We had an excellent holiday at this hotel. The service and friendiliness of the staff was superb throughout our stay. They were constantly cleaning and tidying all day.You have to be an earlybird to get a sunlounger on the sandy terrace but its worth it.The animation team put on various activities during the day but there is no pressure to join in. There is an excellent dine around scheme so you can visit other hotels and participating restaurants.
Be sure to book up to go quad biking in the desert, an amazing experience and visit Zeytouna Beach and for those that enjoy fishing try the all day fishing trip.
El Gouna is a safe resort to wander around at night and there is no hassle to buy from street vendors. Its not the 'real Egypt' of Luxor, Aswan or Cairo but you have the oppportunity to visit the temples and other sights if you want.
If you want lots of sunshine and just want to chill out I would recommend El Gouna and the Three Corners Ocean View.

What a fabulous place to stay. We were there on our honeymoon and we had picked this hotel specifically because it was advertised as 'adult friendly'. There really isn't anything ther for kids to do but there were still quite a few families there. I have to say the british family's kids were, on the whole, very respectful and well behaved unliked others that where there. Fortunately, there are a choice of areas to do your sunbathing so we dodn't have to suffer for too long. The food was lovely, always good choice for starters, main and desert. The dine around was great for a change of scenery and the food was exceptional. We went on the Rock n Shop excursion with Thomas Cook. It was a guided tour of Hurgada and dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. I was so glad I wasn't on my own. The traders in Hurgada Old Town were very pushy to the point I really wanted to get out of there quick. Not an experience I'd like to repeat. Anyway, the staff and service throughout the whole holiday was brilliant. It was the most relaxing holiday I've ever been on. The holiday and El Gouna can be, in my opinion, summed up in one word. IDYLIC.

Just arrived back from El Gouna.
Hotel staff were excellent, freindly, efficent, nothing was to much trouble.
Food although it could be repetative,it was good quality, and plenty off it.
Choice was varied,plenty off salads.
After several long trips arriving back to the hotel around midnight a buffet was arranged in the restuarant.
As for the area it is reseanable quiet with plenty going on both during the day and night.
Shopping is good, and has a varied selection of international cusine to suit all.
Buses into ElGouna Downtown is every 15 minutess up to 2am.Cost about 50p per person.
The hotel itself is on both the marina and on the red sea.
The hotel is safe and so is downtown.
I recommend this hotel to anyone, also El Gouna.
Agreat holiday with fantastic people,in a great location

hotel was lovely the place is really really nice the people are great to really friendly place spotless clean rooms apart from the food really discusting the first night i had food poison and was in bed for two days its a good job that we was there for two weeks or that would of been a real upset also if you do decide to go to this resort it is worth goin all in because the drink comes in handy haha!
there is lots of activtys to do there the ANIMATION team were great!! also the shows was brill but do use the dine around option the itallian and the indian resturants are lovely worth paying for cheap as chips like butit was disapointing as we did not bring a lot of money as we assumed the food eould be good but most of our money was on food and as my partner is fussy with his food the two of us was really off after my ordeal also there is a lot of shops with all the designer ham bags ect also the chica is cool to try !
i did enjoy this hoiliday we are concidering going back again but only 4 one week.

Apr 2008, Mr G Maran

The hotel is set in the Marina and has fantastic views of the lagoon and the red sea.
We stayed in the new part of the hotel and i must say that the room we had was great. We had an excellent view of the Lagoon and it were a nice quiet room (2363)
The pool is very lively with the animation team based there.
The beach by the hotel wasnt what i expected, very small and right by the entrance of the marina, therefore pointless going in with snorkles as it was very merky and couldnt see any fish. The main beach resembled a building site.
The eat around option is ideal as i am a very picky eater (as my partner says) and i found some of the meals at the hotel not to my taste.
The breakfast and lunches were fine it was just the evening meals.
We went on 2 quad trips and i would say that if your an adrenaline junkie then the morning one is great.... 3 hours in the desert going fast,,, the afternoon one is more subdued and you get to see the sun set over the desert.
Around the marina you arnt pestered as much as you are in Sharm but they do understand a firm no.
A trip in to downtown is a must on a toktok, just to say that you have been on one.
I must say a big hello to julie and mike, who were a constant source of laughs and amusement.
Would i go back..... the answer is no...... basically its a 3 star hotel trying to be a 4
The position of the hotel is great but i would be bored out of my head if i stayed for 2 weeks . Be prepared for the pharoahs revenge, my partner had bad stomach cramps and diarreah for 24hrs+ the chemist in the marina is well stocked and he speaks excellent english

great holiday nice people nice place, cant complain about anything, we went early when it was quieter but i should say it gets busier after easter, went on a tour of Luxor' this was absolutely amazing, went to see the valley of the kings and various temples. then went down the nile in a boat and finished of with a meal, would advise to fly there, a bit dearer but a lot less hassle than a coach. enjoyed a great break, will book again .

Mar 2008, Mrs C.A. Pihl

We had an excellent time and cannot say enough for the friendliness of the staff here. Our room was spotless and we also had no problems when requesting a move, as the original room had a double bed and we had requested 2 singles. The food was plentiful but a bit bland, which is probably needed when catering for large numbers, but we used the Dine Around option with great success. The only disappointment we had was with the Bedouin BBQ, which was not a barbeque by the way. The Bedouin part was most interesting but the so-called Jeep ride was not suitable for anyone of an age or with medical problems who does not like being driven off-road at speed, much more suitable for perhaps teen-aged boys, and we would not recommend this particular excursion. The Luxor by air excursion, however, was beyond our wildest dreams and we would recommend this, rather than the bus journey. Friends of ours had already booked on the bus to Luxor and were very disappointed by not so much the length of the drive, but the concentration on stopping at shops, rather than spending more time at the sights themselves and the total omission of the Temple of Hatshepsut.

we have been back a week and found the hotel spotless, the waiters all speak english and are very friendly. There is a variety of food whether you are a vegatarian or meat eaters, all superbly cooked by various chefs.
Rooms are done each day , clean sheets and towels, you are provided a towel voucher for the pool if you don't wish to use your own. A small man made beach area with wind breakers provided free. If you wish to use other beaches you may use some that are indirectly joined to the hotel across the marina.
We asked for a sea view but got the marina, at this time of year it is shaded this side so does'nt get any sun. but has a lovely view nethertheless.
its gets very chilly so i would advise to take a coat or a thick jumper if you are into walking around the marina at night. In the day it averaged out at 27 degrees, great for getting a tan.
you may use other bars and restaurants and not loose your fully inc drinks but need to pay extra for food, this i think you need to book up.
I would recomend going on a snorkeling trip, its worth every penny , we went to Mahmaya island, an hour out to sea, only thing is i wish it had been longer because the weather was so nice we wanted to relax and enjoy every minute of it, but had to get back as it gets dark around 7ish.
To go on the trips to see the pyramids or the nile cruise, i would recomend you stay for 2 weeks, unfortunately we only had a week so did'nt get enough time time to visit them.
All in all i found it a grat place to stay, would go back again.
Neesha was our thomas cook rep, such a nice lady, always there to help with her wonderful smile.
