Hampton Inn Universal Hotel

The hotel is was undergoing major refurbishment whilst we were staying there. This was being done very efficiently, quietly and to extremely high standards. We would return there without hesitation. The staff (especially Brenda on reception) were most helpful and would put themselves out to deal with any queries either large or small. Lovely hotel!

Just to add to what most others say about this hotel. If you want a cheap hotel, location near restaurants on I-Drive and are happy with basic but more than adequate facilities, this is it. It's less than 5 minutes to Bahama Breeze and the newish TGI Friday's, which are directly over the road from Race Rock and Olive Garden. The decor is a bit tired, but they are currently redecorating. Stayed here for 2 weeks October 05. Friendly staff. Wonderful breakfasts. 24 hour coffee and tea. Ice machines on every floor. Rooms cleaned every day. Quiet location but backs on to International Drive, 5 minute walk. Near to TGIs, Ponderosa, Friendlys, Pizza Hut and walking distance Pointe Orlando shopping, cinemas etc. Thoroughly recommended.

My husband, myself, my son , daughter in law and grandson stayed here in September 05 and thought it was absolutely fantastic value for money. I have paid a lot more in the past for different hotels in Orlando but found this to be the best. The staff are brilliant and the maids cleaned the rooms every day doing a fantastic job. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. stayed in hotel for a week in August. Staff were superbly helpful (especially Brenda Lee) and rooms were spotless. The location was excellent, just off international drive, but fairly quiet and close too all the attractions. I would stay here again without a doubt. Even get a free buffet breakfast. Gym and pool were basic, but even they were pretty good considering the price of the hotel. The internet access helped us when we had to contact home. Highly Recommended!!!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Convention Centre on Universal Boulevard for the final 2 nights of our 2 week Florida vacation in August 2005 and of the 3 hotels we stayed in on this trip this was the best for cleanliness, friendliness of staff and most importantly was the best value for money as I only paid £44 for 2 nights. Have just returned from a week at the Hampton Inn Convention Centre Orlando. Our stay was a pleasure from the moment we arrived until our departure one week later. If first impressions are important then the hotel should ensure that they keep Brenda on reception 24/7 as she made us feel incredibly welcome from the second we walked into the hotel. I stayed in the Hampton Inn 8900 Universal Boulevard in late June. My wife and three kids one of whom is autistic were with me. I have been to the States on a number of occasions and this was the most welcoming and nicest hotel I stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble, my autistic child is on a special diet and I asked if we could get some food items put in the fridge, a small fridge was delivered to the room in minutes. Stayed here for 7nights over Easter and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel for only £28 per room/night. The room had two double beds with choice of pillows, bath and shower and was spotlessly clean. The hot complimentary breakfast was excellent and was regularly stocked up so there was always the same amount of choice no matter what time you ate. This was a great hotel! We stayed here on our Spring Break! The rooms were very clean and spacious. The pool was clean, warm and refreshing. The breakfast in the morning was very good, with cereal, pastries, fruit, yogurt and bread items. The staff kept it stocked, considering there were MANY guests eating! When we arrived the gentleman was not very pleasant or helpful, but other than that, we had a very nice stay and would return again!
