Having returned recently from this "hotel" we note the good comments but care needs to be taken if you book this location. The picture in the brochure is the hotel but you might be unlucky as we were to be "placed" in the annex some 300 metres away with no pool or other... more

We have just returned from our 5th time to these apartments. . We absolutely love them.. Panos, Tanya, Dimitri and Vanessa make you feel so very welcome... The cleaning girls Anna and Valentina are brill. Keep everything spotless.. Keep up the good work gang. Hope to see you all again next year..

What a fantastic holiday!
Dionysos Apartments is the ideal place for a memorably and truly Greek holiday.
Perfect place for families, a lovely swimming pool, and a bar and restaurant that caters to all needs.
I loved the view of the Cretan mountains from my balcony!

All though the people were really lovely, its not very child friendly. And after all the money people spent in the complex while on holiday not refreshments were offered when we were waiting to be picked up for the return flight home and were out of our rooms from 12 untin 2am the following morning. Sadly I would not atay there again

Lovely apartments, staff were very friendly. Pool area clean. On a main road but you can't hear the traffic. You never even notice it's there. One bad point. Towels and sheets were not changed once during our one week stay. Our sheets and towels were obviously dirty... more

Me and my family stayed at the apartments last year in august. From we flew home, until this very day we still talk about our amazing experience we had there. The apartments are cleaned every morning, including doing the dishes sometimes. They are left spotless and clean, and you don't need to worry about things going missing because the maids are very very trustworthy. Yanis and Panos are the two bar men at the apartments, they were warm welcoming lads and made sure everytime you went to the bar, you left with a smile =D. Dimitrius and his... more

we have been going to these apartments for 4 years and we will be back again as we find it spotlessly clean, food from their restaurant is excellent as their kitchen is spotless, the pool is brilliant (it is cleaned every night) thanks to panos, eddie the barman was very funny, helpful and mannerly. The flight was what you would expect from an economy class bulk carrier and heraklion airport is very basic! But this was expected and it was worth the usual travelling discomfort when We arrived at the dionysos appts on the 26th august 2008 we had a fanastic welcome from panos, who sorted out all of the check in details and sorted out the air con for us(which is a godsend!) and ed the barman, what can you say about him! we have just got back,having been advised this was a family hotel suitable for families in brochure and on the thomas cook website i have to say we were a little shocked upon arriving and finding so many young teenage groups there, the flight was a nightmare (thomas cook airlines) people smoking in the toilets and playing music the cabin crew looked like they dare not tell people to be quiet for fear of even more trouble, our 3 year old picked up some interesting vile words from that flight. the transfer bus was also awful our... more

The Dionysos is a very nice clean hotel situated at the nicer end of Stallis, as far from Malia as poss. The Dionysos 2 apts are across a busy dual carriage way, aint as bad as it sounds, there is a small tunnel linking the two. When we first arrived, my girlfriend and i were a little apprehensive, but were delighted on entering the average size, spotless room with an extremly nice view of the beach at stallis. There isn't a pool at the dionysos 2 apts or anything else for that matter, but you are more than welcome to use the very nice... more
Good quality accommodation! from underpaid
My daughter had already booked to go to Stalis and I decided to tag along. As I booked late and couldn't get into the same property, I tried to find something as close to her as possible. The Dionysos, as are many properties in Stalis, is family run. The apartments are modern, very clean and comfortable. There is a nice pool and they have a reasonably priced cafe type restaurant on site. The bar is a good place to meet other guests and make friends. Oh my god! what a place! My bofriend and i went for two weeks late summer last year on the off chance and what a brilliant off chance we made. Dionysos is an amzing place to stay, so good in fact that i am currently on the phone to thomas cook and i am booking up for Aug 08. The rooms were fab they were cleaned everyday and bedding and towels changed every two-three days. Only word of advice i have is to take an extra towel but i am a bit of a clean freak! Amazing appartment closed to beach, shops and nightlife (but ar away to be quiet too) The staff there were amazing from the owner (a General in the war) who will look after you and make sure you get the best deals on rentals, food etc to his nephew, Yanis, who is a great guy and runs the bar they have all day. I would reommend this place without any hesitation as would all the guests who stayed there when we did and I'm sure all future and past guests too.
