La Quinta Convention Hotel

We came to Orlando from Tampa for a convention and decided to stay in Orlando to go to Disney. We logged on to trip advisor to find a decent hotel(since the convention host was going to pick up to $50.00). This hotel seemed to have good reviews and decent price. Great hotel - well priced in a good location. Quiet. Good parking. Secure access (via room key) means you can park car and enter hotel via nearest door without having to go through reception each time. Easy access to a variety of upscale restuarants, bars and shops (directly across from Mercado) - all within 5-10 minutes walking distance. I won a Grand Prize Package to Halloween Horror Nights with hotel accomendations at this hotel...It was clean and nice indeed...I didn't get to stay in a deluxe room with the real comfortable beds, but must confess the beds in our room was actually not that bad either...Nice big rooms, it was spacious enough for 3 of us to be comfy and not on top of each other even with the roll away bed included...I would stay here again when it was coming out of my own pocket...

This hotel was nice. The best part was the bed. It was very soft and comfortable. The room we got was handicap accessible (even though we didn't need it), so I don't know if it was bigger than the other rooms or not. There were a few stains here and there on the carpet and curtain, but overall the room seemed clean. I was a little leery about staying at a "La Quinta Inn" but was pleasantly surprised. Great service. Everyone was exteremly helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean. The room and bathroom were above average in size and VERY clean. The pool area was nice and most of the time our family had the pool to ourselves. Our family ate at the breakfast buffet each morning. My husband and I and our 2 children, 15 and 17 stayed at this La Quinta Inn & Suites from June 26 to July 2 2005. This is a very nice hotel, well kept up and staff was helpful. A special thank you to Mr. Frank who sang happy birthday to me on June 27. He was a delightful person to be around. Security guard was extremely nice. The only issue that I had was every night or so we had to go down stairs and tell the front desk we needed small towels, after all we were a family of 4 in the room. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids ages 3 and 11) recently got back from our vacation in Florida. We spent 2 nights at the LaQuinta and I must say that it was worth it. The hotel was very nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were a little worried because the location was right near the pool area and the rear entrance, but were relieved to find that noise was not a factor. We stayed there June 23-26. This hotel was very clean with a nice pool and hot tub,also with a nice breakfast. I did have one problem upon checkout with the room rate but it was promptly resolved. The staff was very professional and I would definately stay there again.

I was a little hesitant booking a room at this hotel because it is a two star hotel. Forget those stars, this is an extremely clean and well kept property. Friendly staff ,swimming pool, a gym and the location between all the action of disney and universal at a budget price make it a legit top hotel contender.

Stayed last 4 nights of fortnights holiday here. Very pleased with all aspects of the hotel. Would have liked a fridge in the room but plenty of free ice available on each floor. Very clean & well kept. Friendly staff & pleasant enviroment. Good choice of food for breakfast included in the price when booked through Alpharooms.com. Though separated from the Mercado Centre & everything on International/Universal, its position appeared far more secluded & private. Highly recommended.
