Excellent

Hotel Adamello is situated perfectly in Passo Tonale only 500 meters from tha main lifts. Rooms are clean, tidy, spacious and well-equipped. Dinner reveals news about italian cuisine every night, and breakfast is OK, both meals are included in a very reasonable price.
White Christmas
from Grij
This was our first family ski holiday and our first Christmas away from home and familiy. We had a lovely time in this family orientated resort and the Hotel Adamello in particular. We are hoping to come back next year. We had an extremely spacious family room (1xdouble, 2xsingle) with an equally spacious en-suite bathroom. There was plenty of storage for all our ski clothing and small balcony. There was no bath but great shower with unlimited hot water. The hotel does have a ski locker room. However, we hired space at the rental shop (next to Sporting Vittoria Hotel) so that we didn't have to carry skis for the 5 minute walk to the lifts - useful for very tired boys! The food was superb. The evening meal consisted of starters from a buffet, two savoury courses and a dessert. Each evening we were asked to choose our main courses for the following night. This was part of the fun - some of us could be adventurous whilst others could have bolognaise pasta. The Christmas Day evening meal was a six course extravaganza. The family that ran the hotel and all the staff were very friendly and helpful and made our holiday a very happy one.
Best Hotel in Tonale
from sctindall
Just spent our third ski trip in Tonale and looking forward to going back again next year. Hotel is fantastic and Michele and Betty are perfect hosts along with their gorgeous little daughter Azzura. Food is fantastic and unbelievable value for money. Don't stay anywhere else if you're going to Tonale.

Dear Guest,
I'm really sorry you didn't liked coffe in the morning;
I know it is the classic instant coffee most of the hotels serve at breakfast (it is made like the german coffee, with a mixture of coffee powder and barley) and surely is very far from the italian expresso.
Naturally, it is just a possibility and expresso or cappuccino are available at the bar.
I thank you for the complaint so now I know I have to change kind/brand of instant coffee.
Hope next year you will be back tasting our new coffee.
Regards.

Fantastic food and service
from walshc
We were a group of three adults, looking for a well priced ski trip. We booked this trip through First Choice and we very pleased with the entire package. The hotel is modern, clean, well staffed and the food is great. We arrived late on the first night, and there was a lovely plate of meats and cheese waiting. Great for me, not great for the other two, who were both vegetarians. The staff immediately sorted it, despite the kitchen being closed. They arranged cheeses and fruit without a problem. Dinner was a salad buffet which was very varied, followed by two courses and a dessert. You make your selection the night before, and there was always a lot of choice. None of us ever left the table hungry or unhappy (even the vegetarians). Breakfast was quite typical for the area- meats, cheeses, cakes, croissants, cereals etc. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from the lifts, so we hired lockers in the centre- it was 8euros for 6 days which was well worth it. Alternatively there is a ski bus which picks up close to the hotel. Bar is nice, pretty quiet the week we were there and cheaper than elsewhere in the resort. In terms of the skiing- I would class myself as intermediate (7 weeks) and I loved the resort. Don't miss the free bus to Madonna- every wednesday. If you buy the area lift pass, it includes 1 day in Madonna, which is a fantastic resort. You need to book the free bus in the tourist office early in the week as it does get booked up. Also, if you want to book private transfers, you can transfer from Verona or Bergamo for 25euro return on Saturdays during the season. Overall, I would be very happy to return and probably will.
Awesome stay

We spent our first spring break in Tonale at Hotel Adamello...definitely going back next year. Perfect place for relax and ski. Very charming family run hotel, recently renewed, friendly owners and (international) staff, equipped for children. The hotel is close to the slopes, it's in a quiet area but close to all amenties, surrounded by nature, bueatiful view from our bedroom. Food is great, especially lasagna, don't miss milk-vov at the lovely bar after ski. We recommend the hotel for families like us, but there were groups of teens from all over Europe. Enjoy!
Fabulous location and service
from Skifbum
Just spent new year at this super hotel in Passo Tonale. Great views across the valley with plenty of snow out back for the children to sledge on. Food was superb, especially the Gala New Years Eve and last night meals. The hotel owners are extremely pleasant and approachable (especially their beautiful baby daughter) and all the staff (restaurant, bar and cleaners) work continually to ensure your stay is top class. Definitely a place to revisit.
Great service smiling staff
from badboy_borris
I stayed over the New Year period and really liked the hotel, especially the friendly smiling staff. They happily went out of their way to please. The food was excellent with a nice buffet breakfast and an delicious evening meal, usually starting with a cold buffet followed by two main course and a pudding. The New Years eve Sylvester feast was superb. Both the service and food were great - its a mystery to me why a previous reviewer thought it bad, maybe the chef has changed? I stayed with my children, they were well catered for and there were lots of other families staying. Everyone was clearly having a good time. As for the rest of it, the bar was nice and relaxed and the drinks good value (ie far cheaper than in England!), the room was nice and clean. There was plenty of hot water. The ski store worked fine. The kids enjoyed the games room. There was ample parking. The TV could have been bigger, but if I'd wanted to watch a big TV I'd have stayed at home. I'd definitely recommend it.
Going back next year!

I have already booked my flights to go back to the Adamello Hotel for my third consecutive year because, after researching the area, it is without a doubt the best value hotel in the area! The rooms are clean, comfortable and warm. The apres ski is good and the service in the bar is excellent, I know because we spent many hours there!!! Everybody in my group would always look forward to dinner time as the experience in the restaurant was always impeccable. The menu changed every night and the food was consistently good. The owners make you feel welcomed and are always prepared to help and assist you with anything you might need. I have recommended this hotel to many people and will continue to do so because it deserves to be recommended!
Clean, nice rooms but food terrible!
from A TripAdvisor Member
We have just returned from a week skiing in Passo Tonale and stayed at the Hotel Adamello. Rooms are perfectly functional and spacious and cleaned to a very high standard daily. Has nice bar area for an apres ski drink (recommend the hot chocolate!) though is far from lively. Located near all local amenities. Can't ski to the door but still ideally situated close to lifts. The main disappointment (which explains the average rating) was the food which was terrible. Everything cooked to a poor quality - surely not asking too much to put a good pasta dish together in Italy?! We took the decision to eat out on some evenings despite having already paid for our food in the hotel.

Dear Guest,
since winter 2006-07 we changed our chef and new one is very good (as everybody says);
anyway I know you have been dining all the week by Pizzeria Alpi (my brother in law is the owner) eating pizza or spaghetti with pre-cooked tomato sauce or meat sauce ....
I think you could reconsider your review or make another visit to our hotel (in the meanwhile we have changed a lot of things, renovated rooms, re-equipped the game room....)
Regards.

We arrived in Passo Tonale on Boxing Day evening to find the charming Adamello Hotel blanketed in snow. Best features: Very welcoming greeting by the owners on reception (along with their small children). Superb waiting staff in the restaurant and bar. Excellent choice... more
