All I can say is, I was so sad to leave. 2 weeks was not long enough! There was me, my husband and my 18 month old. She had the time of her life. The pool area was cleaned every single evening without fail, so I never had any worries about my daughter walking around bare footed. Food at the bar was amazing! Big breakfast just 3 euros. Amazing! Location is perfect. The staff, Alex and Dennis.. I miss them already. They made us feel so at home, so polite and extremely helpful and generous. There will be no negative points that will put me off going again. I loved it so much. The room was exactly what you paid for. Some people are just extremely fussy when it comes to the rooms. You don't go on holiday to spend loads of time in your room anyway. Definately highly reccomend Lagoon.
I wonder if the snowball on the bingo has been won yet LOL.....

Ticks all the boxes

I score this hotel full marks based on the realisation that this is a budget package holiday hotel. If you do not expect certain features of more expensive and luxury hotels the the Lagoon ticks all the boxes. Spartan but adequate room, very clean, nice balcony overlooking pool (not all rooms do).
The pool and its surrounds are immaculate and well maintained. The bar has a very pleasant ambience during the day and has all the usual types of entertainment in the evenings. The staff all seemed like they were happy in their work and were good company.
The location cannot be bettered in Sidari for its nearness to everything without being in the heart of it.
Would recommend this hotel without hesitation

My wife, myself and our two kids booked the Lagoon at the last minute after our original holiday evaporated along with Gold Trail Travel.
First impressions were very good, pool and bar area are spotless as was the room.
Air conditioning was a bit of a con if you have a two bedroom apartment as you have to pay 7 Euros for each air conditioning unit and 14 Euros a day seems excessive.
Food was really very good and very well priced, the staff were all helpful and friendly.
There is a good size pool and plenty of sun loungers with shades, the early morning towel squad reserve a few of them but there are plenty to go round.
Also available is a good selection of books guests have left behind that can be borrowed from reception if you have used up your reading material.
If you have children try and get a room away from the bar area, the music can be quite loud in the evening.
All in all we had a great holiday and would go back again.

There were families staying in the apartments too- perfect for all ages. Pool and bar area great.
Would def recommend these apartments!

Went to the lagoon from the 24th august 2009 for 1 week.myelf and my 2 daughters,The staff who worked there were just great very helpfull ,Denis and alex who worked in the bar made you feel very welcome..And made my 2 girls laugh there head off.As the lagoon is just off the main road, traffic noise was ok.The only noise we heard was people going back to there room after a night out, which is not a problem.
The only thing i can say is take your own loo roll cos you only get 1.
The beach is just 2 mins away but most times i stayed by the pool.
As for the resturants many did special offers which were good if your on a tight budget. The only place we ate and didnt enjoy was Sea breeze which me and daughter got a upset tummy and many ofter people did [which i found out later] and 3 little pigs the food was burnt. But the rest of the places were great.
So all i can say is we had a great holiday there and it was our first time to corfu as well.so we have decided to back again august 2010.

Just came back from Sidari after staying at the Lagoon Hotel. Staff: Alex and Denis were very helpful and friendly. Rooms could do with a bit of updating and 1 toilet roll for 2 weeks was a bit tight. Pool cleanliness was excellent. Food was good and competetive.
Beach and sea safe for children. Sea Monkeys, on the beach, owned by Brits with free sunbeds. Memories, Sea Breeze and the Mexican Resturant good value eating places. Fagins for great homemade food. Downside was a bad experience with Vlarious Travel, go elswhere.
Agias Stephonas is another great beach. Would I go again, definatley

Me and my husband went to Lagoon apartments recently and is was fantastic. apartments were clean and all u needed for self catering. the pool was fab, clean and well looked after. the bar was clean, cheap and does really nice food. Dennis, Alex and Stella are all friendly and lovely. area around pool and bar was kept spotless at all times. not to much noise at night. just round the corner from both beach and main strip for resturants and bars. Simon the First Choice tour rep was a nice chap, his welcome meeting was helpfull. U must go on Theo's boat trip, its fab!!!! all in all we thrully enjoyed ourselves and are defo comming back next year.

THE HOTEL: Location: Lagoon Studios...
10 / 10
Sep 2008, Mr P Scopes

THE HOTEL:
Location:
Lagoon Studios and Apartments is situated just off the main "strip" through Sidari (about 20seconds walk so next to nothing!) The main beach is just across the strip, and the nicer, smaller beaches of the canal d'armor less than a 10 minute walk away. There is a co-op very close which sells fairly cheap food and drink etc.
Noise:
As it is situated just away from the stip we found that the noise was not nearly as bad as we expected at night. Most of the rooms are away from the bar (the hotel is shaped like an L and the bar is situated right at the end) so we did not have much problem with any noise from there, altho if you stayed closer to it it may be more of an issue.
The swimming pool:
Is absolutely fantastic. there is a guy there who spends hours every evening going around cleaning and tidying the entire pool area, washing areas down and checking that everything is working. Very impressed.
Food:
Although it is self catering, the bar serves food from 10am til 10pm. This is competitively priced and good value for money. From our experience it wasd cheaper and easier to simply eat at the bar rather than trying to buy and cook/eat supermarket food.
Staff and atmosphere:
Both me and my girlfriend agreed that we have never been on a holiday where everyone is quite so friendly! The bar staff are great, if you go im sure you will get to know dennis and alex! they are great. everyone is very laid back and willing to make an effort to make conversation and get on well with you. Loads of guests are also very friendly, its very easy going!
The Rooms:
these were fairely good, about what you would expect from 3* accomodation. we had a balconey which was spacious, and pretty much everything is there which you need. Oh and safety deposit boxes in the reception are free which is helpful.
The Downsides:
*You need airconditioning. this costs 7euros a night.
*We had a small ant problem in our room. not a big deal, but you had to make sure you washed up as soon as you had finished eating anything.
*The kitchen didnt contain a corkscrew or a few other small things which would have been useful had we eaten in more.
*you only get one toilet roll for the week.
*sheets are washed weekly, otherwise they are just folded (which is fine) but the floor is not swept. This would have been quite nice every few days or so because of sand from the beach etc.
Basically I rate lagoon studios and apartments highly, but you MUST bring a lot of mosquito repellant and you MUST pay for airconditioning as soon as possible!
THE RESORT:
General Area:
Sidari is pretty much a classic brits destination. It consists of a main "strip" where to the right it is more britsh night life - eg pubs playing football and souvenir shops selling fake watches/belts/wallets etc. This is fine but be prepared for it to be predominantly british and loud! We enjoyed it once we got used to it but it is not to everyones tastes. It is kind of like a las vegas of the wild west in a way..! There are also a few nice restaurants here too.
To the left it is more greek restaurants and quieter, being more pread out and fewer bars.
Food:
The food in general is good. We tried to sample traditional greek food and found that some do it well, where as others it tends to be more "greek food done to a british taste" with some additions of chips etc! You just need to look around really. Do not be too put off by empty restaurantes, some have a beach view at the back and out of the way where everyone goes, which was the case of one we visited and it was great!
A lot of places also do greek nights with fire dancing and plate smashing - great fun!
Drink:
drinks are cheap. the offers at night tend to be 3euro for a pint plus a free shot, or 2euros for just a pint.
The beaches:
The main beach is ok. i have been to cleaner beaches and there can be a fair bit of seaweed floating at the edge of the sea on a hot day. There are plenty of pedalows etc to higher (about 10euro/hour)and it is still nice to swim in.
I would rcommend you walk about 5 mins to the left of the strip to the canal d'armor area. Here the beaches are smaller and much nicer, with small coves and rocks dotted around, even a tunnel through a headland. There are plenty of shelves on the rocks you can swim out to and sit on. People also do a bit of cliff jumping which is good fun, altho in areas the water is very shallow so you need to check it out first. Otherwise it can be very nice and relaxing and a good afternoon out away from the hotel!
