My son and I travelled with a friend at last minute as she had two spare places..
I was very excited as I had never been all inclusive nor been to Greece before.
On arrival my breath was taken away by the stunning views and buildings which were villas rather than high rised ugly buildings. The plants and greenery were well looked after and added beautifully to the resort. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food was very good, although my son being a bit fusy mainly ate chips and pasta only as there was not alot he like but that is mainly down to him not wanting to try new food.
The swimming pool was always clean and in the event of an accident there was someone close at hand to clean it.
The staff were pleasant although not as welcoming as I thought they would be to english tourists. The kids entertainment day and night from the First choice reps was excellent although there was nothing from the age of eight upwards.
The hotels entertainment team could of made more effort to try to get the teenagers and older children involved in activities but didn't seem to bother. It also seemed to lack evening entertainment, although the kids loved the Mini disco every night and even the teenagers got up and joined in which was very funny. There was bingo a few night but the hotel could of done with something else in the evening to get everyone up and dancing.
The bar staff were very hard working and helpful.
We had an amazing crowd of people that we made friends with which really made the holiday special.
I would of booked for 2009 for me and my two children but was sad to see it is no longer with First Choice.

We have just come back from our holiday at Chrousso village.
transfer was a good 1hr and a half with no rep and a driver who speaks on the phone whilst driving. we were asked to put on seat belts but half did not work. Got to the holiday village and the setting was out of this world. Set in woodland with two pools and great gardens and lowrise apartments. Rooms we good and airy although our air conditioning had to be fixed. Showers are a bit of a nightmare as they soak the whole bathroom fall. Not much entertainment but we new that and we did not miss it although others we complaining about it. Swimming pools were ok but the edges and flooring is covered in pebble dash so takes time getting used to it. There were always plenty of sunbeds and parasols ( thank god as some days the temps were 40 degrees). The food was the downfall for us and many others ice creams were not available all day only at meal times and meals were pretty poor. There was a limited range of free drinks and snacks. There is a lovely beach ten minutes walk away through woodland. Apart from the beach there is nowhere else to walk to so not much to do. ALthough they do provide a free bus service into local towns but this has to be booked. Reps not great. On the transfer home there were problems as the coach was over full !!!!wont be going back

Just returned from 2 weeks holiday at Chrousso village hotel. Two adults and two children aged 10 and 6 years, travelling with First Choice. We flew from Manchester, but the flight was delayed for an hour and when we arrived at the local airport our bags weren't unloaded for 1 and half hours.
The hotel is set in gardens with palm and fruit trees around the pool and grounds, which gives a feeling of space. The accommodation is in a villa style, and not a high rise concrete eyesore. Our apartment was on the ground floor, which was approx. 50m from the pool/restaurent areas. The room had aircon, which was very cold; 1x bedroom with 2x single beds pushed together. A large sofa bed for the kids to share in a lounge with a kitchenette that contained a fridge, toaster, kettle and breakfast bar. The room was clean and all the furniture appeared new. The were two patio doors in both rooms, that over looked the gardens with shutters that kept the light, which was great for lay ins.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful even when my daughter broke a plate on the floor. There was plenty of choice of food at all the sittings even with one of us being veggie, it was home cooked but not Gordon Ramsey.
Pool bar was well stocked and never had to wait for more than a minute to be served. Only negative was that ice cream for all inclusive was only available from the restaurant when open all other times you had to pay at the bar.
There were wasps around but no one got stung.
The pool has a rough floor and you had to be careful not the graze your skin on it. There is no day time entertainment, which was bliss, although there was a mini disco at night much loved by our daughter.
On our return there was yet another delay, with the coach being late and an hour delay at the airport before take off.
Our actual holiday was very relaxing and nice, but the journey there and back with First Choice was stressful and lengthy, which detracted from the perfect holiday.
I would go back to Chrousso village.

We have just got back from this hotel I dont think we will be going back it is full of children the rooms were not cleaned properly very dusty and to top it all we had a leak for two days running from apartment up above us which was sorted out quickly.
I was rather cross it was my husbands birthday on the saturday i asked for a nice tabel with candels and flowers which we did not get also it was a BBQ for the greeks and of course the got all the attention possible because it was a night for them.so we had no table for my husband his birthday was spoilt.
We had to que up for the BBQ and there was not much to eat no where to sit and to top it all it was cold if we had known this was going to happen we would of got a taxi out to another eating place so be where BBQ every saturday night our rep ZOE was always in reception and her attitude was well if i knew it was a BBQ i would of informed all the first choice customers so they could make other arrangment i always thoought the reps were informed as to what was happening.
We could not go to the meeting as it was up stairs and i could not do the steps zoe did not even come and find us to see if we were ok we never saw her out in the grounds so hence we will not be going back to this place again

we went to Chorousso village July 2007 and it was excellent. we had 2 children aged 11 and 15 the 15year old as usual hard to please but for once he seemed happy. There was childrem of all ages didnt see much of the 11 yr old except at meal times times when the friends he'd made took over a table. it rained on the 2nd sunday but the staff and management were exellent organised games and quizes. The 2nd quiter pool is exellent where we sat a few nights with the gardener and his daughter who was was lovely.
we are back there july 08

Just returned from our honeymoon at Chrousso Village and I am happy to say we would definitely go again. Depending on if the transfer makes any stops on route, it doesn't take a good hour and a half to get there, nearer 2 hours with stops but the views on route are good.
Reception are helpful and friendly and seem to be very efficient. As we were on honeymoon, we had been upgraded to a 1 bed apt, however, the only downside to this is there was no air conditioning in the room but we were supplied a fan. I would strongly advise anyone travelling there to take insect repellents, we were plagued with mossie's through the night so the first 2 days for me were uncomfortable. This is the only thing I was disappointed with, that no one had warned us about. The on site shop do sell spiral repellents, although the instructions are all in Greek it was pretty easy to follow instructions. They burn virtually all night and worked a treat. I would also advise, particularly for those who are prone to be bitten to get some repellent spray for your body.
The beach is literally 10-12 minutes walk and can be accessed either by road or by a path through woodland area. Beautiful beach and nice to have free sunbeds and not get harassed by anyone. I am not a strong swimmer and only learnt last year to snorkel. The waters here are ideal, however my husband and I were disappointed with the lack of sea life when snorkelling.
The free bus service to Hanioti and Pefkohori (sorry if spelt wrong) are well worth while, but you do need to book in advance as on 15 seats on bus. We asked advice of receptionist who said she preferred Pefkohori for shopping, however I would disagree! We went there on our first full day, but then visited Hanioti twice after as I felt it was much better and I personally preferred shopping in the evening as the atmosphere is much better. Although it didn't save us a huge amount on everything, it is worth offering a price in most of the shops if you don't mind bartering. I got a beautiful 14 carat white and yellow gold bracelet for £100 instead of £130.
Apartments are clean and very comfortable. Food was also enjoyable and I felt there was a good choice at meal times. Their ice cream is particularly nice, as was the crispy lamb and the pizza!!!! I would recommend anyone to go here, particularly if you are looking for something a little more out the way, but close enough to venture if you wish to.

I would advise you to never step foot in this hotel! The rooms were dusty and dirty
No air conditioning and only 1 fan.
Restaurant food terrible, wasp nests everywhere!
Same entertainment every night! Swimming pool was tiny and dirty.
We were in the forest fires and they handled it terribly and we got evacuated in a little fishing boot and for all the posh Greeks they got a big ship! So for health and safety reasons appalling!!!
I wouldn’t never go to this place again I came back even more stressed!
The actual place of Halkidiki is beautiful!! But it was a nightmare holiday !!!!!!

We just came home from Chrousso and thought you would like to know how great it was.
From the start of our holiday to the end, we were treated really well by all the staff, from the reception to cleaners to bar staff and restaurant waiters/waitresses.
It was what I would call a really relaxing holiday where, if you wanted to find something to do, you could. There was water polo, beach volleyball and the kids' club, or you could lay by the pool all day and soak up the sun.
There were ten of us on the holiday - seven adults and three children, one of whom is disabled. The kids' club reps, Chrissy and Louise, were really well trained and did a fantastic job keeping the kids entertained.
We have booked to go back next year and have told everyone how great it was.

Just returned from Greece two days ago. I would like to respond to the reviews complaining about the local fauna i.e. wasps, flies etc. bear in mind these reviews date from last year when there was a forest fire which drove all and sundry before it. You can see where the fire was stopped just on the northern edge of Hanioti.
The area around the village is pretty heavily wooded but does not encroach upon it. On arrival we found the staff very helpful and were dually escorted to our rooms (there being a party of 10 of us). Our room was larger than the other members of our party it being on the top floor and on the end of the block, but I had no complaints, the air con worked really well.
In the kitchen area there was a cooker which we didn't need as we were all inclusive. Although the kettle saw some good use last thing at night, first thing in the morning. The maids came in every day and did their thing pretty thoroughly, they were always friendly and spoke to us politely, they made friends of the kids especially the younger ones as Greeks like to do.
The village itself was clean and tidy with all the usual vines, peaches, figs, oranges and the obligatory olives growing all around among bamboos and giant ferns. There were two pools with plenty of loungers and chairs and a bar to accompany each one. The barmen were as you would expect in both of these places seen it all before and probably heard it all as well like barmen anywhere. But if you threw in the odd Parakello or Afarissto they became more attentive.
Onto the biggest item that people complain about food, yes it's Greek what do you expect if you want English stay in England or go find a restaurant thats English there's one in Hanioti that boasts all it's fare is imported from England even down to the brown sauce. We found there was plenty of selection be it English or Greek at all the meals and it was better than I've had in other places but that's me shooting off at a tangent again, restaurant staff were great the manager didn't miss anything be it from staff or guests.
The entertainment staff that's the Animators and the Kids club did a really good job a big thank's to Juan, Vacek, Chris, Lucia, Nicky and Louise they are the people that are always on the front line so to speak and if something goes wrong and people complain they are normally in the firing line but they are the people that can make or break a holiday and for us they pulled out all the stops and made our holiday something to remember especially the younger ones. Already in the process of booking for next year. See you all then.

Booked quite late for myself, husband and 2 kids, 4 years and 18 months for 2 weeks. First impressions of the place were superb!
Our apartment was clean and spacious, and were one of the lucky ones to get air con.
The kids club has to be the best we have ever experienced, and Krazy Kris and Loopy Luce were a credit to First Choice and themselves, all the kids adored them and they weren’t just young girls bumming around for a season, they were both qualified to work with kids as nursery teachers, and it showed. They were also so welcoming to the kids, even outside of kids club.
The Manager Nic, was professional and great fun and certainly didn’t push any tours down your neck, just gave you good advice ! Unfortunately for us, my father fell critically ill after 4 days and we had to fly home, but Kids Club Rep Loopy Luce, got all 4 of us in a taxi within 90 minutes, on a flight 3 hrs later and back in the Uk same day, without a moments fuss.
Nic was not on site at the time, but Loopy Luce took total control. She arranged the flight, sitting together, she even rang my insurance on her personal mobile phone to check I was covered.
On the whole, I would say that Chrousso Village is a fantastic holiday for families with kids 10 years and younger whereby your holiday success is their happiness.
The entertainment that is put on is great, but it must be every night for the adults, not just for the kids, but the mini disco and the hotels own animation staff are excellent.
Food was of a very good standard, and the no hassle for once with all inclusive at the bar and the drinks were of a very good standard.
Would def go back, but only if it was run by First Choice, as the 3 First Choice Staff at Chrousso were really first class, and we have always had great quality of service from First Choice and would choose only them in the future !
Thanks to all the support from the lovely holiday makers whilst we were there, especially Vanessa and Lindsay! Ignore what others have written, the bottom of the pool is a bit rough, a bath would have been a bonus and more entertainment welcome !
Def. do the boat trip esp. if the First Choice reps are going, as Claire who takes charge is a pure delight for all and makes sure you enjoy your day, well worth the money.

ARRIVED AT THE HOTEL MID AFTERNOON WHERE THE RECEPTION STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND VERY QUICK AT HECKING US IN. tHEY SHOWED US TO OUR APARTMENT WHICH WAS ABOVE THE RSTAURANT.
tHE APARTMENT WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND CLEAN. hAD FRESH SHEETS AND TOWELS EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS. THE BALCONY WAS HUGE WITH TABLE CHAIRS AND SUN LOUNGERS AND PARASOL.
fOOD WAS GREAT AND THERE WAS ALWAYS LOTS OF CHOICE. THE BARBEQUE EVENINGS WERE GREAT AND IT WAS NICE TO EAT OUTSIDE. RESTAURENT WAS NEVER TOO BUSY AND YOU COULD ALWAYS FIND A TABLE.
IT WAS A VERY RELAXING HOLIDAY WITH BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS. PEOPLE COMPLAINED ON THIS SITE ABOUT THE WASPS BUT TO BE HONEST THEY WEREN'T A PROBLEM AS LONG AS YOU DIDNT LEAVE DRINKS STANDING AROUND.
tHERE WAS NEVER A PROBLEM FINDING A SUN BED AND YOU DIDNT HAVE TO PUT YOUR TOWELS OUT IF YOU DIDNT WANT TO AS THERE WAS ALWAYS PLENTY OF ROOM.
IT WAS A TEN MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH WHICH WAS BEAUTIFUL. IF YOU BOUGHT A DRINK FROM THE REFRESHMENTS VAN YOU DIDNT HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SUN BEDS.
ALL OF THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY, PARTICULARLY THE BAR STAFF WHO WERE VERY QUICK AT SERVING DRINKS.
hOPE TO RETURN SOON.
