Three Corners Ocean View Hotel Reviews
" The hotel is set in the Marina and... "
Submitted By: Mr G MaranWe stayed in the new part of the hotel and i must say that the room we had was great. We had an excellent view of the Lagoon and it were a nice quiet room (2363)
The pool is very lively with the animation team based there.
The beach by the hotel wasnt what i expected, very small and right by the entrance of the marina, therefore pointless going in with snorkles as it was very merky and couldnt see any fish. The main beach resembled a building site.
The eat around option is ideal as i am a very picky eater (as my partner says) and i found some of the meals at the hotel not to my taste.
The breakfast and lunches were fine it was just the evening meals.
We went on 2 quad trips and i would say that if your an adrenaline junkie then the morning one is great.... 3 hours in the desert going fast,,, the afternoon one is more subdued and you get to see the sun set over the desert.
Around the marina you arnt pestered as much as you are in Sharm but they do understand a firm no.
A trip in to downtown is a must on a toktok, just to say that you have been on one.
I must say a big hello to julie and mike, who were a constant source of laughs and amusement.
Would i go back..... the answer is no...... basically its a 3 star hotel trying to be a 4
The position of the hotel is great but i would be bored out of my head if i stayed for 2 weeks . Be prepared for the pharoahs revenge, my partner had bad stomach cramps and diarreah for 24hrs+ the chemist in the marina is well stocked and he speaks excellent english

Submitted By: Miss D LAWSONRooms are done each day , clean sheets and towels, you are provided a towel voucher for the pool if you don't wish to use your own. A small man made beach area with wind breakers provided free. If you wish to use other beaches you may use some that are indirectly joined to the hotel across the marina.
We asked for a sea view but got the marina, at this time of year it is shaded this side so does'nt get any sun. but has a lovely view nethertheless.
its gets very chilly so i would advise to take a coat or a thick jumper if you are into walking around the marina at night. In the day it averaged out at 27 degrees, great for getting a tan.
you may use other bars and restaurants and not loose your fully inc drinks but need to pay extra for food, this i think you need to book up.
I would recomend going on a snorkeling trip, its worth every penny , we went to Mahmaya island, an hour out to sea, only thing is i wish it had been longer because the weather was so nice we wanted to relax and enjoy every minute of it, but had to get back as it gets dark around 7ish.
To go on the trips to see the pyramids or the nile cruise, i would recomend you stay for 2 weeks, unfortunately we only had a week so did'nt get enough time time to visit them.
All in all i found it a grat place to stay, would go back again.
Neesha was our thomas cook rep, such a nice lady, always there to help with her wonderful smile.

Submitted By: Eliane DavieWe had an excellent spacious room with balcony overlooking the lagoon - it had the sun all day and was on the sheltered side of the hotel. Standards of cleanliness were good and Aymann (our steward) kept up a constant supply of witty towel shapes! We found food at breakfast and lunch generally good but evening buffet a bit monotonous - we ate around quite a bit and found this made a change; the Belgian restaurant was particularly good with really superb steaks!
Although we had realised that the weather would not be hot , we had not bargained on the strong winds (chilly) at night and we would certainly choose to visit at a different time of year in future! I believe that the optimum time weather wise is April-May and Sept.-October when the sea temperature is much warmer and it is pleasanter to walk about at night!
The Gala nights were extremely well organised and the food great - all the Three Corner establishments joined together making it a huge affair - tented - for us a bit too big but great for families. The staff were without exception attentive and helpful and the animation team worked hard to keep plenty of activities going putting a huge amount of energy into it. If you visit at this time of year - Dec.-Jan. - make sure that you take some warm jackets for the evenings!

Submitted By: Brian3460The food is a bit repetitive so we used the dine around scheme 2 - 3 times a week. The entertainment is poor to say the least, you see the animation team in Mexico and think that the shows they put on in Egypt would be to the same standard but it isn't. I ordered an Irish coffee and it cost me £ 2 to get a luke warm cup so beware.
Over all the holiday was excellent value for money but perhaps we will use the Rehana the next time as it is right in downtown El Gouna and easier to do a bit of shopping.
We had been to Hurghada before but we decided to do the city tour and we were not let down there was so much more to see and do and the shops they took you to were excellent. We will be back in the next few years.

" Have now visited this resort twice... "
Submitted By: Mr M D HillThis resort is truly beautiful and the weather is always sunny, on our first visit we were told it had not rained for at least 3 years and on our second we played a game called spot the cloud, nobody won that one, it was difficult to see where the sea ended and the sky started. Bliss.
" An excellent holiday, the weather was... "
Submitted By: GEM POWELLThere was a wide selection of food all of a good standard.
There were 2 pools one a very quiet one perfect for relaxing.
Small amount of shops in the resort, but enough for buying gifts and reminders of a lovely holiday.

Submitted By: Miss G KellyThis hotel is in a superb location. Marina Views one side and Red sea views the other side.
The trips to Cairo, Luxor and Quad biking are highly recommended we did all these three trips and loved every minute of them.
We have only been back in the UK 22 hours and we don’t usually post praises but I would recommend anyone to visit this hotel...couple...family...single.
The restaurant has a fantastic variety of food and the animation is fantastic for children.
From Aqua Aerobics to Arabic speaking lessons. All the Egyptians we met were very helpful and friendly.
A class - top hotel *****
" What a holiday! I have never felt so... "
Submitted By: Mrs T AndrewsWe were located above Peanuts bar which did get quite noisy in the early hours on a couple of occasions, but wasn't such an issue to want to give up our room.
The food was fine in the buffet restaurant but the evening meal was a bit limited...a bit plain for our liking with the same dishes on offer most nights. We took full advantage of the dine around option. What a great idea!
We enjoyed Chez Pascal a couple of times, really great steaks in here! We also tried the Moroccan restaurant and an Italian in downtown. We ended most nights in Peanuts bar, where we enjoyed the best Irish Coffee ever!
The head barman, Cheban, went out of his way to look after us.... as did the manager, Usaf.
The excursions we did were wonderful. We went on a 4 x 4 safari 125km into the desert! Our convoy of 4 vehicles enjoyed a white knuckle ride over very rough terrain. We had the craziest driver it has to be said - what the other Jeeps went around we simply flew over the top! Not for the faint hearted!
We also went on a 5 hour quad bike experience - absolutely wicked! Along with Dune Buggies, camel riding and a visit to a Bedouin village it was superb and definitely a trip not to be missed.
We took another excursion to an island (name escapes me) where we caught a boat from Hurghada. We tried snorkelling - but I was scared to death as we dropped off into a huge swarm of jellyfish the size of dinner plates! They were harmless but nevertheless freaked me out! The island itself was beautiful and we enjoyed our lunch there.
We have already decided to return - which is unheard of usually as I am one for trying different places. This was a truly great holiday. Enjoy your time there as much as we did!
" This hotel is fab and although... "
Submitted By: nuttytartFirstly our room was very nice and very spacious on the ground floor and about ten paces from the swimming pool.
Although an elderly couple in the next room asked to be moved as it was to noisy but this did not bother us in the slightest.
We had twin beds although we asked for a double but we just pushed them together.
On one particular night we were a bit merry and slept apart and the room cleaner left us a massive heart on the bed made out of towels the following day.
The hotel itself was very clean and immaculate; the cleaners were always around and always cleaning. Even the whole marina and the area we stayed was extremely clean, I was scared to drop any litter. This was never a problem as bins are everywhere.
The food in the hotel was very good, they catered for various nationalities. My partner is very picky about what he eats, but I was very surprised he ate more there than he does at home. This included veg and salad.
The waiters are very helpful, and can explain what most of the dishes are if you are not sure.
Our room was next to the swimming pool on the ground floor, we could walk out of our room and we were only 8 foot way from the pool, this was great. There lots of spots around the pool, where you can be in the sun all day, or shade, and even a bit of each. This was great for me as I love the sun, but it was nice to find some shade.
The temperatures through the week only went as low as 22 and as high as 29. The wind varied throughout the week, but this didn’t worry us at all you just made sure you had a fleece or coat incase. It would start to get colder after about 7 once the sun had gone down.
The hotel is in a great location, and has some of the best views of the Red Sea and the marina. And we cannot wait to go back.
" Just returned from a week holiday in... "
Submitted By: Mrs L PhilpottWhen booking our holiday we were informed that there was a shuttle boat to the beach 30 metres away, but unfortunately when we arrived this service had been stopped and replaced by a bus which take 15 minutes. We were very disappointed about this as we are beach goers.
This did not spoil our holiday as the hotel was excellent. The Abu Tig Marina is beautiful with lots of places to eat and drink, and also a few shops.
All in all a very good holiday, and would definitely go back.
Be prepared Hurghada can be very windy!

Submitted By: Kirsten LewisFrom the moment we walked into the hotel we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome.
I went with my husband and two of my sons aged 13 and 11,who also feel the same as I do.
The hotel surroundings are lovely, and the hotel is so clean.
Food is good and caters for all and staff are so helpful.
We went on the day Luxor trip ,its along day(4.45 - 23.30)but well worth the money and Mamyas island trip, this was also great and good for snorkeling weather you have done it before or not.
The only slight downside was football was shown in the bar where the entertainment was usually on so they brought some of it to the main bar .This wouldn’t normally be a problem but one woman insisted in trying to turn it into a sing along every night and had everyone trying to run and hide in the three corners.

Submitted By: Mrs M.P. MoranDid go on the Cairo tour offered by Thomas Cook and this was excellent worth the 7 hour coach trip. All the staff spoke English and all were only too willing to help. If you have children then do not go to this hotel as it does not really have much on offer for children. I went for 3 weeks to unwind and recharge the batteries and I am hoping to do it again.
The only downside to the holiday was the Thomas Cook flight as the seats were very cramped in and there was very little space.

there is lots of activtys to do there the ANIMATION team were great!! also the shows was brill but do use the dine around option the itallian and the indian resturants are lovely worth paying for cheap as chips like butit was disapointing as we did not bring a lot of money as we assumed the food eould be good but most of our money was on food and as my partner is fussy with his food the two of us was really off after my ordeal also there is a lot of shops with all the designer ham bags ect also the chica is cool to try !
i did enjoy this hoiliday we are concidering going back again but only 4 one week.
