We stayed here for 2 weeks, it was our first holiday in Egypt. The rooms were spotless, the staff were all excellent, and we have stayed in touch with Mohammed (pool attendant). We have booked to go again in October and May. Taba is lovely and very relaxing, but not the place if you want a lot of nightlife, we were happy just to laze around for 2 weeks, but will be going on trips this time, with Max as he is so much cheaper. We made many friends, both holidaymakers and shopkeepeers, Tito is lovely and also mamoud who runs the handbag/rug shop he made us so welcome and we ended up spending 2hrs in his shop chatting, drinking tea and swapping photos. We are meeting up with a couple who stayed here in May for another 2 weeks in October, and again in May. FOOD - yes this can get a bit monotonous as can drinking the same coctails everynight, but the beach bar does a great steak or burger and the manager there is a lovely man. All the staff are firendly, polite and helpful. If you want a holiday to just relax and laze around then this is the place for you. Just wish October would hurry up as we can't wait to go back :)

I have just returned from holiday staying at 3 Corners El Wekala resort. The welcome we received from Staff was very good, Rooms were really good with good air conditioning which we needed as it was very hot, the week we stayed it was 120 - 140 degrees. The food was very good and a good selection, plenty to drink, waiting staff were very friendly towards us probably because we Joked with them which they seem to enjoy. Not like some people who spoke down to them. The massive swimming pool was good and the same depth all around. The sun beds were not a problem as we did tip the pool guard who reserved us 2 sun loungers each day. The highlight was the Entertainment team who appeared every day at the same time with the catchy song and dance routine they put on, you found yourself humming the tune most of the time. A very friendly place but what i think is a pity is that when it comes to the end of your holiday and you feel that you would like to tip the waiting staff but we did not always have the same waiters so perhaps a system in place with an envelope given at the end of the trip that goes into a pot ,to share with all the waiters and kitchen staff and a separate envelope for House keeping , this they do on cruise ships which i feel is a fair way not just one individual also gives a boost to the staff knowing at the end of a week that they will be rewarded.Taba Airport is another story best left alone. The tour operator could improve on informing people more clearly on departure details as we were told nothing about delays from Gatwick as we could have spent more time on the last day around the pool rather than the wait at the airport. We would return to this resort for 2 weeks next time as its very good value for money.

recently returned after 2wks and i can honestly say we had a fabby holiday.
i was with my husband and 2 kids ( 4 , 8 ) .
i read all the reviews before we went and i was a bit wary and expecting less ........maybe im just easily pleased.
we has a grat suite with lots of room , and had a fab shower , and hairdryer ( just as well ... i forgot mine ) , clean towels daily and im sure the bedding was as well , normally thins is changed only 1-2 weekly in other holidays in other countries. a few times i came back at the end of the cleaning and my room smelt great .
food was fine , the hotel caters for many nationalities and and we all eat different , so taking this into consideration they did well , there was always something you could eat and we can b a bit fussy . i never found the waiters letching at me or anyone we met and could honestly say that i found them all individual as people at no point rude. ahmed the resturant manager was graet , anything we could have wanted would have been provided . we met friends and it was a birthday , the staff turned around an cake and song in about 10 mins , all complimentry.
animation team were great , ramy , amiro , mero , to mention a few , , , my kids loved the mini disco , yes it was the same every nite , but kids love routine and get to know the dances easier ,
i always felt safe , , security guards ar fine , pleaseant not letchy, no more that any young bloke in the uk would b if lots of femles were haning about almost naked .....at times i found them really quite respectful ,as with all the male staff .
weather was graet , o few pesky mozzys (thats why 9/10) did get eaten alive , but some never . went to pharmacy and got all i needed a fraction of the price we would pay in uk.
i would have no problems at going back , in fact we are planning to return next easter for poss 3 wks , we paid a reasonable price for a family of 4 and got a more that reasonable holiday . as i mentioned i was tasty to the bugs , but without any problem with the help of the security guard the man who sprays the insecticide came to my room and used a hand held machine to blast and kill any poss mozzys, housekeeping also left me a room sray as well . the "mozzy man" as i called him did go aboout and spray , but its for the tourists benefit , i really didnt see i as that much of a hassle , god , ur in a different country , some people like to complain
im defo going back ...............................

We have just arrived back from the Three Corners and had quite a nice time overall. The Animation Team were very friendly especially Amero and Hany.My daughter used the Trixie Club everyday and loved it as the lady who ran it was fantastic. The downside was the food could have been better quality and more variety for example fresh fruit and juices,BBQ nights etc.The pool at the Beach wasn't inclusive of snacks and the day you check out All Inclusive stops at 3 o'clock which we thought was very mean indeed.Management should introduce more 'Brand Names' as the Cola/Sprite was just cheap coloured fizzy water, which doesn't leave you much choice of drink apart from bottled water. Some nice Wine wouldn't go amiss either.
The thing that annoyed us the most though has to be the waiters who pester your teenage daughters constantly which is totally inappropriate.Management need to put a stop to this behaviour today.
Taba itself is a very relaxing place with great views we will visit again but will not stay at the Three Corners Resort.

This hotel represents good value for money however it could be made more relaxing if it was less of a bun fight!
Check in was slow on arrival, which is a bit much if you have spent an entire day travelling. Breakfast the next morning was fairly grim - there were never enough cups and tea and coffee ran out time after time. If you queued for an omlette, the chef had an annoying habit of pouring batter into one of his four small frying pans just as you arrived and then sneering at you asking what you wanted so you had to wait for the silly pancake to cook. Another chef snuck up on me and repeatedly asked me if I liked chips.... I am five foot two and weight 8 1/2 stone, so I failed to get his point.
Tipping will ensure that you have a better time. Hany down at the beach bar is deligtful and kind. The beer, throughout is fine - the wine is vile, red, rose and white. The best is called Grand marquis.
The Magic Carpet restaurant served us the slowest and worst meal I have ever tasted but responded well to being told that it was unacceptable to serve overcooked tuna and cold chips. Chez Pascal was slightly better. The Thai one was expensive and mediocre. The food in the hotel was ok. 4 out of 5 of us suffered a stomach disorder, and I am still suffering four days after our return.
The sun loungers at the hotel get filled very early by people who turn up mid morning. Luckily, as there is NO nightlife whatsoever, we all went to bed at 9pm and so we awoke early - which was the way to get the most out of the day with the sun going down at 5pm. The pools and beach are the nicest place to spend the day if you like to relax. Up at the hotel pool its noisy and they play music on a loop. I still have the Three Corners Hotel theme tune on the brain.
The hotel laundry was fantastic and very good value. One pound to wash and iron a gentlemans shirt really beautifully. Unfortunately, rather than just dump in on the bed/hang it in the cupboard, the staff rang at 8.50 every morning to check if it was a good time to deliver (ie, can they have another tip please).
The bedrooms were fine. Unfortunately, mine was above the entrance and the security man below seemed to spend all night receiving telephone calls and every time someone set off the body scanner it made a noise like an alarm clock. Luckily we worked out how to make the air conditioning drown that noise out. OMG! ALSO, at 6.30am every day the groundsmen spray noxious insecticide everywhere - the noise and the stench are horrendous. It sounds like a WW1 bomber flying low over the building and quite frankly, it cannot be good for anyone to inhale that sort of thing.
Finally, Taba itself is like a film set. It could be anywhere. There was nothing cultural about Taba at all except perhaps the camel.

Food/ Drinks - nothing other than beef really on the menu, not much choice. No dytime snacks that are all inclusive everything else is charged to your bill. as far as drinks went it was either beer or a non branded vodka or gin no choice.
Entertainment - non exsistant other than half n hour of mini disco for children, day time activities a disgrace, twice a week they show the same show which lasts under an hour.
As far as All inclusive holidays go this is by far the worst i have ever been to, it is more like self catering. I would not recommend this holiday to anyone!

I stayed at the 3 Corners hotel in March 2007 with just my husband and enjoyed it so much that this year (March 08) we took the kids back with us. The staff are excellent and can't do enough for you, the variety of food and standard of the food was very good. The hotel itself was beautiful with a good variety of shops and the entertainment laid on by the animation team at the hotel for both kids and adults was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

As this was our first time in Egypt we really didnt know what to expect so we were pleasantly surprised by the architecture and location of this hotel. Comparing the food to other 'all inclusive' holidays we have been on we found this to be very acceptable and of a reasonable standard. As for the bar facilities and entertainment we found them both sadly lacking! The small 'peanuts' bar was dingy, smelly and not efficient! We found our room clean and welcoming with no issues, however the service from a particular member of the bar staff left a lot to be desired! This involved around the fact that money was an issue when we were not expecting to pay for "extras" as the hotel is all-inclusive. This we found particularly irritating towards the latter part of the holiday and hence complained.
This was a very average holiday....

This was a very average holiday.
Reception is easily confused, the security guards are creepy, as are the waiters and unfortunately don't know what is charming and what is just plain unacceptable behaviour.
The facilities are basic at best, beds are hard and take some getting used to, there is a very small bar, and the entertainment is not great.
The food is basic (salad, rice, pasta and soup daily and then some meat dishes), repetitive and saw almost everyone in our group with a mild stomach upset.
The shops will try their luck with extortionate prices to see how gullible you are, and don’t go loosing anything because even if it is handed in to reception by another guest, you will never see it again.
On the plus side, the pool was nice, the beach was nice, the bar manager ali was great, as are the pool attendants, the housekeeper and the animation team, mimo, toti, m and the others.
What can I say other than, I wouldn't go back.
This was a good and a bad...

This was a good and a bad holiday all at the same time.
When we walked in it seemed quite impressive, then that was it. As soon as we got to reception the level of competence of the staff showed immediately.
It took at least 20 minutes to book in and the staff seemed to get overly confused when it was quite simple - 4 rooms, 8 guests, anyway that done we made our way to the room.
Mountain view can quite literally mean you open the balcony doors and there is the mountain - no more than 500 yards away!
The rooms were basic, no tea making facilities or irons, you had to hire them for the duration of your stay. The bed was hard and took some getting used to. However housekeeping was very good, we would come back to the room every day and find a new surprise awaiting us on the bed! Swans made from towels, love hearts, flowers, and all sorts! The towels were clean but thread round the edges, and water is only left in the fridge on the first night.
The security guards are creepy especially if you have teenage girls and I can only say that the best policy is to ignore them totally, then they won’t bother you. Don't let them wander around at night on their own, make sure they go in pairs. Same with the waiters, who try too hard and end up being completely annoying. The only staff who don’t act like this is those at reception, the bar manager, ali, who is a diamond, and the animation team who are fantastic and absolutely made our holiday so much better just by being there, mimo, toti, m and all the others.
The drinks included are local and cheap and served in measures never seen in England before - beware if you're not normally a drinker! The food was no better than just ok. There was salad, soup and bread, pasta and rice daily and then it was pot luck. Some of our group ended up only with soup most of the time (fussy teenagers and not greatly appetising food) and quite a few of us suffered from mild stomach upsets at some point in our 2 week stay.
Do try your best not to lose or misplace anything, because even if it is handed in, you will never see it again in this hotel. Someone lost a bracelet which I found and handed in to reception but it wasn’t there the next day. I also left a gift (I’d just bought) in the bar, but needless to say no-one saw it or found it.
The shisha tent is well worth a visit, round by the shops, mamoud doesn't speak much English but is very welcoming, and the more often you go the cheaper it gets!
The shops in the hotel complex are expensive and the supermarket is the cheapest of all of them, they will all try their luck, so don’t forget to barter.
It certainly wasn't the best holiday I’ve ever had and I wouldn't go there again, but some of the people made it much better than it could have been.
First of all I'd like to say...

First of all I'd like to say that I quite like the Three Corners Hotel and have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday there. The good outweighs the bad and I would recommend the hotel and say that it represents value for money and excellent service.
I am a seasoned traveller, have been to Egypt before but have to say that those who have given a 10/10 rating for this complex must have stopped somewhere else to me.
First, Taba is a lovely place. It is discreet, well maintained, extremely picturesque, and geared towards total relaxation. It is a resort that is growing in stature and expanding. All of the hotels in the resort are quality focussing toward the higher end of the market - the Three Corners Hotel is definitely at the lower end of the scale compared to the likes of The Marriot, Intercontinental, and The Hyatt.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and well thought out with a fantastic walk in shower - can’t be faulted - neither can the cleaner Ahmed whose ingenious creations with the bathroom towels always delighted my partner.
And that leads me on to the staff - they are simply delightful and friendly - typically Egyptian. Nothing is too much trouble, particularly in the dining room and at the poolside. Their sole purpose is to make sure you have a pleasant stay so you'll return. Egypt is like that. It's not like your typical med holiday where the main objection is to strip you of as much cash as possible.
This is why you should skip the welcome meeting with Thomson because as is always the case with them - they just want to sell you overinflated excursions which can be booked cheaper with Max in reception - although we just 'lounged' around for two weeks!
The thing that really lets this place down is the food and evening entertainment. I must confess that we are not the most adventurous of eaters but the choice of food is quite poor, and repetitive. The hotel is Belgian owned so there are a lot of them there as well as the French and these tend to eat just about anything. But most annoying is the fact that they feel they have to pile the plates up high with desserts beforehand to ensure that they don't miss out - this of course has a knock on effect for everyone else - so fussy eaters beware!! Try the Mexican and Tandoori Restaurant on the complex for a change.
The only all inclusive bar is the peanuts bar where there is only ever one person serving in this smelly and dark watering hole. Things begin to wind down here at about 11.30pm so there is no all nighters here.
The entertainment is abysmal and the animation team just a bunch of kids larking around - this is a big letdown. Everyone surrounds the miniature dance floor to watch them doing the okey cokey with the children. Ok, it's good that they look after the children but the whole thing just reminded me of a bad night at a wacky warehouse.
And if you're looking for bit of action in the town - forget it. We made enquiries only to find out that the downtown area was at the back of the hotel!!
A warning as well - don't be fooled by the picture of the pool on promotional pics - it is not that big. Take a walk down to the beach (15mins) or get the shuttle bus down to the beach club where there is also a pool which is a lot quieter than the hotel one - absolute bliss in blistering 38 degree heat.
All in all I would endorse the Three Corners as nice and friendly hotel - just the food, drink and entertainment let this place down and they are pretty important factors on an all-inclusive holiday. Definitely more child friendly than any of the other places in Taba.
I would recommend Taba though - definitely a Middle Eastern delight with its stunning views over neighbouring Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
We will return to Taba but I doubt we'll be checking into the Three Corners.

As a seasoned AI holidaymaker in Hotels on the Red Sea I believe that this hotel is not as good as the other 4 hotels I have visited. It is by far the cheapest, but this is also reflected here. Don’t get me wrong enjoyed my stay here and it is indeed good value for the money we paid.
The check in process was pretty quick, but could have been quicker if the staff didn't try to get everybody to upgrade their room. The room was very spacious, clean, and good sized bathroom with walk in shower. We paid extra at time of booking for partial sea view and that is what we got.
The pool area is pretty good and we had no problem finding sunbeds at any time of the day, although the better areas were full by 11.00 am. The one thing that surprised us was the end of the sun at 4.00pm as because the hotel is at the base of a mountain, the sun disappeared behind it at that time.
By the end of our 2 weeks this time became 3.40 pm. It was possible to squeeze another half hour out of the sun by going down to the beach in the afternoon as that was further away from the mountain.
The sea was amazing, calm clear and warm. It is best not to use three corners entrance to the sea, but walk about 500 yards along the beach to the Sofitel entrance, well tended to and cleared of stones making it a clear walk into the sea. Then walk out about 100 yds to the reef, where the fish of many colours and sizes will swim around you legs.
Back to the Hotel....the restaurant was adequate with the food being ok but not great. Slightly bland and repetitive, but you will not starve. No tummy troubles with anybody while we there. Wine and beer available with meals, but no spirits. Peanuts bar is the only bar where you can get a drink after 5.00pm (when the pool bar closes) and can get busy at times with normally only 1 barman serving.
The one thing that really peed me off was on the day of departure your AI finishes at 3.00pm.The bar staff seem to know that you are leaving and ask 'are you flying today’. If you answer yes, then they say you have to pay. I was asked and just said no, I was leaving tomorrow and I wasn't charged. As it happens we were leaving at 4.30, so I only went to the bar once after 3.00pm, but anybody leaving at say 11.00 pm could have a lot of trouble.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel over any others I have been to, but it is worth the money if you are on a low budget.

Just returned last week from Taba Heights, very hot but a lovely place to visit, we only did a week (just right) perhaps two weeks may be too long.
The Three Corners was pleasant enough, clean and tidy, food was good. Several things let this hotel down one was peanuts bar, most times one member of staff on duty, kids take priority over adults, and I didn’t pay that much to drink out of a plastic vending cup.
During the week the hotel ran out of drinking water after evening meal and did not get anymore until the following mid morning, but this happened twice on the trot, not good when you’re in the desert.
Another annoying thing is tipping for the sun loungers, if you tip the Pool attendant and the Towel man down the beach you can have sun loungers reserved at both locations.
Modern holidaymakers must be good at being in two places at once. The trip down to the beach is fun, brits queue and the French and Belgium’s just barge there way on the bus, you have to get forceful to stake your claim. That saying it is a pleasant walk down but don’t walk back up it gets a bit too hot.
If you go with the Thomson Group expect to lose the first morning of your holiday watching what trips they can provide. Take a bit of advice check what max can do for you first, you will find him in the Hotel reception.
We had four adults, we chose to go on a day trip which included Quad Biking in the desert for 1 and a half hours, a bit of shopping in Dahab, a 15 minute jeep transfer, dinner in a Bedouin restaurant, then snorkelling in the blue hole (unforgettable), followed by a 30 minute camel ride back to the minibus.
Throughout the day we where looked after beyond what you would ever expect, by the driver and security guard. One thing on the blue hole you have to do it, but please if you are not that strong a swimmer hire the life vests, it will make it more enjoyable not having to worry about staying afloat. This whole day cost £40 English pounds each, bargain!
One thing I will do if I visit again, I will take more Euros than Egyptian pounds as most things are priced in Euros or pounds.
If you fly out with Astreus beware for a boring 5 and a half hours if you get the plane with no entertainment system on it.
Beware the floor around the pool is very slippy, if you go down to the beach be aware that all inclusive does not apply to everything, but if you want to buy lunch the Burger and chips are very nice and filling.
Snorkelling off the beach is very good the best place is walk down the beach to the Hyatt and go off their last jetty (the small one) and turn left it is shallow enough to stand up and the amount of fish in the coral is amazing.
If when you are there, you come down with stomach cramps go to the pharmacy behind the hotel and he will give you some tablets that sort you out pretty quickly for about £5.
When you buy anything check how much Mario’s Market can do it for he was generally the cheapest, and stay out of the carpet shop unless you really want a Egyptian rug, it can get a bit scary when you want to leave without buying anything.
Cheers!

We recently returned from a week at Three Corners Resort in Taba.
We were welcomed by the Guest Relation manager and her team in the early hours of the morning after being delayed by 4 hours at Gatwick. Thankfully they had laid on some soup, cheese, and cold meats for us.
We were given registration forms and wristbands on the coach travelling to the resort which made check in quick and easy. Our room was very clean and spacious.
We are early risers and it was a good thing we did as there was not a bed to be had by 8.30. Sharif (the pool lad) was busy putting towels around the pool at 7am for people who had asked him to save them a bed; some would lay empty until late morning.
Afternoons we found to be the best time to go to the beach as the water was much calmer and the wind had dropped. I had never snorkelled before but it is by far one of the best things I have ever done, the marine life is fantastic and you can see things so clearly.
Take an underwater camera. I stayed by the reef just off the beach the others in my group went off the piers, they said it is one of the best things ever.
Take beach shoes or buy them at Mario's markets (about £3.50) as the beach has a lot of peddles along the shore line and the sand is very hot.
The transport from the Hotel to the beach was every half hour (ish) but no one ever know when so you could have a long wait outside the hotel for the bus (no shade).
The food was very repetitive, one of our group is a veggie and lived on salads and bread rolls, my husband is diabetic so the desserts were out as they are all covered in sugar and coconut, would have liked to see more fresh fruit (we had watermelon once and apple another night).
We ate at Chez Pascal one evening and I can promise you if you like steak you will not be disappointed but if you like it well done tell them you want it very well done. One of our group had the sea bass and she said it was the best she had ever had. This is not in the All inclusive but was cheap and they give you discount as a guest in the hotel.
We went on a couple of trips that were organised by Waterworld, but people we met in the hotel used Max in reception and they all said how much they enjoyed the trips and how much cheaper they were.
The entertainment was shall we say a work in progress, every day there was Aqua Gym and water polo, but they were not well supported by the guests.
The Hotel as a whole is very good the staff are very friendly and will help you willingly; the grounds and hotel are spotless.
We would go back to Taba, for the Sun, Sea and Sanity that somewhere so peaceful and beautiful gives you but next time we will try one of the other hotels on the beach that do the all inclusive system.

Have stayed at this hotel for the last 3 years, the place is great and the staff always very friendly and the place is spotless.
This year they had a new Animation Team, they are allot better than previous years and there was entertainment most evening.
The peanuts bar is too small and can become very stuffy, also at the pool bar they use throw away cups for all the drinks, if they changed this then I would give the hotel a score of 10.
Try and do excursions as the sights are fantastic, snorkelling at the beach is great spent allot of time doing this.
