Horrible hotel
1 / 10
Aug 2011, Stephenie

stayed at the butik hotel 31st july 2011, what a horrible hotel,we took a baby with us and they didn't have a proper cot for the baby to sleep in so she had to sleep in with me and my partner for 2 weeks..the manger wore the same clothes for a week, we had to ask for toilet paper, fresh bedding and towels.the only thing nice there was the bar man Fez hes is a lovely guy. but they make him do everything. owners are so lazy. owner/manger charged 70lira for air condition then the following week tried to charge 80. Ants nest in the rooms, aircondition leaked water all over our beds. would not recommend this hotel especially if you have children as we had to carry a pram up and down everytime we went out. Also doors wouldnt lock.

Faulty Towers

Jul 2010, net net

This has to be the worse hotel i've ever stayed in. We arrived at 5.30am for me to be taken by the hand by the manager to my room 'next to him' at reception, i found this to be very creepy,so my friends son swapped with me. We had to ask for toilet rolls and clean towels, i was 'ill' on the bed sheets the first night so they were changed, but that was the only time. A friend came to meet us and needed to use the toilet, the manager wouldnt let het out of the hotel until she'd paid 1 lira for using the toilet. Bathroom floor flooded after every shower. Eaten alive by the mosquitos.
Would never stay here again

Absolutely pleasant

Oct 2009, Belle&Stino

My husband and I visited the Butik Hotel in July 2009 and can say we had a pleasant stay. The owners, Kamel and Rose, are such lovely couple, with good sense of humour and wonderful interaction with guests.
This hotel gives you the feel of a homely environment and it is ideally located for easy access to the beach, shops, restaurants, night clubs, etc, but yet tucked away in a quiet nice area from the main road. I celebrated my 40th birthday in grand style courtesy of Kamel who arranged for a cake to be purchased.
The hotel in general is very clean. The rooms and en-suites are cleaned to a high standard. Hot running water was available through out our 7 day stay. Towels and bed linen are not changed everyday, but let’s face it, do you change these daily at home?
The pool is very clean and we made the most use of it throughout our stay.
This is by no means a 5star hotel. However, for those on a low to moderate budget, I can highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Mamaris.

Had a great holiday, unsure of hotel on arrival as seemed small and dingy but it was 6am to be fair. Hotel is not the poshest but we only wanted a room so was perfect for that. Nice pool and sunbeds, close to beach and good shops/bars. Staff were cool,Fez is the man!! My wife had sunstroke and manager and family were amazing (got her medicine). Only one stupid rule is no food or drink in the hotel but loads of hotels have this rule.

Great Holiday
10 / 10
Aug 2009, Brighton-girlies

Myself and my friend have just returned from a week in Marmaris staying in the Butik Hotel. We are both in our twenties and had a lovely time. When we first arrived at the hotel we were a bit apprehensive as it was 6 in the morning and we had passed all the big hotels on the way and finally pulled up at what appeared to be a small hotel in the middle of nowhere. However we were tired after a long hot journey and checked into the hotel and we shown up to our room. We were on the first floor at the back of the hotel. There is no lift, however they carried our bags up the stairs for us. We we shown to our room which was small however very clean and all we needed really as we werent planning to spend much time in there. We paid extra for a saftey deposit box which was downstairs in the hotel reception(although after spending a week there, i probably would have felt happy to go without a safe as the staff were very friendly and trustworthy). We also paid extra for the air conditioning however this is always a must in my opinion especially as Turkey is so hot!! Once we were taken to our room, we jumped into bed and slept for a couple of hours feeling slightly apprehensive as we weren't quite sure exactly where we were!!
When we awoke around 9.30am we got up and felt a lot more comfortable and happy with our surroundings, i think the tiredness and how quiet is was had just worried us when we arrived. We showered and went downstairs to friendly staff and other hotel guests sitting around the pool having breakfast. The swimming pool is quite small however it is extremely clean and to be honest, the beach was only 5 mins away so we spent most of our time down there and then came back to the hotel in the afternoon for a refreshing, relaxing swim!!
We arrived for breakfast just after 10 and realised that breakfast was only served from 8am-10am, however the manager Kemal said it was not a problem and brought our breakfast out to us. It is a traditional Turkish breakfast of boiled egg, tomato, cucumber, olives, cheese and fresh bread with butter and jams. You can have tea and coffee for free also however we dont drink hot drinks, so purchased water from the hotel bar. Fes the barman was such a sweetheart, he works so hard to make you happy and nothing is too much trouble. Infact i think this goes for all the staff, Kemal and his wife, theirs sons Elvis and Ada, and the other bar staff Max and Gino.
Once we finished breakfast we asked the wife (i never actually caught her name) where the beach was and she gave us very clear directions. It was literally 5 mins down the street however you cannot see it from the hotel.
The beachfront was filled with bars and people trying to offer you their sun loungers on the beach for the day. The sun loungers are free as long as you purchase drinks from the bar, they are not too overpriced so it was fine.
Kemal the hotel owner had told us that the hotel was having a Turkish night and asked if we would like to come, there was to be food and entertainment and being our first night we decided we would do so and have a quiet night at the hotel. I'm very glad we did and the food was delicious and although the entertainment was a bit questionable the staff made it fun. They could have provided the entertainment themselves to be honest. They we hilarious!!
For the duration of the week the staff were so friendly as were the other hotel guests, it felt like we were all one big family and it made us feel so safe and comfortable. You have to walk down a small path to get to and from the beach which is quite dark at night time however there's always someone up at the bar looking out for you so we always felt safe.
We could not really say anything bad about the hotel, yes it is small and not fancy but what else do you expect when you pay so little? It is close enough to everything without being too close that you get the noise from the bars and clubs. The staff are what make this hotel special. We spoke to may other people who were staying in big posh looking hotels, however they said the food wasn't good and the staff weren't pleasant so i'm glad we stayed in the Butik Hotel, i'd much rather feel happy and have fun than stay in a big posh hotel room with miserable staff!!
We'd definately go back next year and could not thank the staff enough for making our holiday so special!!

we booked this hol as a late minute...
8 / 10
Aug 2008, Miss C Grimshaw

we booked this hol as a late minute deal, never been to turkey before but apsoloutley loved it. im only 21 and my bf is 24 so we were looking for good nightlife but not a falaraki type hol just a type of if you want it, its there but not right outside your hotel room! Butik was perfect where it was situated not far to walk from any places even though taxis were cheap. At first we were a bit dissapointed with the facilities in the room i.e wardrobe and draw space-very little. Also shower very basic and room small with just a bed and mirror on wall. We wondered why we didnt have any things like fridge and telly but we were told because we went b&b they dont provide things like that in this hotel, we were a bit annoyed at first at how basic it was but in the end we had a fab two weeks! the owners where lovely they are a couple and made us feel realy welcome, the only problem i found was the way they treated the bar man, especially the man the wife wasnt as bad. during our stay a lady who was due to go home was really upset to leave him there as they treated him so badly. As our stay got longer i also started to notice this when speaking to him he explained that he was sleeping on the hotel roof as his room was taken up with holiday makers and he was still paying board! he worked all day and night went to bed at 4am and was up again for 8am he worked so hard, that was the only thing that put me off but i would definatley go back there again. As i said its very basic but if your after a cheap deal then you get what you pay for. If your looking for a more comfortable suit with extras then dont go here!
