Westgate Palace Hotel

We visited Orlando about three weeks ago and our stay at the Palace was very nice. The lobby needs work, but the suites are really clean, the furniture is all new and has all the things that you would want in a home away from home. The view from the WET-N-wild side is great! The location could not be any better. There is a marble glass shower in the master bedroom, and a marble counter top in the kitchen. our family of 2 adults+3 kids loved the westgate palace.we stayed for 11 nights.our accomodation was exactly as westgate site says-2 bed, 2 bath jacussi bath in one,washer drier{no charge},dishwasher, fridge freezer,-they even provide washing powder +dishwasher powder free,air conditioning worked perfectly-it was 100 deg f.min room service every day-towels+bins,full room service 3 times during our stay.3 large screen tvs with 35 channels including disney.ok so the shower did cut off for a few seconds if you were slow getting in but it cut... more

My family and I (2 adults, 4 children) stayed at Westgate Palace for 5nites and enjoyed our 2 bed 2 bath kitchenette suite. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. Despite the minimal renovations occuring, it didn't impact our privacy. There are very few activities within the hotel itself, however, the location of the hotel makes up for that. Clean, spacious, we were on the 16th floor & view was great. The place is being renovated and once it's complete I'm sure it will be excellent. The entrance area could improve but othewise great place to stay, within walking distance to everything.

Ok, I read all the bad /mediocre reviews about this hotel but I booked it anyway since I needed a 2 B/R with full kitchen for a week on short notice. WOW!! I'm sitting in the living room right now (today is Jan. 26th, 2005) typing on my laptop and really, I couldn't be happier. We Just got back from Orlando and this Hotel is definitly a 5 star Hotel. We would stay there again. I nearly canceled because of some of the reviews. Try this one out you will not be sorry.

Interesting to read the mixed reviews of this place - I stayed there last week for 3 nights, paying only $79 + tax for each night. The accommodations are in refurbishment, but we had a renovated room and it was as a previous review described - fresh decor, clean, fresh towels, etc. The only comment that I could make on a negative side was that the rooms looking towards Kissimmee(essentially toward the car park) were slightly smaller in the living/kitchen area. there was no breakfast bar as shown in the model room on the 17th floor. So... your probably just like me, looking for a nice hotel to stay in at Orlando. Well if you picked this hotel like I did, you are in for a surprise! I had booked this hotel about 4 weeks in advance. I booked an 8 day/7 night vacation package at Westgate Palace for $369 plus tax through a vacation website. They first offered a stay at another Westgate Resort at a much higher rate. When I told them that was too high, the offer to stay at Westgate Palace was made. The contact person was slow in getting info back to me.
