Hi Just to say what a brillant time my partner and i had at Hanay. Everyone was friendly and the service was amazing. Thanks very much to the bar staff and thanks to the maids for laying our beds out with such amazing swans and harts out of the lining. We arived 7am and were taken to our rooms with our luggage taken for us shown how to use the aircon which was free (unlike many places in turkey) and left to get some rest. All i can say is go stay there Food is great too... Thanks all at Hanay will be going back. Si & Tina

Spent two weeks at the Hanay and had the best time. Staff friendly and helpful. Escorted to the room on arrival and even though they were basic they served their purpose well. The pool was well maintained and clean. Only disappointment with regards to this was that there was limited space around the childs pool so there was always a rush for these sunbeds in the morning. Had a great spa on site and although a little expensive compared to other local spas the service was great. The restaurant and bar was clean and the bar staff were always attentive and polite. The food was good and had plenty of variety (although no-one was tempted to try the banana and curry pizza!!!!) The BBQ special was great and very reasonably priced. All food and drinks went on a tab that could be paid at the end of the holiday but we found it easier to keep an eye on the budget by paying daily. The maid service was daily and although they kept the rooms reasonably clean the floors always seemed a little dusty (this was our only complaint of the 2 weeks) Overall a great holiday and looking forward to seeing you all again later in the Summer. Special praise for Yusuf and the other bar staff...you were great.

stayed at hanay with with partner and dauhter (14), arrived 7am checked in, luggage carried for us and escorted to, our room in 5 minutes.the rooms were small but very clean,the shower in bathroom was excellent (some hotel plumbing not very good)the hotel grounds and gardens were very nice,the pool was a fair size ,and warm .all the staff were very friendly,the bar staff were fantastic (yosuof,kivanc)especially.did not like bar bills,would rather pay as you go.the hotel was not too far from shops,beach side town all walking distance.beaches not the best for turkey,side especially the old town and harbour ,we found was espensive.we have been to turkey 3 times,side was the most espensive so far.we like turkey very much but would not come back to side.saying that overall we had a fantastic 2 weeks.the weather in side,and water temp was the best so far.things to do while staying in side,white water rafting is a must,absolutely fantastic the water is freezing.boat trips were great,aqua park was disapointing we could not wait to get from there,not good value for what we payed.go out and book your own trips,its a lot cheaper we saved £60 alone on rafting trip.one restaurant you must try is the chinese restaurant 200 yards from hotel more or less opposite beckhams.one last thing we like to thank all the staff,especially the 2 bar staff we allready mentioned.(jasmin says hi.)

Arrived very early in the morning but very quick to get checked in. Air con free!! and much needed as temperature was approx 100 degrees. Very clean and safe for children and bar prices very cheap. Lots of sun loungers around the pool and free inflatables. Staff acted on any requests very promptly at myself and my 2 daughters had an excellent Turkish Bath at the hotel. Location was nice and quiet with 2 excellent restaurants right next door and a wonderful small english restaurant not too far away. The town of Side is lovely with lots of old ruins and steeped in history and not to much hassle whilst visiting the shops. Only real downside was not really any evening entertainment throughout the whole of the resort which my 2 daughters missed. Probably a better place to go with smaller children. Beach is nice although initially you have to work your way past all the cigarette dimps left by locals and tourist alike, but as you walk along the beach into Side town (a must at night) it is lovely with mostly free sunbeds. Did not hear one story of any type of crime either inside or outside the hotel. Overall everybody was extremely friendly. Locals genuinely want to talk to you and practice their english. Pleasant stay but probably would not return to Side again as overall too quiet a resort. Enjoy, Cath & family

This was our first time in Turkey with my husband and two daughters. On arrival at the hotel we were very impressed with the service we received, having our baggage carried up and shown how to use the air com. The whole complex was very clean and safe for my children. I felt very relaxed that my youngest daughter could play with all her new friends safely while I enjoyed myself at the bar! The staff at the hotel were friendly, but there were three inparticular who were absolutely lovely and who we will never forget. They made our holiday wonderful. (you know who you are) The food at the hotel was lovely and the food on Turkish night was out of this world. Compliments to the chef who was also amazing. I strongly recommend that you go and stay here as it is a relaxing and friendly environment. The turkish people are very weloming and we certainly will be going back. WELL DONE HANNAY! From Laura

This was our first visit to Turkey, for my dad his first visit abroad and I'm pleased we went to Hanay. We arrived at 3am and were welcomed warmly, we were escorted to our room. We even had our bags carried upstairs for us. The apartment was small, but functional. All you really need is a sink, bed, shower and air con -and we got all that!!! The grounds, reception, pool and apartment were spotless. The maids regularly dressed our bed for us - even laying my nightdress out. Towels and bedding were changed regularly. Speaking as a parent, I found the whole complex very safe. There is no way my daughter could have got out of the complex without going through reception. The pool was clean and very inviting. We went on a couple of tours but we didn't book them with our rep - we did it on our own. 'Info Tour' (by the traffic lights on the way to the beach) is where we booked and the service was second to none. Our guide (Retzie I think I've spelt it right) was fantastic. Turkish night is a must, but we didn't do it at the apartment we did it at a local bar called beckhams - absoultely brilliant! All in all we had a great time in Side, although the only thing that spoiled it sightly was the attitude of the staff at the bar. Sometimes they were great, other times they were wandering around like bears with sore heads! Maybe we caught them on a off week! We found it was as cheap to eat out as it was to eat in. Go and enjoy, you won't be disapppointed!

me and my boyfriend have just returned from the hanay suit hotel in side and really enjoyed it. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. we found this was the best place we went for food as it was cheaper than some of the restaurants in the harbour and the food was nice and hot which is more than can be said for some places (e.g a place called the sunlight-avoid) if you need a safety deposit box you have to pay, but we did not have to pay for air conditioning. one thing that people should be warned about however is the fact that everything you buy is put on a tab, you should pay your bill at the end of every night as a couple of drinks were added to our bill that we did not have, so keep an eye on this however i would definately recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I just wanted a holiday where we could relax, go for nice meals and do nothing - unless we wanted to! We got exactly that. The staff at the Hanay are just brilliant. The apartments are clean and just what you need. You get a list of items in your room so if something isn't there you can say straight away. The maids did a brilliant job - they even washed up for us everyday - we only left cups and a bowl or two! They decorated our bed with swans and heart shaped towels which was lovely. The pool area is kept clean and the water was lovely - especially as it hit 44oC when we was there. The bar staff are just brilliant. You don't have to take any money down to the pool area as you quote your room number and they give you a bill which you sign for when you leave the area each day. The food there was really nice - definately go to the Turkish Night on the Wednesday. It costs 25 lira each which is about £10 and you get a buffet and entertainment which was brilliant to watch. There is air con in your room which you pay a deposit for and you get it back. We would definately go back in a few years time.

this was our first trip to Side in Turkey and our first trip to turkey in general. We went to this hotel not expecting what to find, but what we got was un real. We got a warm welcome even at 3am in the morning and we got escorted to our room. The staff during the day and night shift were happy, friendly and always had a smile. The bar staff were amazing and made you feel like a friend rather than a guest. Each day we had shapes made from towles on the bed in either swans or hearts. If you are thinking about going to Turkey then i would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Hanay Suit in June and really liked the place. It was spotlessly clean, the maids were wonderful, they did far more than the usual, considering our 2 children often presented them with a challenge!! All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially the bar/restaurant staff. We ate at the restaurant quite a few times and enjoyed every meal. The kitchen facilities were basic but what you'd expect really and considering that eating out was so cheap, we didn't really make use of our kitchen. The pool was a very good size and always clean and there were always plenty of sunbeds (although what it would be like come July/August I don't know). The only down side, we thought, was the distance that the apartments are from the town centre, although taxis can be picked up easily and it was only 10 lire to town. There is a busy beach about a 15 minute walk but it is down quite a steep hill so much longer walk back! We preferred to take the free minibus from the Hanay Suit to Apollo Beach, not walking distance but lovely big beach with everything you need and they drop you back at the apartments again later. The ruins in Side are not to be missed but try early evening when it's a bit cooler. I would definitely recommend these apartments!
