SATURDAY 9TH MAY 2009....how do you describe a dump like this? THE ICMELER RESORT (litera/ibas/relax)is a nightmare along with the goldtrail reps who do not seem to understand who pay thier wages.
the first problem was the balcony of the ibas....it had a 20m high tree planted in front of it? so was in darkness for the entire day.the reps would not change our room even though we had not even used the toilet and they would not even ask reception if we could move in case they missed out on thier breakfast..(they promised to review the situation on the monday 11/5/09)we are still waiting!.being as we arrived very early in the morning we went without a shower until we got out of our twin beds(we asked for a double)on sunday morning only to find that the shower did not work properly...we reported this to the so called reps....nothing was done.on the monday we realised that we had no COLD water now that is different we have stayed in [--] with no hot water.so now we had no sunlight no shower and no cold water so that we could have a bath because it took about 3 hours to cool down after running.when i say no cold water i mean no cold water..not in the cold taps the shower or even the toilet systern...when you pulled the chainhot water flushed down and if you used the little pipe that comes out to wash your bum you would not have a anal ring left.then the next day the toilet systern broke(could be the hot water melting parts inside?)and was reported as broken at 8a.m..at reception and again at 10 a.m. to the reps, by 1 p.m...i had lost my cool and went to the hotel manager who in 15mins had our toilet and shower fixed....the reps are useless and stand and argue with you instead of helping you. the reps REFUSED! to give us the address of the main office in marmaris BUT AFTER A LOT OF SEARCHING WE FOUND IT this is the address
BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WHEN YOU WRITE YOUR REVIEW PLEASE COPY/PASTE THE ADDRESS FOR THE NEXT PERSON TO USE....THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.i have many more gripes but not enough time to tell you about them all.

I really don't know where to start. We arrived at the Hotel totally exhausted after a long journey, got there about 8.00am and from stepping off the coach is and walking into the Hotel we knew we had made a massive mistake.
The reception (if you can call it a reception) was undescribeable really, there was a receptionist sat underneath a staircase which had wires hanging from it, he took the deposit for our safe and one of the porters showed us to our cell (SORRY ROOM), our feet actually stuck to the carpet it was that disgusting, all down the hall way there were big black marks on the carpet. Once in the room there was a huge square hole in the lowered part of the celing (I don't know if there should have been an air conditioning unit in it)!!!! there were big marks all over the walls, i dread to think what they were, we were showed our balcony (that was a joke) as he opened the door the branches of the trees came int the room, the balcony overlookd the kitchens which had about 200 big blue water bottles stacked up all down the wall, the bathroom had a paint hanging off the ceilin it was horendous.
We immediatly went to the reception to say we were not staying there for 1 minuet longer and asked to see the rep to be told she wouldn't be there until 11.00, We had to wait until 14.00pm to get a room or see a rep in a sister hotel the Abacus Metropole which was a little better than the Idas, I could not get my deposit back for the safe until the very last minuet before we were due to go home and then the Rep had to get it back for us. We did not get an appology from anyone at all and all the re said was ..."Yes we get complaints about that Hotel all the time"!!!!!!
This was truly a Holiday From Hell. DO NOT GO THERE

Hi All
Just got back from Turkey Icmeler stayed all inclusive. The food was okay but was same everyday so a week was bit much. Hotel was clean and tidy the hotel was one of three. We ended up eating out last 3 days it's so cheap. Go to Harrys for breakfast £1 for english breakfast (bargain) and ate at Valentinos fantastic fillet steak for £8 including Meze and ice-cream ichmeler is beautiful would def go back.

had a wicked time there. staff are really friendly and welcome, always happy to help. night luife is good only down fall is that the bar shuts at 11 i think this time should be extended. is situated in a great place by many shops, a market, from the beach and a disco down the road which is a great night. the animation team are a lot of fun and full of energy. would come back again :)

This was the second time we have stayed at the abacus complex hotel but the first time in the idas. the holiday was £341.00 each however i was not concerned as we had been here in 2006 and loved the holiday. How thins change. The food is terriable the idas lifts are unsafe as the leak oil on2 the floor and make it slippy. This was my main concern as we had our 82 year old mother with us. On the whole apart from the food and the fact that the hotel is very basic the entertainment was good and we had a good holiday.
Do Not arrange for transfers to your hotel with A2B
we had to wait about an hour and a half for our transfer to come and the organisers were very unhelpful . Very annoying when you have an 82 year old with you. The drinks at the hour port were about £4.00 for a bottle of water
However we had a good holiday but would not go back to the abacus. would not use goldtrail and certainly not use A2b

booked this holiday a week before going,verry cheap holiday,read reviews after booked and was dreading going after the reviews.was surprised when got there,yes the rooms were basic but clean.the food was good,the staff verry freindly.this holiday is ok if you just want a peaceful holiday.there are disco you can go to where the hotel will take you and bring you back,the nearest town is about 30mins away which you can get a bus from out side the hotel.me and my partner enjoyed ourself here.there is a market at the back of the hotel every tuesday and thursday.

Service at this hotel was really poor. No one at the complex seemed to want to be there and the reps were useless.
14 people arrived at the hotel at midnight after a long delay at the airport. There was 6 in our group. No food was available on the long flight and when we arrived the rep told us to go find our own food and drink as the hotel was unwilling to provide any at that time of night.We were shown to our room and left to get on with things.
In the morning you couldn't get a drink or any kind of meal before 08.00 as breakfast only started at 08.00 and there was no self service facilities for A/I guests. Eggs were the order of the day every day. They were either hard boiled(black) of soft boiled(runny jelly like substance) and salad was served with every meal.
Lunch and Tea time menus were pretty similar with chicken or processed meatball sticks seved almost every day again with the salad. The only thing that differed was the puddings, which were varied every day.
Fruit was melon and watermelon, apples and oranges again every day! Ice creams had to be paid for and A/I drinks consisted of beer, vodka, gin and local brandy fruit juice and the usual cola fanta etc.
When asking what local liquers were available i was met with a blank stare and then offered beer.
Considering that this hotel is advertised as being recently refurbished the bedding and curtains were shabby and the plumbing was disgraceful!
The showers didn't work properly and spat out really cold or really hot water. When complaing to the rep the reply i got was 'Oh, there all like that' then she laughed and walked off. No plugs were provided. The advice from the same rep was that i should go find a lemon and cut it in half then stick it in the plughole!
Towels were changed only if they actually had dirt on them and were left on the floor.
My young son wet the bed one night and the bedding was removed by myself. When i checked the bedding after the maid had been i found that she had put the same bedding back onto the bed!
Entertainment at the hotel was pretty nonexistant! There is nothing for young children or teenagers to do of a night, and unless you like listening to cheesy 80's love songs all night you will be bored silly!
Icmeler was a charming resort and we would definitely visit again but not at this hotel. Please do not believe what you read in the advertised brochere! This isn't even a cheap and cheerful hotel.

This was my sixth holiday in turkey,and the worst hotel i have stayed at. in fairness it was also the cheapest, i will be visiting Icmeler again, but not at this hotel, i think even 1 star is stretching it, i wont go into all my complaints as they are all listed in other reviews, and the only thing i can recommend about it is it is cheap, if you dont mind crap food and roughing it. I will recommend THE WATERFALL resturant in Icmeler for the best fillet steak ever.

we are really concerned about taking this AI holiday after reading a lot of bad reviews and a few good reveiws, about the hotel Abacus Icmeler Complex now known (this year!) as Litera Icmeler Delux 5 suns and goldtrail travel company. we have paid nearly £300 each and are in need of a good holiday NOW but cant get away due to work commitments so we are/were excited about the good deal we'd been offered and paid for to travel in the only time slot we could manage. we are not loaded with dosh and we are certainly not snobs but we do expect a certain level of cleanliness, food that wont make us ill, good facilities and helpful staff and holiday reps that take their work as seriously as we do. who changes the names of these hotels and who gives them their 'sun ratings'? i will be contacting ABTA. i'm waitinf for the travel agent to call me back so that i can raise these issues now and either be re-located or reimbursed all my hard earned dosh!!! will let others know how we get on. (feeling more exhuasted with this added worry!!) we've had to rate this holiday before we can submit our query so to be fair we cose 5 is that too much????

turkey its self is a really nice place and so are the people? i am 19 and my partner who i went wit is 22 the food was horrible nether off us liked it chickhen every nigth or salad was are chocie and breakfast was egg or beans wit toast ? the resort icmeler its self is a really nice place views were lovely the rooms are no five star at all nether is the hotel i wud give it about a 2 pushin on a 3 ? when you first arrive you are takin to a block which isnt to bad at all but b block is horrible an were i stayed in c block was even worse it smelt like a toilet god help them wen it gets to high season thats all i can say
