. would not recommend to anyone especially if you wre disabled or in a wheelchair! My rating 3/10. Palma Nova itself is beautiful.

Mmm... My family (3 girls, 11, 10 & 2, 1 boy, 17 and me & the wife, 35 & 36) have just had a week in this place and we were not impressed with it in quite a few ways. As you arrive at the place, there is a slope and steps, but after that your in trouble! EVERYWHERE is tiled, all the steps, the pathways, and the entertainment 'room' are covered in them, and they are ALL the very slippery when wet kind of tiles, i saw 6 people go flying, my wife saw another 3, and my 11 year old daughter scrazed her back badly walking down the steps from our apartment. Mmm, the apartment, we had a 3 roomed apartment, the bedrooms were all good sizes, and there was enough room and wardrobes for all our clothes etc, the beds tho, oh my god. EVERY morning i woke up with a bad neck or back because of the hardness of the matresses and pillows, the sofas in the main room were more comfortable to sleep on! The main room was tiny for 6 people, the kitchen was really small and the only plug socket in the kitchen was in between the gas cooker (split seal, had to ignite with a lighter) and the breakfast bar, which was really low, so my 2 year old could reach the kettle or toaster if they were put on it. Because of this reason we had to balance the kettle and toaster on the gas rings, and every apartment was the same. Had to use a bathroom towel to dry up as there was no tea towel supplied, and there was no washing up liquid or dishcloth either, so the cleaners were left with a huge pile of plates, cups etc when we left. Its not the sort of thing we would normally do, but the cleaners were so rude and so useless we were past caring. The apartment was cleaned once in the week we stayed, and that was on the day before we came home! The bathroom was a good size, the shower was spot on and the loo flushed brilliantly... Now the entertainment. This hotel DOES NOT cater for any children below the age of 5, the 'park' (a climbing frame with a small slide which got so hot in the day any child would burn themselves), was completely out of sight of the pool area behind a brick wall, it was just put on rubber tiles near the 'entertainment hut', while the cleaners left all their buckets etc. 20 yards away from it. Clever. The pool was really dirty for a couple of days because the filters were blocked, the lifeguard was always in the bar, the snack bar was nice, decent shade and good grub at reasonable prices, but the bar prices were a joke. I had a pint every day at 3ish, the price changed every day, one day being 3.5 euros, the next day 4 euros, and because it was daytime the pint came in a plastic cup. No problem with that, except the plastic pint beakers were not a pint size! The bar staff were miserable and rude as well... The internet was 1 euro for 10 mins, the pool tables were 2 euros a go and the cues had no tips on them, the games room had arcade machines where the cheapest game was 1 euro, and the dearest one, 3 euros. The on site shop was a massive rip off, be warned, this whole place is a rip off!!! The entertainment was all a bit odd, out of 6 shows that we saw, 3 were brilliant - the hypnotist (very very funny), the blues brothers style singer (quite a few not so well known songs were sung, but he was good), and the fire eating/glass standing/snake charming bloke was good. The others tho, you had a world dance troup (danced on stage to different music) were boring, the Elvis impersonater is self explanitary and the magician, oh god he was crap! The bar closed at midnight, and the lights went out at half 12, there is a VERY annoying hour of Bingo at 9pm EVERY night (take your own pen cos they charge a euro for a biro), and the kids mini disco at half 8 every night lasts 6 songs, with such 'classics' as The Birdie Song, Agadoo etc. This might all sound a bit petty, but after a week, well...
On the plus side of things tho, the reps were superb! (as always with First Choice) The area it is in is really nice, good beaches, lots of good restaurants, Magaluf is only a 10 minute walk away, and the local 'Spar' is only 3 minutes down the road. This is where i went to get my evenings drink, you buy 6 beers for 5 euros and then pop back to the apartment instead of the bar! (just dont be too blatent about it tho)
I wont be going back again, although for some strange reason there were a few people there that came back year after year. God knows why...

We had an amazing time in Majorca. However If your going to party don't stay in this hotel. We stayed there for a week and went to the nearby resort of Magaluf everyday. Even the beaces in Magaluf had more atmosphere. The hotel layout does not lead to much socialising and it is mainly aimed at families and young couples. The receptionists are rude and we had a camera go missing after a maid had cleaned our room. All in all the hotel facilities are basic and clean. TOwel changes take place every other day but if you need clean ones in between they do give them to you if you ring reception at least 6 times. DOn't try sneaking any one abck after a night on the strip else you will be screamed at by Pepe. We had an amazing holiday and would recommend Majorca for anyone looking for fun. BUt if your young and out to party DONT STAY HERE!!!

Upon arriving at the hotel I was impressed as I entered the lobby. After an extremely quick check-in we found our room easily and were very pleasantly surprised at the standard of the room. Although basic, the size and cleanliness of the room exceeded anything I haveeverexperienced on any spanish holiday and I have been on quite a few.
The pool and surrouding area was also excellent and really clean. Entertainment area was large and entertainment provided every night.
The only complaint I would have is that the hotel bar was expensive but I suppose this could be expected.
Overall excellent hotel and I would recommend without hesitation.

Had a brilliant time. Lovely pool, perfect location, friendly staff. Plenty for kids to do. Shop onsite was expensive, but if you walk 2 mins up the path in the park next to the hotel, there is a supermarket called Capriabo that all the locals use and is much cheaper than the hotel shop and the supermarkets on the main drag.
Definately going to book again for next year!

My Wife and I stayed at the aquasol for 1 week at the end of April 08.
The location of the complex is great only a 5 minute walk to the beach and the shops of Palmanova.
There are a lot of steps in this complex and they have no lifts so I would not say this is ideal for older people.
The rooms were clean but very basic.
The pool area was very clean and the staff were very helpful.
The only fault I could find was the maid service is only 3 times a week we had to request towel changes everyday as we like fresh towels, they did not quibble and changed our towels upon request.
There is a gem of a restaurant just over the road called Castaways where the food is well priced and the food is very tasty.

Spent two weeks at the Aquasol at the end of September with my wife and our two children age 6 &4.
This was the best holiday we have ever had and we go abroad 2 or 3 times a year.
BAD POINTS FIRST; a lot of steps and no lifts, bar prices a bit but not much over the top and the on site shop prices are sky high.
GOOD POINTS everything else really, the kids club will take the rug rats off your hands for a good few hours a day usually 10 till 12 and 4 till 6 the kids reps are great and there is no charge, my kids loved it and it meant we had a few hours to ourselves.
The entertainment was fine 8.30/9.30 is kids time and quiz followed by bingo (not my cup of tea) but they only play 3 games each one for about 80euros, then 10.30 main show the only downfall if you are there for 2 weeks you will see it all twice.
The rooms are fine the maids were in every other day, if you like football, all the games are shown in the bar (Sky Sports and Setanta only)
Did not try the food so cant say and you are only a stones throw from the beach and resort centre (2 mins at most)
All in all you cant go wrong.

Was very clean and the cleaner was so polite and lovely! The pool was very clean and the staff very helpful!
The entertainment was a bit boring but maybe would have suited an older crowd as we were average age 20...had a great stay and would deff come back again.
Was close to restaurants, the beach and the supermarket, and we each had to pay one euro to get a taxi to Magaluf, as it was 4 euro! Thanks.

Very friendly staff at front desk. Emailed them before we went for a pool view on ground.
When we got there we had a choice of pool view on top floor or ground room around the back so we chose pool view (which we were pleased with), except all the steps, 50plus which is a lot when you have had a few.
Rooms were basis but clean and well equipped. The hotel bar was quiet expensive and food around the pool was ok. The swimming pool was lovely. What made our holiday was the entertainer Andy. He is a right laugh. Will do anything to help you. His assistant Natalie was lovely as well.
They organised killer pool and water polo every day for kids and adults, which was a laugh. (Talk about cheating)! There was children’s entertainment on each night at 8, which was ok. Cash bingo at 9 which we and kids enjoyed and different entertainment on at ten.
The hypnotist is fantastic, and the fire eater. Andy makes your holiday there. The hotel is near the beach (Next Street) which is beautiful. Loads of restaurants and shops.
Magaluf only ten minutes walk away, which has a load of clubs, not our scene but good for young ones.
Would recommend this hotel but would book through Aquasol themselves or alpharooms and get separate flights. Hope to be going back next August.

Hotel staff where very friendly & helpful meals were nice and simple nothing fancy but nice.
I went with my wife & 7 year old he enjoyed the pool area which was excellent and kids were allowed to have fun. The entertainment was also good although we did vary our choice and went into the resort some nights, so can't comment on the repetitiveness as someone has previously mentioned.
We also had the memory wiped from our room key (don’t keep it next to your mobile phone) but found the staff friendly and very helpful even though it was midnight.
The accommodation was ideally situated with just a 2 minute walk to the beach and shops, bit too close to the bungee trampolines as this was the first port of call at night, and the ques were always long.
Over all we had a fantastic time at the aqua sol and will definitely return but next time for two weeks not one.
Pirates is a must while in Majorca it is an amazing show not to be missed, but try to book your tickets direct before you go (we did) as the evening shows were a sell out. Quite expensive but well worth it.

Well what can I say, First Choice have got it right. The apartments are very clean also plenty of room.
The staff are very friendly apart from one person who stops you from getting sun beds before 7.30am. He is very rude and shouts a lot. But we took no notice as if you leave it till 7.30 am no sun beds are left.
The air conditioning units are wonderful. The resort of Palma Nova is also wonderful. Try going to El Mecca they are so friendly and the food is great. The prices are reasonable too. we went there every evening for our meals also for breakfast.
My 5 year old twin girls were spoilt rotten, allowed free ice cream and encouraged to eat their meals.
Also if you want a wonderful British breakfast try Katie’s Bar on the sea front on the Matias beach. the quality is wonderful and staff are great.
Enjoy Palma Nova, we do every year.

Our party consisted of 3 Adults & 3 Children (15,8 & 4)
Very disappointed on arrival that we were unable to obtain a meal or subsidised for the fact we were late arriving due to plane delays. The fact that we had paid for, not only 14 nights accommodation, but evening meal & breakfast as well seemed nothing to the staff at aquasol or our tour operator!!!
Anyway, we found the resort very clean (although rooms are cleaned every other day, be sure to check if your sheets are changed throughout your stay, as we had our doubts!!)
The Breakfasts are a buffet as much as you can eat job, which to a hearty fellow like myself was great. Not allot of option for the more healthier person though and no continental breakfast which we found bemusing as it wasn't just Brits who were staying at the aquasol. Evening meals were a little disappointing and no variety for kids who seemed to be eating pretty much the same very night!
Nightime entertainment was good, but if your staying for 2 weeks I'm afraid be prepared for repeat performances and repeat gags plus there is Bingo every night which didn't really appeal to us, but I must say Andy the Ents Manager was very helpful and a decent chap. The bar staff were hit and miss, some days very helpful, others miserable and at times very rude - which seems to be the case in some of the local supermarkets and shops, in Palma Nova.
The lack of interest in Bingo did however give us the opportunity to go and enjoy the beautiful warm evenings and the delights and sights of Palma Nova & Magaluf.
Mallorca is an interesting island with much to do for the outgoing kind, quiet kind and those that just like to let there hair down and enjoy it. We would recommend the Pirates show...absolutely superb!
The Kids club at aquasol did however leave us a little disappointed, not only were the times of the club random and not consistent on a day to day basis but some of the games the kids were being taught to play were not ideal, especially for a 4 yr old! The reps I suppose were only doing their jobs the best they could, and it was a blessing having the club at times!
I'm sure allot more thought could however be put into the food and more variety added for children, as well as more thought being put into the kids club as those were the two things we felt disappointed with, apart from that the Aquasol is a nice family complex and would be sure to recommend it to others.

I, my husband, and my 13 year old daughter had a lovely week here. The hotel was clean with a nice pool area and lots of families!
The pool bar was a bit expensive so we took our own drinks with us. The little hotel shop doesn't stock that much but you're not far from the supermarket just up the hill, or the Spar in the other direction, which is smaller but reasonably well stocked.
We found the reception staff to be ok, especially the young Spanish lady who is very pleasant and always tried to be helpful. There was a lot of entertainment if you didn't want to venture out too far at night, all suitable for families.
The hotel is a very short stroll to the lovely beaches that are clean and very pleasant whether you want a nice stroll along the prom' or to sunbathe for hours. Also, only a short walk to the much livelier resort of Magaluf which isn't really suitable for kids at night as it's far too rowdy!
Palma Nova is very pleasant though, it has the usual English pubs, bars, etc, but there are lots also kid’s playgrounds and its more family orientated. We had no problem with noise in the hotel, as they seem to keep the singles separate from the families.
We had air conditioning which was a relief as it was very hot, but it won't work with the patio door open. No probs with insects, a few ants but we made friends with them!
There are no lifts here so if you can't manage the stairs you may have a problem. (At least you'll be fit at the end though!) We thought the Aquasol was a really nice place to stay and would definitely go back.
