We've just come back from 2weeks in Sidari, Corfu. Our stay at the Corfu Palmar apartments was fantastic. Costas, Spyros, Evi, Susannah and Maria are the best hosts ever, they could not do enough for us. The apartments are spotlessly clean and are cleaned everyday by again a really friendly and helpful lady. Our 14year old son had a wonderful time and was well at ease with our Greek hosts & their children, not forgetting the dogs Hector and Aldo. Maria cooks the best Stifado amongst lots of other things, all the food is freshly prepared when you order it. A BIG thank you to Maria though she made us put on far too much weight.
Sidari has something for everyone, lots of bars, restaurants and lovely Greek Taverna's. The beach at Sidari isn't the best, but there is a beach just up the road from the apartments, that was lovely. You can swim to 3 rocks just off the beach and some people dive from the middle one into the sea.
Hopefully we will return next year to see Costas, Spyros and their family and some English friends that we made whilst we were there. A great holiday.

As per rest of the reviews this hotel is great. There is not 1 fault with the place its extremly clean and has everthing you need. The owners are great dispite the hard times they were having during our stay they were always very friendly and would do anything for you.
The rooms, we have a 1 bedroom apartment for 2 of us, it wasnt cheap as didnt fill room but the rooms were lovely and clean, air con, great shower and other facilities. However beware that the beds are very very very hard, we struggled to sleep on them for 10 days!
The pool and bar was great, i recommend the milkshakes and cocktails. The food was good all homed cooked by the owners mother as you wait.
The town itself, Canal D'amour was nice, a small stretch of resturaunts and bars.
Sidari - more livily with many bars and resuturaunts. I would not recommend the Sunset resturaunt in the SOS bar, or ocean view. I didnt even get my meal in sunset and Ocean view were serving barley hot fish which upset the stomach!
By far the best resturaunt in sidari was the Indian, its up by the legends appartments on the way into sidari and is a half hour walk. But its soo worth it, ate there 2 nights in a row. Indian chef, you wouldnt know you wernt in a UK resturaunt! Both mexicans were nice.
I recommend this hotel, i wasnt overly impressed with sidari, very smelly constant smell of sueage when sitting in restuarunts.
Say hello to VIOLIN MAN when you see him!!

I always check sites like this before booking a holiday, but have never added a comment before. I felt I had to write one about Palmar as it is the best holiday we have ever had! We had a studio for 2 and it was lovely - very large, clean and modern. Maid service was every day and we recieved clean linen & towels numerous times throughout our stay. There are no worries about being woken up early by the maid either - she waits until you leave your apartment in the morning before cleaning the room! Costas & Spiros are such a laugh behind the bar - we spent many nights drinking into the early hours chatting with them. The greek night was really good too - a bbq plus greek dancing complete with fire and of course everyone has to get up and join in! I normally run a mile at those sort of things but this one was really fun! All the cooking at Palmar is done by Maria (Costas&Spiros Mum) - food is fantastic, lots of lovely Greek dishes plus great sandwiches & salads etc during the day.
Have been to Sidari twice before and this is by far the best place we have stayed. The Canal D'amour area is more laid back than the centre of Sidari but there are still plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from within 5min walk either way from Palmar. Still close enough to the centre if you want all the nightlife, but beware - when you walk down the main road in Sidari during the evening you will constantly be bothered by touts/reps trying to get you into their bar/restaurant. For this reason we decided to go out in the Canal D'Amour area in the evenings and there is still plenty of choice.
Beach is lovely, however the sea seems to get shallower every year! Not the ideal place if you want to go swimming, but brilliant for kids!
If you have booked to go to Palmar this year you are in for a fantastic holiday.....we will definately be booking again for next year!

We had a week stay at these apartments and was lovely - The staff were very friendly and done anything to make you feel welcome. All the staff are family and they all work very hard everyday. The bar stays open till the last person stops drinking and the guys are back there for 9.30 in the morning.
I would recommend trying the home made Spag Bol - Delicious!!!. I found i had to eat breakfast, Lunch and Dinner even though i was not too hungry.
Its not like any other place ive stayed as everyone here is British and there was no fight for a sun bed as only 14 rooms there was enough to go around, you could get up at 10.30 and still have a sun bed.
The only thing that let this holiday down was the coach trip, its over an hour long and on very winedy roads.
All in all i had a wonderful hotel and would recommended it for all ages.

Just returned yesterday from a wonderful stay at the Palmar Apartments - must admit it has been many years since we have had an apartment holiday as our normal choice would have been a Hotel. We were certainly not disappointed - the service was great and our apartment could not have been any better - 2 of us in an apartment big enough for 4 was wonderful - and the daily maid service was an added bonus. Would return to the Palmar without doubt as all staff are family members and would go out of their way to help you. Bit disappointed with the beach but we did find a small cove only about 5 mins from apartments which in our view was better than the main beach. If you suffer from "Mossie bites" BEWARE take precautions!

I used this web site to get some information on the Palmar, prior to going on holiday. All the comments were positive, and I am now pleased to say, totally accurate. This is the most friendly apartments we have ever stayed in, and are high quality - especially for Greece. Apartments included toaster and microwave in addition to the normal. Having said that, we never used them as the restaurants in Canal D'Mour were terrific. I would especially recommend 2 places we used. One is a Greek Taverna "Kontikas" about 5 mins from the hotel heading towards Sidari. It is run by a Scots girls and her Greek husband and gives excellent meals. The other is the Orchard (turn right out of the hotel for 5 mins) English wife and Greek Husband run this and have there own orchard to the rear. All in all, this was one of the best holidays we have had, made all the better by the friendliness of the Palmar. Already planning a return. If you go - you will enjoy it.

We alawys have a read on holiday watchdog before booking any holiday and the reviews of this hotel that you will read are 100% accurate. Great apartments, great food, perfect location just outside of town, close enough to walk easily, far enough out to be out of the main action.
Kostas and Spiros and their families could not have been more welcoming and really contributed to an amazing holiday.
Definately the best place in Sidari, if you are looking at going and not yet 100% then do it, you wont be disappointed.

Just returned from a week say at the Palmar and wow what a place. We've been to many Greek islands and can honestly say that the Palmar is the best apartment complex we have stayed in.
We had a studio which was massive and the facilities provided were excellent. The kitchen area and bathroom were modern and well equiped. We had maid service every day and the room was kept spotless with clean towels every other day.
But even better than the apartments were the family that owned it and how friendly they were. The two brothers Costas and Spiros were in charge of the bar and made everyone feel welcome. we spent many an evening chatting up at the bar and were joined by many of there friends and family. The mother Maria did the cooking and she knew how to cook, one evening she made us a traditional "Kleftico" whch was amazing.
The resort was slightly dissapointing and especially the beach which looks fantastic in the pictures but was in need of a good clean up, but dont let this put you off because if you're staying at the Palmar none of that matters. We will be returning to sidari but only to stay in the Palmar.

Sidari is a beautiful part of Corfu and I will be definitely returning next year. My mother and I booked the flight to Sidari on an "accommodation on arrival" basis and were more than delighted with what we ended up with. Corfu Palmar is a family run place with very clean and spacious apartments and only a 5 minute walk from a near beach and shops.
The pool, bar and lounge area of the hotel were up to date and relaxed, giving the perfect holiday feeling. The family dogs Hector and Mitsy provided their own entertainment with stealing my flip flops and eating all of our cheese from our fridge on a night.
Surrounded by bars and restaurants, Palmar apartments are in a perfect position of Sidari. The owners of the apartments are friendly and provide excellent service and have made it that welcoming that I will be returning next year for definite.
On our last night of our holiday a Greek night was held in the dining area which we watched and joined in to traditional Greek dancing and ate traditional Greek food.
All around 10 out of 10 for this holiday and I cannot wait to return!

This a small complex of apartments about 10mins walk from Sidari strip. The apartments are very clean and comfortable, and the staff are very helpful. The apartments are family-owned and two brothers (Costas and Spiros) and their wives, plus mother (Maria) do their utmost to make sure you enjoy your holiday. Even the family pets make friends with the guests. They have 2 cute little dogs (Mitzy and Hector) who befriend the guests and provide entertainment of their own.
There is a varied menu available and the food is good.
If you want to eat and drink elsewhere there are plenty of bars and tavernas closeby. The closest beach is approx 5 minutes walk. If you feel like a longer walk (turn right outside the apartments) you can walk to Sunset Beach which takes approx 35 minutes and is a beautiful view, especially at sunset.
The area close to the apartments is much quieter than Sidari strip and all the other apartments welcome guests from other apartments to use their bars, pools, etc. There is a small internet cafe 5 minutes down the road, where Gary and Andrea also sell hand-made greetings cards, etc. The restaurant 3 little pigs is also worth a visit and their greek fire-dancing is very entertaining.
I would definitely recommend Palmar apartments if you are looking to be in a quieter part of Sidari which is within easy walking distance of the busy strip.

This was the best holiday I have ever been on. I’m 18 and went with my boyfriend and 2 other couples. We were looking for a holiday that was relaxing in the day and lively at night. Palmar Corfu apartments were great for this. Just out of Sidari, about a 10 minute walk, it was nice and peaceful during the day and there were always sunbeds available to sunbathe, even for 6 of us. Night life is great for young people in Sidari (a bit wild!)and canal d'armour has some more classy quieter bars too.
Spiros etc were great (he’s has the cutest little son!). The whole family seem to do their little bits to keep it running and all of them were so helpful and went out of their way to help us!
The BBQ Greek night was great and they managed to get us all dancing and joining in. They provided films on a big projector when we were having a bit of a quieter night, what was even better was that the films were not out in England yet! The snacks and main menu were good value (not the cheapest in Sidari) but it was really good quality homemade food. They were willing to cook you up anything at any time of the day!
The rooms were amazing, for how little we paid. Cleaned everyday and modern, with nice balconies/terrace.
I really would recommend these apartments if you want to stay in Sidari. They were by far the best, as we were able to compare them with a few other apartments that friends we met there were staying in. I can't emphasise how great they were.
Happy Holidays! Stay at Palmar!

This accommodation is a great place to stay. We went on a family holiday and our group contained members of all ages, 1 through to 64. We all loved it. The food was great (you must book up for the Greek night what a great BBQ, they BBQ’d a ‘whole’ Lamb and the entertainment was some of the best we had seen on the holiday). The hospitality of the family who runs the apartments was unbeatable. Admittedly the centre of Sidari is probably not the best town in Corfu but the accommodation which is around a 10 min walk out, well made up for it.
Now for some advice - If you are travelling with a little one who needs a cot my advice is take one with you. Otherwise you will have to rent one at the very steep cost of 30euros a week. Thomas Cook had informed us one would be supplied free of charge but it wasn’t. I must add though this had nothing to do with the owners of the Palmar, they do not hire out cots Thomas Cook hires them for you from a company in the town.
PS - we have booked for next year already!

These are fabulous apartments, I think they were brand new when we stayed in them - spotlessly clean, and the complex has a great swimming pool & bar area.
They are run by a friendly family who are very helpful.
They are situated in the Canal D'Amour part of Sidari, which is much nicer than the main street (which is just full of discos & bars).
We went to Sidari a few times but it was mainly geared towards the young ones, and there were people outside all the restaurants trying to pressure you to go in - to me that's a reason not to eat there!
We will book these apartments again, but next time we'll know to stay local in Canal D'Amour.
The beaches are by far the best as well, and we hired a car & went around the island, but the best beach was right on our doorstep by the apartments.
We went up the other way to find Sunset Beach (in the opposite direction from Sidari) one day and the views were amazing - well worth the walk, just turn right out of the apartments instead of going down.
On the way up we stopped for a drink in a lovely place called the Orchard - about 10minutes walk up on the left, it was actually a real orchard of trees, and they make a fruit crumble from their own fruit.
We wished we'd found it earlier, after that we spent the last few evenings up at the Orchard, the homemade Greek food couldn't be beaten anywhere, and the atmosphere was one you couldn't capture elsewhere.
All in all it was a great holiday, and we will be trying to get the Palmer again for this summer (hope we've not left it too late!).
See you in the summer - and we'll be back at the Orchard for dinner as well.

Although Sidari is a disappointment and the mozzies a real nuisance, I can honestly say this was one of the best holidays we have ever had.
The apartments are superb, the staff fantastic and the facilities excellent, so that it makes up for everything else.
I will be going back here as soon as possible and would recommend the apartments to anybody looking for a relaxed holiday with a lovely Greek family.
Sidari beach is not worth a visit, if you are looking for noisy bars with loud music then the strip is where you will find it.
If you are looking for nice restaurants and a more relaxed atmosphere then the Canal d' armour area is excellent. Try the three pigs for a good Greek night out (watch out for the flames they like plenty of fire).
A trip to sunset beach is a must, otherwise just sit back, relax and let Spiros and Costas look after you. The entire family will make the holiday worthwhile.
