apts basic but clean, balcony very small.overall pool area and childrens play area and grounds very nice. entertainment caters more for irish than any one else.groups of noisy irish lads returning from bars at 6am kept us awake. staff very nice and helpful, asked for extra pillows and got them straight away. bars on the strip very noisy, but santa ponsa itself is lovely and the beach excellent. if you want a cheap holiday then this is ideal.

Just come back from the Holiday Park Apartments, and overall it was an extremely good holiday. However, the rude staff made the holiday less pleasurable. To be fair it was mainly the manager, Aram, who made our holiday feel like we were on a school trip. He was extremely rude in his manners, and his customer service is lacking in most areas. You have to pay for toaster rental, kettle rental and air con. As a self catering hotel, i consider this to be ridiculous, but i suppose you get what you pay for.
Overall the hotel is excellent with entertainment and deals- apart from the fact that you can't consume your own food or drink around the pool and the prices are ridiculous. The amount of stairs is also a bit of a joke, but never the less it's worth it for the cheapness of the hotel!!!
The resort is amazing, and young people will really enjoy the nightlife. Just beware of the rudeness of Aram, and his female companion with the bob... extremely rude people.
However i would really recommend this hotel, for the price you pay it is expected that there are a few minor annoyances.

Its true, you do get what you pay for! Me and two female friends could only afford a cheap deal so werent expecting 5 star luxury! The first thing you will notice is the MANY stairs! We arrived very early in the morning and were faced with about 7 steep flights of stairs to get to our apartment!
We were disapointed with the 'self catering' facilities to say the least. The two hobs dont heat up enough to boil anything and you have to pay for a kettle or toaster if you want one. It was pretty impossible to cook our own meals so ended up eating out most of the time or buying stuff for salads.
The apartments were simple but very clean and we had a lovely view from balcony. The main problem with this resort is the noise. The walls are paper thin so you hear ALL nosie from all over the place! The poolside bar is very noisy at night too. The staff were not at lal strict with noise levels and we were woken up through the night continuously by noisy drunk people!
The pool was nice but getting sun loungers beside it was near impossible! People would get up early and put their towells on the loungers to keep them for themselves, even if they weren't planning on using them for a few hours!
On a more positive note, we found the reception staff to be really really friendly and helpful. And if you run out of towels/loo roll/need more blankets etc, just ask and they are extremely willing to give you more. Apartements are really cool and airy so we didnt need to pay for air conditioning and the location of the apartments is excellent.
If you want a lively nightlife its better to pay 10 euros for a taxi to magaluf rather than stay in santa ponsa for the night as it is mostly families and couples there. Was disapointed with the range of restaurants in santa ponsa, they only really did junk food and english food. We really wanted some proper spanish food but had to go much further afield for that! The bus services are really good though and you can use them to travel to nearby towns like Calvia and Andrex and see some of Spains older and less touristy towns!
Overall we had a nice time, it is really just average accomodation in a typical tourist resort! Think i may go somewhere with a little more spanish culture next time though! :)

was a bit worried when i read the reviews on the holiday centre before i went on holiday, was surprised when i got there, the apts were spacious, clean and in the centre of everything, the only down side to these apts is the steps too the rooms, you have to hogg your bags up and down them without any help from the staff, who are so so so cheeky, and also beware wen leaving your passport at reception because they lost mine!! but other than that you will enjoy your stay at the holiday centre apts.

I went here for the last week in may with one other female friend. Both of us are in our 20`s. On arrival we were given a top floor apartment. it was quite difficult to carry our suitcases up ourselves witout a lift but we managed it.
Room was quite large and very clean. Room was cleaned every second day but bed linen was not changed at all.
Pool area was lovely and bar was quite nice also. food was more expensive in the complex than the surrounding area but was still quite cheap. food was nice enough and quite a bit of choice. Bar men were very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was on every evening ranging froma hypnotist to a parrot show. The entertainment ended at 12 and complex became quite quiet then.
Plenty of restaurants and shops in the immediate area all of which were very reasonably priced. Quite lively considering it was still early season. Would recommend the dubliner to eat in. greenhills has quite a good atmosphere too and disco inferno is also good too. aha is great fun but is quite small so need to go in early enought. it gets very warm in there too so be warned.
Overall had a great time and would definately go back. Apartments would not be suited to those wit walking difficulties but otherwise could not fault them or the surrounding area. ideal place for those on a budget

just back from a week in holiday centre never again.we went with our child as it had said it was recommended for a family once it was not peak season, have to say a family should never stay here. pool bar was louder at night then the pubs in santa ponsa, there was trouble nearly every night with guests staying here and not all these were young people some were families.because there are steps to apartment no lifts all steps lead off from pool you hear everyone coming home no matter what time it is banging doors shouting and roaring and i have to say have travelled a lot to different holiday spots and these apartments are worst.will say santa ponsa itself was ok no nice resturants at all it caters more for young and lively but was kept clean and people were friendly. apartments were never cleaned all week and have to agree with the other person who left a comment it was like a third world accomodation it seems the apartments on this side of the resort are a lot more run down then ones on other side of beach. if i won 2 weeks here all paid for with spending money you could keep it and i really mean that .

I am just back from Santa ponsa. It was a living nightmare. Santa ponsa is a class spot but the holiday centre is like giving a week in a third world country. They have no manners. They are just there to take your money. Pay for air con pay for kettle pay for lockers pay for everything. you would want to have a morage taken to stay here for a week. NEVER AGAIN. D.H

I have stayed in these apartments the past 2 years and I love going here. I think the rooms are spotless and the maids were always in the room cleaning it. The staff are very friendly. So one thing I do NOT agree with all these lies about these apartments.
They are the best apartments in Santa Ponsa. There is a lovely restaurant down from the apartments called the Dubliner it is lovely in there. The best bars to visit are The Shamrock, The Dubliner and Durty Nellies they have brilliant live bands playing. I am going over to Santa ponsa to work for 6 months so I am looking forward to it.

Stayed here last week! Absolute Kip!
No toilet rolls or towel changes until we asked at reception. No sheet changes either.Stayed on the fourth floor and had to lug our heavy suitcases up all four floors without an ounce of help from any of the male staff members that were wandering around!
Handy location, but not worth it as the place was cruel!!!
Plus extremely noisy at all hours of the morning and we had very late nights almost every night and it was still mad. brutal!

First of all don’t get these apartments mixed up with the holiday centre apts, they are over the road, these apts are in an ideal location just at the end of the strip so not far to walk but you don’t get the noise and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. They are the most basic apts I have ever stopped in you have to hire everything from a kettle, toaster, iron, microwave and air conditioning etc and they call it self catering!
They look ok on first appearance but are not that big for a family of four. There are a lot of steps and lift only goes to first floor. Pool is not big enough when apts are full and there are many rules you have to obey. Such as - no eating your own food round pool or your own drinks not even water was allowed, no ice creams unless purchased from bar and of course they were double the price of the supermarket over the road. Some poor soles got broken into and the management gave no help at all, also security boxes are in reception under cctv supposedly but even these got broken into. Only good thing bout this place is towels were changed every 3rd day and sheets every 5th day. Weather was brill and Santa Ponsa is beautiful, sorry but I would not recommend these apts.

We have just returned from this place and I have to say I would never stay there again! Nor would I recommend to any of my friends and family.
When you arrive you are greeted with a pink sheet of rules and told you can Hire a kettle, toaster, safe (in reception), microwave, hairdryer and remote to use air conditioning (in the bedroom only).
The rules are only followed to suit themselves, no reserving sun loungers, it happens all the time nothing said. No eating or drinking your own food at the pool even water or ice cream, they are quick to tell you off for that because they want you to pay there rip off prices.
The ice creams at the bar are 3 euro at the supermarket over the road they are 1 euro! Water at the bar 1.40 a small bottle for one, over the road less than 1 euro for a family bottle.
No noise after midnight, they turn the music down at the bar but stay open so the drunks get louder and keep drinking. Young groups of lads come in at all hours shouting vomiting peeing in poolside shower! No security or night watchman to stop them, just a guy that stays on reception all night.
There is only on lift up to the pool area which all the apartments overlook almost all the apartments have lots of stairs to climb to get to them with no help for luggage or pushchairs. We were 3 floors and 48 stairs up.
The apartments are very very basic you could not prepare a meal there with only 2 electric rings and 2 huge pans. No small pan to boil an egg. No tin opener. Also there was only one plug to use for the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and the bath. The towels get changed and the bins get emptied but that’s it for the week no sheet change or bed made etc.
While we were there, there was an Irish wedding party in who had the run of the place before and after the wedding. They got drunk and rude swearing loudly and throwing a member of there party in the pool with a beer in his hand were it was left as he got out. None of the staff told them off about that or any other loud drunken noise they made.
When these people left they were replaced with groups of young Irish yobs who partied in the apartments all night long and dive bombed the pool by day nothing said. When I complained I was told they would have a word when they were sober!
The Spanish staff were friendly and helpful the British staff were ignorant and rude.
Do not fall for the all you can eat BBQ at 10 euro each. It lasts less than an hour when you return for seconds there is none.
Avoid this place if you have kids or want a good night’s sleep even if there was no noise from drunks or the bar you are woken buy people banging their cases up and down the stairs as they arrive or leave! All the stairs are open-plan so the noise echoes around the pool area.

I went to the Holiday Park Apartments in July this year with my boyfriend. The hotel complex has a LOT of stairs and only a lift to pool level.
I had read reviews about the noise etc but as we were at the back of the complex, we found it relatively quiet, that said people are on holiday so you could hear them coming home etc.
There were always loungers available, if you were there for about 10.30am and you had the choice of lying by the pool or on the sun terrace which was slightly quieter. The pool did tend to have an abundance of inflatable toys but you could still get in to cool off.
The shop across the road had all the basics you would need; the pool was clean, sun area always clean. We had a great holiday, really enjoyed the place, the beach is beautiful and it's only a short walk along the beach to the neighbouring resort which isn't as 'lively'.
I wouldn't return to Santa Ponsa as I prefer to try new places but I would recommend the Holiday Park Apartments to anyone who is going to Santa Ponsa.
