Just completed a 14 night stay at the hotel. Booked through internet, flight through Ryanair. Had my wife's parents with us, so wanted somewhere that would suit them too. We've had a few dodgy hotel deals in recent years and have suffered bad locations too, but this hotel... more

We had an fine holiday at the noelia sur hotel. Rooms were clean. Maybe it s better to ask a room with poolview. We hadnt, so view at a tree. Little remark, for every extra service you have to pay (this is a 4star hotel, so at least some extras would be nice). Poolview,... more

Terrible food, poor service - 2* hotel, not 4*
I went on holiday with my family for Christmasto this hotel in Dec 2004 . Overall very dissapointed. The good points are the hotel is clean, nice looking pool, rooms were big, lots of choice for breakfast such as fresh pancakes, eggs, omlettes, The poor points - Pool unheated so very cold during the winter months as the sun does not really warm it up. Very deep and poor warning signs. Not very good for families with children between 5-14 (for under 5 there is a small paddling pool). - Resturant is a like a canteen - Evening Meal - 2 sittings and you have to be in and out in 1 hour otherwise you get pushed out (yes they ask you to leave so no sitting around). There is a poor choice and the food is stone cold food. There were no signs of checking temp of food or rotating it! Get ready to push and shove to get to the fresh cooked meat. There is little grasp of vegetarian food (half a cabbage was served on three nights)! Used plates not cleared from the table and the staff were more interested in setting out breakfast tables than clearing plates from your table. - Rooms - were generally clean but thick dust on top of wardrobes so don't put cases on them. Air con is very loud but as rooms have very thin walls (you can hear the neighbours, snore, talking and other noises you don't want to hear on Christmas day)! - Staff - cleaners - lovely, most others unhelpful except managers who are trying to please. Overall I would not stay here again, if pressed I would go B&B as there are loads of resturants outside. Make sure you have a pool view room as street is noisey + side views go straight into another apartment block...not nice. This is not the 4* which they promote!
Perfect for a relaxing stay
Wonderful hotel, we had a suite (w/ jacuzi) which was really spacious, large balcony etc. Breakfast and diner buffet included, pretty good food for a hotel (I've had much worse at hotel restaurants). Nice and clean shipping pool and sunbathing area, friendly staff. No complaints. Stayed there for 7 nights and definately want to go back.
loved the hotel
myself my husband and our grandaughter stayed here august 2004 excellent food and plenty variety, the pool was fantastic couldnt get our grandaughter out of it. all in all great holiday staff really friendly and helpful, rooms very clean. going back to tenneriffe this year but trying self catering
stunning!
Please igonre the others because this hotel is out of this world!! Some people just have a chip on there shoulders & are never happy. Having been holiday rep for a well known company for 2 years. I was really happy when my boss said I'd be working in this hotel again!!! Why? Because it has the least problems & complaints. Everyone who stays at this hotel has always been more than pleased with it & i have never had a problem with it. Staff are fantasic, rooms are good size & can cater for disabled. Food is lovely! The hotel is very clean & is spot on when it comes to health & safety checks every month (passes everytime, unlike some other 4* in this area). In a good loctaion, easy access to Las Americas & Los Cris. Local bus servcie & taxis arent too far away either. Stay here!! This is by far a gooden.
NO FRIENDLY STAFF WHEN I WENT
I can't believe the positive reveiws of this place. Ok, it is convenient and the rooms by Spanish standards are good but that is still 3 star in most of europe and no way does this deserve 4 *. the staff at the check in were genrally pleasant except for one who was an officious and stuck up little madam. She would say black if i said white....nothing could change her mind about an opinion I voiced on their servce. I will think twice about staying here again and would chose the Vulcano over this hotel . The breakfast was so busy , people were piling plates etc up on adjacent tables, the smell was terrible , stale food. The quality of the food at breakfast was mediocre. On a positive note , the rooms are good and the grounds are clean. The sun loungers can not be reserved which is great , ie no bum on it , take it. None of this towel on beds at 3am stuff. If they could only sort out their front desk staff.....
Excellent Hotel
10 Day break (Aug31st - September 9th 2004) Hola, This was our second visit to the Noelia Sur and we were as impressed on this occasion as the first. The staff are friendly and courteous and very pleasant to deal with. The rooms are spotless and cleaned every day, fresh towels provided on a daily basis and bed linen is changed every 3rd day. In addition, bathrobes are also provided. The evening meals are served over two sittings and I would recommend you choose the later sitting (9pm) as the earlier one is fairly busy, however as you are allocated a specific table there is no problem in seating (unless you end up next to perpetual complainers!!!) still we laughed that off and put it down to lifes rich tapestry. Food and choice were excellent and the desserts are out of this world, at one stage we thought we may have to buy larger clothes!! The bar prices are on a par with the local bars and the entertainment is varied and what you would expect with regard to catering for a cosmpolitan audience. The pool area is 100% spotless clean with plenty of cushioned sunbeds and parasols and as no beds can be reserved prior to 9am this stops YOU KNOW WHO claiming all the best located beds. Pay a little extra and have a pool view room AND hire a fridge @ 2 Euros per day as the Netto supermarket across the road will ensure you have cold beer and ice for your evening Gin and Tonic on your balcony watching the sun go down. Enjoy yourself..you will NOT be disappointed Harry and Maggie
2 star food
Just returned from the Noelia Sur and was dissapointed to say the least! We had read the reviews on here and thought that the hotel would be perfect ,how wrong we were! The food was very poor quality, we have eaten better at 3 star hotels,it was bland and tasteless unless you eat salads and cream cakes! We ate out for the last 8 days.Another problem was the aircon which was poor throughout the hotel but was nearly non existant in our room,I reported this to reception but to no avail. On the plus sides though, the staff are plentifull and helpfull (except in the resturant)and the pool area is superb, Im afraid its the Las Palmeras for us next year!
no complaints
I went there in October 2003 and going again next week. What a brilliant hotel staff were supurb and the evening meal was great. Only had the breakfast a few times but the hang over did not help as the entertainment at the hotel night club seemed to keep me happy! No complaints staff brilliant and the rooms were just the right size. If anyone can knock this hotel they must be mad. Worth every penny!
noelia sur hotel tenerife
Just got back from Noelia Sur, had a great hol but bit disappointed with few aspects of Noelia Sur. Staff are EXCELLENT and hotel is clean and modern.Food is poor a very limited choice (having a 3 yr old didnt help) so ate out quite a bit. We were put on a late sitting 9pm the first week and half 8 after that. Too late for a child to be eating. Were told this couldnt be changed. Entertainment is poor, doesnt change at all (down to same CD for aerobics every day). Over all tyhe hotel was not as good as we expected for the amount paid but we had a great time anyway! Def recommend Bar La GRADA couple of doors down from hotel, a really warm welcome for everyone and the breakfasts were tops.
Fantastic
It seemed to us that nothing was too much trouble to the staff at the Noelia, all we had to do was ask and our wish was their command. The range of food in the restaurant was superb for both the breakfast and the evening meals. Our room was thouroughly serviced every day and checked to make sure standards were kept. This was our 1st visit and we took a gamble on this hotel, our gamble paid off and we will definately be back.
