Menekse Hotel

we found it great loved the hotel brilliant view from our room staff were so friendly the food was brilliant and at great value u have a pool table and internet. can't wait to go back again.
such a short walk to all the bars and beach not that ur ever want to leave the hotel :)

stayed at the mekense in september when we arrived it was early hpurs in the morn and to b honest the place looked dingy we thoght what a dump but we were tired so went to sleep when got up that morn had a look around staff seemed friendly and to b honest it was dingy and showeer didnt work to well but it was clean so we settled in we had breakfast included so ate there turkish breakfast very nice but didnt eat there any other time as there wasnt any entertainment not much going of so eat in marmiris town 10 mins walk were there is plenty of good food places the friendly staff at the hotel kept asking us if we were eating there each night but we said no they seemed a bit anoyed with us so the once friendly staff turned ignorant there only happy if your spending your cash with them so they showed there real colour if the put entertainment on or there were more than one other couple in the bar then may be apart from that we had a great holiday will definetly go marmiris but not to the menekse hotel

really enjoye dmy stay at the hotel, very basic rooms but thats all you need as you dont stay in the room allday, small pool but my daught was able to swim around and enoyed the area. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, they made a fuss over my mum who is elderly and made sure she was always alright. The hotel is quiet taxi rank is acroos from hotel which means its easy to get around as well as the buses stooping across from the hotel. Food in restraunt was good but you have to explore other places and we got no hassle from hotel for going out and about.

this was mine and my mates second holiday booking (due to previous company going into liquidation)so we booked without our usual delving into everything we just had a quick look on the internet, and thought it sounded ok. We really did not know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised,although the rooms were basic, they were clean. We ate there most days as the food was really good,and fairly cheap,all the staff were fantastic, and could not be more helpfull, especially as I drink cider, and when they ran out, they went to the shops to make sure I had something to drink.The pool area although fairly small was very friendly. We would like to thank Ramy,Tony and the other bar staff for putting up with our late night drinking sessions.We would definately go back again.

There was 4 of us girls and we stayed from the 4th July untill the 18th. At first was a little overwhelmed by the friendliness of staff but soon got used to it and they all turned out to be lovely. Rummy, Tony, Jimmy and OUR MARTINNNN!!!!!!!! were all great at making us feel welcome and giving fantastic service with the resturant. Even though we only ate their for breakfast, they were more than happy to sit up and have afew drinks with us on a night after their shift.
Alex who had a habbit of wiping ice cubes on us and throwing us in the pool was a right laugh. The pool was very clean and hygenic. There is a bar next to the pool which is very handy for refreshments with the wonderful service from Alex.
Rooms were fairly small but what we paid for. Our balconys on the first floor overlooked the resturant so we could give OUR MARTIN a cheeky wave in the mornings. Only fault with rooms was having to perchase own toilet roll which we didnt realise untill wed run out.
Menekse Hotel was close to plenty of other resturants and bars and was only a 10 minute walk away from the beach front.
Only fault would be the cleaner as she didnt empty bins in our bathrooms or replace mucky towels.
Would defo go back agen!...Spesh t c OUR MARTIN!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Hotel:
I travelled to the menekse for 2 weeks from the 29th June - 13th July 2009 with just me and my teenage daughter. When we got to the hotel we had to walk through a restaurant and down around 20 steps to even get to the reception, the staff werent friendly to us from the beginning because we had read some bad reviews about the hotel the week before we travelled so we requested that we seen the room before we handed in our passports. When we got shown the first room we were quickly changed to another on the first floor which when you went out onto the balcony you were directly looking into the restaurant so we asked to get changed to another room.
Then we got moved to a third floor room "302" we've stayed in basic but this was definitely alot worse than basic. There was a small bedside cabinet and a small vanity unit and built in wardrobe. A small balcony that had two chairs and no table and our view was onto another set of apartments. There was no patio door, just an old door that we had problems locking. There was one plug socket in the room. In the bathroom there was only one small bin and no other bin in the room. There is no television or telephone in the room.
The toilet started leaking into the shower so we told the rep and she told the man at reception but it took two days for them to finally fix it. On the stairs outside the room there was a huge cockroach.
Staff:
We never ate or drank in the hotel atall for the whole 2 weeks because when we went downstairs to the reception to wait on the hotel rep we seen the man who was cooking the food on three separate occasions smoking in the kitchen beside reception. We reported all the faults to the rep and tried to change hotel but she said there was no more room in any other hotels that their tour company do so we were thinking of moving to antique palace where we stayed last year but they were fully booked so we had to stay in this dump for the whole two weeks.The only member of staff that was excellent and very pleasant was the cleaner who came in everyday and changed the towels, bedsheets and emptied the bin.
All the staff were very unpleasant especially the manager as when we were leaving he started arguing with the hotel rep because he never brought our cases down and the bus had to wait until he got them down.
we would never book with goldtrail ever again and never stay in the menekse!!!

stayed last year room was basic but got what we paid for.staff very good and helpful,only fault we could find was the size of the pool,everything else was great.

They was four off us girls and we went for one week in june and it was fantastic. I would recomed it to anyone the staff are so nice thomas, alex and all the other staff are brilliant they made it so much more enjoyable. From water fights around the pool to the odd free garlic bread as a thank you. they is a shop next dorr and the staff are lovely as well and the prices arent bad either !!!, the food was lovely never had a bad meal at all brillaint. We will all be going back next year as it was bar far the best holiday we all had ever had. They look after children as well as when we were there they was loads of kids and they keep them entertained. The place is only small but thats what we liked about it as everyone new everyone it was overall just a lovely place to be. If thats what you want family or friends its great the rooms are basic but thats what we expected to be honest. We all stay in touch with the staff as they are all very nice friendy people. What ever you need they will help you. From taking your cases up to serving you what ever you want. 10 out of 10 FAB !!!!! go on get your self there !!!!

we arrived after delay at airport so were very tired. but staff helped us with cases to room. yes the accomodation was basic but we soon settled in and loved it. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. it is an ideal location as there is not all the hustle and noise of the town but it is not far to walk if you want the bars and nightlife Faulty towers and summer rain great places to eat. we had great time and will be back there in june. cant wait!!!!!

i went with my gran & brother. it was the best. the holiday was great. the people in it we're dead friendly & couldnt be eney nicer. the rooms were clean & basic. i loved it. i met new friends there. the people who worked in there are my friends now. i have managed to keep intouch with them.
