" I have to say that the Eva Hotel in... "

I have to say that the Eva Hotel in Ornos, Mykonos is one of the nicer places I’ve stayed.
It’s in a lovely location, above Ornos Bay, with a great 'infinity' pool, lots of loungers, a pool bar and snack bar. The menu is a bit limited, Greek salad or omelettes but nicely prepared and pleasantly served.
It has a nice bar adjacent to reception and the rooms are exceptionally well appointed; fridge, aircon., TV, great large balcony. In the bathroom they’ve even thought to provide a non-slip rubber bath mat.
The only problem and the reason we had to move is that it’s at the top of a VERY large 1 in 4 hill!!! The brochure says it’s only 230 metres. from the beach and it is: STRAIGHT DOWN!!
Now that’s all OK if you hire a car/bike or you’re very fit BUT if you don’t fancy a hill climb 4 to 6 times a day, you’d be well advised to stay say at the Glaros [sic], down in the village of Ornos, to which we moved on the 3rd day.
That said, I have nothing but praise for the Eva, it’s owners and staff and the village of Ornos.

Hotel was up a hill but don't let this put you off - was quite steep in a couple of places but is only a couple of minutes walk down. Being up high you get nice views over the bay which is a plus.
Ornos is a good base with some nice restaurants and a couple of bars. You can catch the boat from here to the various beaches. Ornos beach itself is nice but do venture to the others - Agio Yiannis and Paradise/Super Paradise. All well worth a visit.
