We have just returned from 2 weeks at The Three Corners
I have to say that that I went out with some fears about what to expect but they soon disappeared.
Although we were delayed by 3 hours going out the staff still met us with a cold drink and a smile and carried our bags to our room.
We had chosen to upgrade to a Duplex room and were glad that we did as it gave us a little extra space, the room had a fridge and hairdryer plus shower rather than a bath.
The weather was boiling between 42 and 48 for the fortnight and we were glad we had stocked up with sun cream.
We found the pool a little busy in the mornings and whilst It does state that the claiming of sun beds before the pool is open is frowned upon but it does happen although this may be due to a little tip to the pool guy to save your bed!
We usually went to the beach until 1.30 or so and then back to the hotel for lunch, a little siesta and then down to the pool about 4.00 for a couple of hours.
It does state that the claiming of sun beds before the pool is open is frowned upon but it does happen although this may be due to a little tip to the pool guy to save your bed!
Overall the food was good if a little repetitive but have to say that it was more than edible every day and they do have some wonderful cakes!
If you want to go snorkelling I can recommend going off the Hyatt's pier as there are some wonderful corals and fish there, also the pier at the Sofitel is good fun.
We saw nothing of the First Choice rep except on arrival in Taba and on the coach going home that said we did not need him, others did and found him to be good.
Entertainment is a bit of a letdown really and the only thing that needs some work on, that said I also think that we as holiday makers need to get a bit more involved when asked.
I would suggest talking to Max (in the reception area) regarding trips as he is much better value than the reps and the trip we went on consisted of Quad Bikes for an hour and a half, a Jeep Safari to the Blue Hole, lunch snorkelling for 2 hours and then a camel ride all for £35.00 p/p you can’t beat it.
Mario’s supermarket is great value for bits and bobs and if you want to buy any inflatable then we got a big shark and a crocodile, they will also blow them up for you saving your lungs!
Tipping is up to you really and the hands of the people of the hotel are not outstretched all the time, we tipped as and when we felt like it and that seemed to be fine.
Al in all we had a great time and would we go again well that would be a definite YES.

I’ve just returned from three corners, I really enjoyed my holiday the people are so friendly made some really good friends which I will miss loads. The weather was amazing was really warm in late 40s.
I was in all inclusive so the food was really nice and the staff were helpful. The scenery was amazing could see Jordan and Isreal and the mountains were lovely.
There was plenty of activities to do such as quads, parasailing, banana boat, diving, bedoin dinner and many more.

I was in a party of 8, 5 adults and 3 children, this hotel is exactly as it looks in the brochures, it was fabulous, the weather was very hot, and the hotel itself was great with spectacular views of the mountains.
The food was also good although could do with a bit more of variety, but it did us just fine. The food at the Beach bar was lovely and well worth the money (very cheap). Everyone who worked there was very friendly.
The rooms were also very good and spacious. The only down fall is that there is not much entertainment at night but you are usually very tired by about midnight anyway so it suited us just fine.
I can’t wait to go back, I will try and get back there in October. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Having just returned from Taba 3 Corners for the fourth time I felt I must post my observations.
First the negative points. Only one! First Choice aircraft. I have never been so uncomfortable on any flight. No leg room and they say that 5 hours is not long haul.
Look at their adverts on TV and they say we will give you more leg room than all our competitors. WRONG on every count. Moaning over the cabin crew knew their job and looked after us well on our flight arriving in 4 hours 19 minutes. A very pleasant surprise.
On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by Magali (Customer relations manager) who speedily arranged check in and within minutes we were in our rooms.
The rooms are spacious and fully air conditioned and the housekeeping team were there every morning cleaning, changing all bedding and towels the rooms were always spotlessly clean. One tip here is to look after the staff. They are on very low wages (Some as low as £35/month).
A little tip here goes a long way to making a good holiday into an excellent one that you will never forget.
The food. If I'm totally honest was not as good as last time but I defy anybody not to find a dish that they cannot eat. Always a good selection and choice. The staff were always on hand and once they get to know you your glass was never empty for long.
I must give a mention to my favourite chef Shaban who has gone beyond his job description many times in making mine and my groups holiday a memorable one. They also have an al a carte restaurant called Chez Pascal. I have never had a steak like it and it was cooked and flambéed in front of me by the legendary Tom Cruise lookalike Emad.
What to do whilst you are there: In a word not a lot. Having said that this hotel is the most relaxing hotel I have ever stayed in. If you want a nice quiet holiday with plenty of sun (was 45C most days) this is the place for you.
The pool is spacious with a smaller pool for the little ones and has a bar that is open from 10am 'til 6pm.Peanuts bar adjacent to the restaurant is open from midday until midnight on the all inclusive. Thanks to Hani and Ashed for looking after us so well. Still got the bruises from the peanuts.
There are many excursions which you may purchase at a price. Cairo and the Pyramids are well worth seeing if you can stand a 6 hour coach trip after your 5 hour flight. Jerusalem was my favourite but again a very long day. It is always a good tip to check other tour operators prices they are often much cheaper.
We used a local Max's in reception. He was 30% cheaper than the big boys. He is also much cheaper for the quad biking which was a good fun morning out
Taba Heights is still a very new resort and hotels and shops are springing up every time I return. The new 18 hole golf course is now fully up and running but too hot for me to play.
The hotel is sited approximately 10 minutes from the beach by the local free shuttle bus (every 30 mins) .The beach although man made is always clean and the bar/restaurant serves cheap good meals. All inclusive only soft drinks but you can get a good pint for £2.00.If you are a scuba diver then this is the place for you. I have seen fish and coral only rivalled by the Great Barrier Reef.
Entertainment: Not a lot but if you want a quiet holiday like me you won't miss it. Every morning Aqua gym and water polo. Every night poor entertainment from the Animation team but having said that they are getting things together at long last.
In conclusion you may say, “Would I go back again.” We have all booked for November 2007 .So standby get the peanuts ready.
Finally thanks to all the staff and I mean all. Without them our holiday would never be the same
Thanks to:-Magali, Shaban, Ehad, Hani, Haney, Ashed, Amir, Hatem, Saad and all the animation team.

I just had a week at this hotel and it was amazing. People really friendly and helpful and you must go snorkelling it’s like going in a tropical fish tank!
The rooms were clean and tidy and the food and drink well.
The weather really hot and sunny and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. I didn’t want to come home.
The excursions were well organized and good. The pool bar man tom cruise was a good laugh!
I can’t wait to go back in March. I didn’t have injections and wasn’t bothered by mossies and dint have funny tummy either.

Just got back this morning and overall we had a excellent time. The staff at this hotel are great; they really can't do enough to help. The resort is spotlessly clean.
The food on the whole was very good apart from one incident with barbecued chicken being raw in the middle, so please be careful with the chicken.
The snorkelling is brilliant; we went off the pier more often than not (its also quite good in front of the Marriott beach bar).
If you need to buy cigarettes, get them from Mario's supermarket, they are very cheap there - £7.50 for 200 Marlboro Lights.
We went to Pub Tandoori a few times while we were there. The service is excellent and the food good, however the menu is very limited.
We did the Eliat daytrip, which we really enjoyed. They take you to see the underwater observatory, where you get to see lots of coral, fish, sharks, turtles, and stingrays. The next stop is the dolphin reef where you get to see the dolphins being fed and playing. We had lunch here at dolphin reef in the beach bar and it was lovely.
The last stop of the day is the shopping mall. As we are not big shoppers we ditched and went for a walk along the front.
We are definitely going to return to Taba, but will try the Sofitel or Intercontinental, as these are all-inclusive resorts directly on the beach. The shuttle bus became a bit of a pain towards the end of the holiday.

Just had two weeks holiday. Weather was great, the hotel has lovely views and is really relaxing.
The rooms were a nice size and always clean a presented with swans & flowers made out of towels some times. Balcony had great views depending on where you room is.
There are daily activities but don’t expect a lot ,water polo every day, the hotel is for older couple just wanting to relax and peace and quiet .
The all inclusive restaurants were lovely and good prices, the food in the all inclusive is repetitive, and not what we think is a high quality, and very small selection you have to be prepared to eat out of the all inclusive.
But, if you are a young couple or group who want some night life I would say this is not for you, even though we were told that there is things to do in the area and there is night time entertainment in the hotel.
Well, we must of walked around with ours eyes shut for 2 weeks as we would not class what we saw as entertainment. Don’t listen to web sites or anyone that says there is a casino next door to Three Corners, it is there but it’s still being built.
The entertainment was not of any quality from other hotels we have stayed in before.
There is a very small peanut bar which is dark and has no life in it and after a week of it its boring. There a very small selection of shops next door.
If you have booked, make sure you go quad biking in the canyons, that was amazing. Great fun around £44 per person for 2 hours through First Choice well worth it, there are lots of other days out if you have the money.

This was actually the second holiday my partner and I had spent at this hotel - usually we like to go somewhere different, but we loved it here so much we went for the second time.
On our second visit, I was 6 months pregnant, and the wonderful staff couldn't do enough for me. Like so many other reviewers that have been here more than once have said, the staff remember you, and make you feel very special.
The manager sent a huge basket of fruit to our room.
The food is great and beautifully presented, the pool is lovely, the rooms are clean, and the staff amazing - we made some very good friends among them.
The first year we went, we did all the trips, and would recommend the overnight trip to Cairo (although the hotel where we stayed was not a patch on the El Wekala!).
It seems most people do the day trip, and are cramped onto one big coach - there were only 8 of us on the overnighter, so had plenty of room to stretch out on the journey, and had the best views in the museum (and could actually hear what our guide was saying to us).
Our minibus drivers were hilarious, and even though they had driven all day, took us to the light show at the pyramids in the evening, which was not part of the tour.
We would not recommend Mount Sinai/St Catherine’s - you expect it to be a magical experience, but it is anything but! After battling up the mountain path all night vying for space with the camel trains carrying Japanese tourists, you arrive at the top, where there is nowhere to sit, and there are already a hundred other tourists up there waiting for the sun to rise.
After that walk, the monastery is the last thing on your mind, and the burning bush looks a bit like an old bramble to me! Should you need the toilet, you have to queue for ages to squat over a stinking hole in the ground for which you are expected to pay a pound!
We also went to a Bedouin camp for a meal one evening. You ride on a camel to the camp, then eat with the Bedouins (quite basic, but tasty meal), then camel ride back again - the return journey is under the stars which is pretty special.
We loved the snorkelling boat trip too, and have done that both years.
All in all, we loved this place, and we are looking forward to taking our little boy there very soon. This is a very quiet resort - perfect for those who just want to chill out and totally relax.

Second time at this hotel and won't be the last. If you are looking for a relaxing peaceful holiday that only wants you to get involved if you choose to, then this hotel is for you.
The hotel itself is first class, and out of the hotels in Taba Heights certainly in our opinion the prettiest, set at the foot of the mountains with stunning views of the Red Sea, Jordan and Israel you will find it totally out of this world.
Rooms are spacious and extremely clean. I dare anyone to eat in the restaurant and not find something to eat every night (unless you’re the brit abroad that moans and expects the same food you have at home).
We enjoyed the food at breakfast lunch and dinner and never once struggled to find something delicious to eat, my daughter has never eaten so much food and tried different things.
Service in the restaurant is exceptional and you'll not be long before your empty plate disappears and the empty glass filled up again. Please remember to tip these guys (the wages are poor they don't expect it at all, but are touched by your kindness.)
Friends, well what can I say, you will meet many and stay in their hearts forever and that's just the staff. I travelled with my partner and our 2 1/2 year old daughter (who was treated like a princess) we stayed at El Wekala January 2006 and as soon as we stepped off our mini bus were greeted by staff that remembered us from last year.
You will meet several characters on your vacation and will remember all for various traits too many too mention but like us you will find your favourites and their antics will stay fondly in your heart.
Yes I miss Taba, the weather, the hotel, the staff, friends that were made and mostly the fact that it's back to reality once again! The staff make this hotel a real holiday and you will not want for anything.
Please don't hesitate to book this hotel because I can assure you that you will not regret it for one minute, and like so many others, you will get hooked and want to return again and again.

We have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive holiday, at this very special hotel.
My husband and I were accompanied by our daughter and her friend, both 18 years old. What can I say, the holiday was amazing - the girls had an absolutely fantastic time.
The hotel is situated in a stunning location, above the actual resort, and I have to say away from all the other hotels (a plus point for us).
In front of us were views of the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and behind us, impressive pink granite mountains and the Sinai desert.
The hotel is set away from the beach (free transport to access this), so you get the best of both worlds.
All the staff at the hotel were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them - we wanted to be looked after, rest and relaxation and this is what we got. We weren't allowed to lift a finger.
The entertainment is low key and not in your face, which is what we like. We felt safe that the girls could do their own thing, they made some very good friends and all the staff were on first name terms with them.
I thought they may be bored before we went, but this was not the case at all - in fact there wasn't enough hours in the day for them to achieve all they wanted to do.
The food was excellent and there was always plenty to choose from and more than enough to eat. I challenge anyone to complain about the food.
We all went to Cairo for the day to see the pyramids, and the museum of Egyptology, and we had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe with views of the River Nile, the girls were excited by this and bought the t-shirts to prove it. It was a long day, but worth the effort, and it is only a day.
We saw spectacular coral from a glass bottomed boat, and multicoloured fish, it was amazing. The girls went quad biking in the desert which they thoroughly enjoyed and went to the Blue Hole, both these trips they did on their own and we felt happy that they would be safe.
The Blue Hole trip was booked through Max (he is in reception at the hotel and did the trip £15 cheaper for each person than first choice - so check him out before you book anything!) the girls had a guide to themselves for the whole day, as they were the only 2 on the trip - talk about first class service!!
They went snorkelling at the Blue Hole, rode on camels and then went shopping, what more could you want.
The good friends we made whilst there will stay with us for a long time, the girls are in contact with some of them, and are planning to return in December for another 2 weeks.
As for me, in my mind I am still in the beautiful swimming pool, taking in the fantastic views, soaking up the wonderful sunshine and feeling completely relaxed.
Would we go back - of course we would without hesitation.
So what are you waiting for - book this holiday with complete confidence - you really won't be making a mistake - that is a guarantee.

We have recently returned and had a wonderful time.
The hotel was immaculate with comfortable spacious rooms, great choice of food and very friendly and helpful staff.
The beach is great and is only a 2 minute ride on the free shuttle bus.
The views of the mountains and surrounding areas were fantastic.
Our room was situated at the rear of the complex and we had a lovely view from the very spacious private terrace.
If you want to party all night you may be disappointed. But the bar is nice and the entertainment from the resident animation team was great.
It is the ideal place to relax and chill out.
The only criticism was the extortionate prices for trips. You will be restricted to where you can visit because of the necessary security measures in place. There was no car or bike hire.
We will definitely visit again.

Well this review is a bit overdue but I don’t normally write them but after seeing everyone given this hotel 9 and 10s I felt I had to add mine.
I’ve been to Egypt a few times and I would have to stress that I would probably not come back this hotel... don’t get me wrong its not that bad, the views are great but they are every where in Egypt.
The good points.
The pool is nice and big
The food is ok for a week, same thing every night but that’s common in Egypt
The entertainment team try their best
The bad point.
The rooms are really small (and I’m not fussy, I’m from Liverpool for god’s sake lol)
Its ten mins ride on the free shuttle bus to the beach
It is in the middle of nowhere and I mean no were I think it’s a couple of hours to the nearest shopping place although they do have a few shops on sit
And the thing that got this hotel the 6 is the bar.... it is very small very smoky and painted dark red which makes it look even smaller and depressing, which is a shame really coz a lick of paint would really let light in an it would feel more happy.
All in all if you just want a week away to top up the tan then it’s ok
I would recommend a nice hotel though, with excellent service and your beer and drinks out of can not the pump, Fort Arabesque Hotel in Makadi Bay, look it up its lovely we stayed there for two weeks and would defo go back.
Again, I felt I needed to add my...

Again, I felt I needed to add my comments to this page as I found it so useful prior to booking. I can only praise this hotel on every aspect - location, cleanliness, excellent service, fabulous friendly staff, food, amenities.
My family have never been to Egypt and I booked with trepidation taking two teenage girls, 17 yr and 15 yr. We all had a fabulous time, the girls involved themselves in the evening entertainment and were safe within the hotel complex unsupervised and unfunded by ourselves, as this hotel really is all inclusive and once we had paid for the initial holiday (very reasonable) there were really no extra expenses.
We did as a family go quad biking in the desert and scuba diving. These were well worth the price for the fun and experience. We were only there for a week but came home relaxed, tanned and rested.
The only comment I would make was that there were no shops for the girls to spend their money in, not for want of trying. But is this a negative?

3 Adults, 3 children ages 14, 18, and 20.
This was our second holiday at this hotel and we took the kids this time, or should I say young adults.
This hotel is not on the sea front, but what makes up for this is the fact that it is very much a smaller hotel and very friendly. It has a heated pool and yes it was heated when we where there.
You do not need to take a towel as they provide you with a beach towel card; they even provide towels at the beach.
The staff remembered us as we visited the same time last year. Which meant they spoilt us rotten... we had fresh fruit placed in our rooms twice during our 2 weeks stay, our daughter was not feeling too well for a couple of days so didn't come down for meals.
They even took breakfast to her room which included fresh orange juice. At one stage staff where even taking cups of coffee out of my hand and placing it on our table at breakfast.
My daughter turned 18 while we were there; they made her a cake complete with her name and sang around her.
The rooms are very clean and the shower is to die for. Towels changed daily, we never know what to expect on our return to our room... swans. Croc’s, love hearts, etc. at one point even a person on the bed made out of a blanket and towels. It was nice to come back to. There is even a hairdryer in the bathroom.
Meals are nice and always hot... oh and watch the soup i burnt my mouth it was that hot. The bread, rolls etc where fresh every day, and expect chips only once a week. There was always another potato option. Breakfast was another big meal, and pancakes which the kids will love are made fresh in front of you.
There is a great view from where you have your meals whether you are eating in or out. The Golf course is now open and it sits in front of the hotel.
You can get the free bus to the beach where you will find the hotels very own beach complete with pool, bar (none alcohol only) and of course free towels. The sea is great for snorkelling... turn left at the beach walk to the last hotel and snorkle off the very last landing stage, straight in fronts for about 100 yards... its amazing there... we even saw turtles.
Trips we found where a lot cheaper and better value for money and service if you went with MAX the rep is in the reception at a fixed table with a computer. We booked all our trips with him at a rate of about 30%+ cheaper. A massive saving due to there being 6 of us. Example of a trip he did for us was 6 to Dahab £80 and then our daughter swam with dolphins in an newly opened place... cost £60 bargain...
We even went quad biking during the same trip for £12 each and it lasted about 1 1/2 hours. It was great. A must do trip is the blue hole again go with MAX ££ cheaper. With MAX you have the guide and bus all day and he will do the day at a pace for you. Not like travel agents tours.
I would recommend that you either take some USD or use the bank at the back of the hotel to get your money, don't do like we did first time and take Egyptian money with you and at very poor exchange rate at home..
You give bank your card they swipe it in the banks machine and give you the cash you require, and with no commission and the exchange rate is what you see in the bank... brilliant...
After all you will be AI so who needs money for the first day there. There is now a supermarket open at the back of the hotel, cheapest place to buy for souvenirs and it stocks a good range of stuff.
All that there is left to say is enjoy your holiday and if you are there in November 07 we may even see you there.
I had to add a review as...

I had to add a review as everyone else's review was so useful before I went to the Three Corners.
All in all a fantastic hotel - not because of the facilities, but because of the excellent levels of service from all staff and their wonderfully positive and professional attitude.
I arrived in Taba washed out and exhausted after a long plane flight from a wintry UK; I left relaxed happy tanned and feeling better than I have for ages.
I was only there for a week (with my family - the kids loved it!), but some things I would recommend are:
- Having a massage at the hotel. This is done in a marquee next to the pool and after a couple of these you have to relax. Only 20 Euros each which is amazing compared to UK prices.
- Going to Israel to see 1. The aquarium where you can walk 3 meters under the sea to get a fantastic view of a coral reef and 2. To go the dolphin place where you can swim with dolphins - amazing!
Eilat wasn't much cop, but worth going just to see the airport in the middle of town and to have the experience of getting across the border from Egypt (from a desert to western Europe in 100 yards!).
- Waterworld, which is a watersports facility in the Taba Heights complex. Again, fantastic staff and very cheap. My 9 year old daughter had her first go in a kayak and on a banana boat.
I wish I'd gone there more often - there was virtually no one there on the afternoons that I got the free mini bus there from the hotel.
- Have a swim in the sea (in February!), but make sure you've got some water sandals and the sea was quite rocky with pebbles and then coral.
It really was a great experience and I would love to go back. Most people on our coach back to the airport shed a tear when we left the hotel (it didn't help that the Animation team gave us a sending off with a sort of song/dance - although I did have the feeling that they kind of made this up as they went along!).
Yes it's only 4 stars, but really I don't think you're going to be missing out on anything. Thoroughly recommended.
PS I never thought I would say this but the Thompson Rep was excellent - enthusiastic, empathic and genuinely keen that we should all have a good holiday.
