Room was dirty and needed refurbishment. Corridors had overflowing bins in them.

Was told this was a 4 or 5 star resort, I would be generous giving it a 2. The staff is not very friendly, but it is most likely do to the amount of upset complaining guests. Upon check in we were told that there was no maid service, but we could request that our beds be... more

Great Place to Stay!
We stayed here the week of July 26-31. I apoligize for the spelling, I can't remember how to spell it. We at first went to the other Country Inn and Suites nearer Disney World. I have seen several reviews on this hotel, but not on this one. We were treated very well. I was impressed with the free aminities such as three pools (one like a small beach with a neat slide) put-putt, better than average continental breakfast (three attendants were there each morning to be sure nothing ran out), free coffee, cookies and popcorn. They had... more
Great pools. Ok to fair room
Stayed at the County Inn & Suites Calypso Cay in April 2004. Reserved a NS King Suite, and confirmed reservation may times. At check in they had us in a smoking room with two queen beds. The clerk at the desk insisted we had booked this type of room. After strongly questioning the clerk and showing him or confirmation he found us a NS king Suite. Most people checking in were having problems with their reservations. The suite was smaller than expected, and there was only about 10 inches of closet space for hanging clothes. The room... more
Lovely Hotel, 3 lovely pools, and a golf cource
We booked into The Country Inns & Suites in Calypso Cay, Kissemmee and were given 2 rooms right on the top floor. These gave us a birds eye view over a large area. The rooms were large well fitted out, and extreemly clean .There was a lovely breakfast bar on the ground floor and guests had the chioce of either sitting inside or outside, around any of the 3 lovely pools. For the fitness fanatic there was a gym and a mini golf course. The large central pool sloped from a beach like area to 5 feet at its deepest and this included a water slide... more
Great trip - would recommen
We stayed there for 4 nights (3/31-4/4) and had a great experience. The pool was great, my oldest son enjoyed the water slide. My middle son played putt putt golf everyday and thought it was great. There were always cookies there and popcorn next door. The breakfast was high carb, but good for the kids. The rooms are a bit cramped when you add a crib, but for $65 a night, who cares! The housekeeper was so nice! The front desk could get busy, but still kept smiling. The trip to Disney was too easy with the toll highway right there. The Publix... more
I really enjoyed my stay!
I was reading the review and had to write, my Mom,daughter and myself stayed there in November and was quite pleased with the Hotel, we travel to Orlando about every 3 months and have stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels in the area and they were not as nice as this one, the rooms are very clean, beds where comfortable, staff was very helpful, pool area very comfortable for watching my daughter I could see every where, considering the other hotels we have stayed at that dont even offer a breakfast and where alot more expensive, plus 5 star ones, the... more
don't stay here
We just came back from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We stayed in the kid suite which my kids seemed to like, but this place is not very clean. They do not change linens daily and obviously do not change comforters between guests as we had some dried "stuff" on our blanket when we opened it. When we talked to the manager she took $20 off our total which I did not think was satisfactory. We will definitely not stay here again. The maids did not vacuum and there were not fresh cookies as noted in the ad. Also, the breakfast is very drab.
nice place but stay closer
We stayed there March 3,2004 very clean, nice hotel, the heated pools were very comfortable, but the hotel is too far away from Disney and Universal, took their shutttle over an hour to get to the parks, driver was always late, and too many stops to and from the parks, the shuttle to Disney drops you off at Epcot then you have to get another bus to other parks,I always stayed at Disney before and will go back to staying at Disney
Cute... But....
August 2002: My son and I stayed in a kidsuite, which wasn't available our first night. They put us in a regular suite and the first thing I noticed is that there was gum stuck on the carpet. The kid suite was a vast improvement... very bright and clean. The continental breakfast is pretty high carb and ordinary but I didn't expect a lot for the price we paid.... I just considered it a bonus. They also had problems with the room charges, though they were quick to drop them when I said we didn't do any pay per view. I never could get the... more
thin walls
This a fantastic hotel but the walls are paper thin and could hear everything going on in my neighbors rooms (which was interesting as you can imagine). Breakfast was extremely busy with salesmen trying to sell timeshares (annoying). The hotel is beautiful inside and out.
Great place, wonderful value
We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites for 4 days (Dec. 9-13th) and loved it! The yellow and blue decor of the rooms and lobby is very cheerful and tasteful, and the hotel is only a few years old so everything is in great shape. We thought the rooms were very comfortable, including the beds, and it was great having a refrigerator and microwave. The maid did a great job and even did cute things like put all our toothbrushes in an arrangement using a cleverly tucked washcloth. Our kids really enjoyed the swimming area, too, with the giant... more
