" Lovely!!!!!Returned few days ago - want to go back. "

returned from this hotel few days ago and def have the holiday blues since. I have been to many places but this was def my favorite hol so far. The hotel is very clean and rooms very spacious. I am 23 and i went with my Mum whos 49 & my son who is 5, we had an amazing time. I am very shocked to read that some people were not 100% satisfied with entertainment we were all very satisfied and had a great time every night, so did the many people that we met whilst there. The hotel hired a new entertainer who is lovely there are sports activites throughout the day and you are not persuaded to take part if dont choose to. Everyone seemed to have loads of fun taking part. Evening they have kiddies disco where kids dance and get to know each other. entertainers were energetic and make the effort to remember the childrens names. Short game of bingo and then something different each night which entertained both the children and the adults. They had shows where holiday makers took part which were very funny, chinese gymnasts, magicians, halloween show. I was very very impressed. There are three lovely beaches near by, variety of resturaunts although food in hotel so nice we did not need to go. Absolutely beautiful country, lovely people and very clean. Had fantastic time and although never been back to same place twice i am considering going again with lots of friends and family. Absolutely Great place and as said before entertainers and other staff very lovely

Advice: Amazing and great fun

Activities: hotel food & hotel entrrtainment

" Great place, recommened to anyone "

We travelled to Lanzarote Bay October half term week for a one week stay. Having read some of the reviews on here, we were a bit nervous of the food - However we could not have been more wrong - the whole holiday was fantastic.
Reception - Great, light, airy and spacious, quick checking in system, and helpful at all times. Facility to hire tennis, table tennis and football equipment, 5 euro deposit, but returned when the equipment is given back. Also able to hire safety deposit box (which is located in your room)
Bedroom - 1 bedroom apartments with kitchen facilities including kettle, fridge, two ring hob and basic crockery and cutlery. Travelling with a baby, I needed a microwave, I asked at reception to hire one, and they provided one free of charge that was delivered within 10 minutes of asking. The only down side to the bedroom is that there is no main light (just bedside lights and a standard lamp) which occasionally made it a little dark. The bathroom had a big double shower in it which gave powerful showers along witha modern sink and toilet. The rooms were spotless and cleaned 6 days out of 7. Fresh towels everyday and linen changed mid week. We also had a cot, and were provided with a modern travel cot complete with spotless bedding for our baby. The room had a flat screen TV, a dining table with 4 chairs, a large sofabed and two comfy chairs. Outside was a table and two more chairs.
Pool Area - The pool area was great, cleaned daily and never a shortage of sunbeds. The pool itself was fantastic (if a little cold!) on one side it gently shelves in which is perfect for children. There is also a dedicated kids pool as well. The sunbeds were modern and comfy! There is also a great pool bar with a constant selection of snaks to eat (well maintained throughout the day by the chef's) there is beer, tea coffee and soft drinks on a self service basis. All other drinks are beind the bar and are served to you on asking by the barman. Never a queue at the bar. Ice cream also available all day too. There were also 6 cocktails that were included in the AI package.
Restaurant - Massive range of food at every meal. If you do not like the food at this hotel then you are either expecting corden bleu food or like nothing more than burger and chips at every meal! There is a large salad bar with all types of salad and pastas etc, along with a wide selection of dips. There is a large bread counter with loaves, buns, crusty bread etc. The kids area is basic food but aimed at children and includes pizza, fish fingers, chicken nuggets, chips etc. But there was always veg or salad there as well. The Chef cooked fresh at each meal, at breaKfast he was doing omlettes, and fried eggs, at lunch omlettes made to order (highly recommended) and at tea he would do fish (lemon sole, mackerel etc) or meat (liver, pork, venison or steak) there was always a paella as well as other things - for example chicken, stuffed peppers, curry, ham and chesse wrapped in bacon, canelloni etc - there were different thingsevery night. There was also always pasta and bolognaise sauces etc as well. Desert was equally varied!! - Drinks were again self service with beer, red and white wine on offer (as well as soft drinks) if you wanted anything else then you just asked at the bar.
Entertainment - the animation team were brilliant!! - They worked endlessly. Our 4 yr old daughter went to kids club (11 till1 and 3 till 5) and loved Vero the lady who looked after them. Igor did the adults entertainment and did a great job of inspiring people to play a variety of games. However, if you did not want to play he did not harrass you!! At night the kids disco was great (if you have children!) Our 4 year old has the disco has the highlight of her evening. Bingo followed and then at 10pm there was entertainmnent including magicians, Chinese artists and singers.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is great to relax and spend a week with the family and not have to worry about a thing.

" Good Food "

Overall this was a nice place to stay with polite staff and great food. Wine was very nice and bar staff were always pleasant. The pool became very busy and could have been cleaner. The only real gripe I had was that there was no British or American movie channels, only German and Spanish. If you wanted the odd quiet night in, it would have been nice to have had some movies to watch.
If you book through Expedia be careful as they don't tell you about the extra baggage charges at the Airport. We had to pay an additional £64 pounds for return baggage at Gatwick.

Advice: beach very windy! go to Papagayo in the south

Activities: Papagoyo beach near Playa Blanca

" Quiet resort, not for young people. "

My partner and I are both 25 and wanted a nice relaxing holiday with a few things to do while we were there. We booked all inclusive but decided we would have a couple of nights out while we were there. We were told that the resort was on the quieter side but still had plenty to do. We got there at midnight and couldn't fault the room. The air conditioning was not working but when reported to reception, it was fixed immediately. During the 7 nights we were there, we ate out 3 times. The food we did eat in the hotel was nice but I just found it was a bit repetitive. They had pork 6/7 nights! The rooms were were nice and modern and cleaned 6 out of the 7 days we were there to a good standard. The rep (Bianca) was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The entertainment staff were lovely but the entertainment itself wasn't up to much. There was a daytime programme that we joined in (water polo, archery, etc) which kept us entertained. The nightime entertainment was a massive let down for us though. At 8:30 every night they had the mini disco, then at 9 they played bingo. The main entertainment was 10-11 and then that was it. The main shows were really not up to much either. Not enjoying the entertainment, we decided to go out. There was nothing much for us to do in the resort though either. There were several young couples there while we were there and all of us were bored. We tried to join in as much as we could but ended up being in bed at midnight every night. On our last night all of us got together and ordered a few drinks from the bar just before midnight to keep us going for a while. We were told to be quiet and go to bed at 12:30!
Main points:
Rooms modern and clean. Showers great!
Food nice but repetitive (and I'm a fussy eater)
Not much to do at nightime so if you're loooking for a little nightlife, do not go to this hotel or resort.
Pool area clean and tidy.
5 minutes walk to small quiet beach or 10/15 minutes walk to larger beach.
We would go to Lanzarote again but to a slightly busier resort (Puerto del Carmen I'm told).

" Great hotel! - Location & Entertainment let it down! Sack the Entertainers! "

What can I say about the Lanzarote Bay Hotel. Me and my partner booked through UlookUbook and were very impressed with the ease of the Airport and Hotel check-in. This hotel gives a very good impression when you arrive at the entrance - only 15mins transfer from the Airport. I would like to start by saying this hotel is spotless in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Rooms were spot on - the beds are not too great and if you go on any day trips you will notice that the beds came from IKEA, the legs are very flimsy which make alot of noise when you turnover which explains the reviews I read before going about people moving furniture in the middle of the night. Very impressed with the maids - they even washed the dishes for us which I wasn't expecting. For an All Inclusive hotel the food was pretty good - lacked variety but thats what you get with AI, but the standard was very high. I have a delicate stomach when it comes to food and I can safely say I was not ill once. The pool area is fab, sun lounges are basic and come few and far between, people tend to put towels on them and then bugger off allday, which is extremely annoying! The drinks available are pretty varied and their spirit measures are way past generous! The entertainment in this hotel is appauling - you have bingo everynight which is fine, but the childrens disco lasts 15 minutes and then thats it for the kids - if you have kids you will not be too pleased! On the upside for the entertainment they did have a few shows that come in - Lord of the Dance and a fantastic Magician Show were pretty amazing. Location - if you like holidays with things to do and places to see, then this is not for you. There is a beach about 10 minutes away (Playa Bastian) which is how can I put it - rubbish, if you go abit further afield, you will find the Bay with alot more shops, restaurants and a fab beach - you can walk it in about 20 minutes - we opted to jump in a taxi to go back to the hotel - costs about 2.50 euros, little bit of an incline as you come back. There is a lovely Chinese Buffet in the Bay - Chinese Palace I think it was called - 5.95 euros, eat as much as you like. There isn't that much to choose from but what is there is really yummy. What we can say about Lanzarote Bay is that this was one of the best hotel's we have stayed in, but the Entertainment is to be desired! We won't be going back to Costa Teguise as there isn't much to do, but will definetely consider Hoteteur Hotels in one of their other resorts in the future. There are a wide variety of guests that stay here. We met some lovely people from Glasgow, who made this holiday so much more enjoyable and we hope to meetup with them in one of the other islands next year!
Best Features - Cleanliness, room specs, good food for AI.
Worst Features - Entertainment Programme, Sunbed availability, Location.

Advice: If you want to chill and relax in the hotel all holiday - this is exactly what you want.

Activities: Texas Ranch - small animal park, fills up about 3 hours. Volcano Tour - expensive, but interesting!

" March holiday "

Just returned from this hotel and just can't fault it.Staff very friendly, food excellent, rooms very clean - just perfect.A lovely location too.I just have to comment on other reviews and say that if people want to complain about lack of entertainment etc. why don't they book somewhere in Puerto del Carmen the busiest part of the island. We went for a quiet break and that is exactly what we got. Absolutely fantastic and would go back in a minute.

Advice: Great place for a relaxing holiday

" Myself, husband and two year old have... "

Myself, husband and two year old have just returned from a weeks break at the Lanzarote Bay. We had a fantastic time. The hotel has been refurbished to an excellent standard. The living accomodation is great, the bathroom is very modern and it is all very clean. Our appartment was right next to the Childrens Pool which was brilliant for our two year old. The staff were excellent and you can tell they really work hard, care about their customers and are proud of their hotel. On one day a few tiles had come off the bottom of the childrens pool and they fixed this on the same day. The food is excellent with a great choice. At Breakfast there is the usual full english plus croissants, cold meats, fruit, cereal, yoghurts etc etc. At lunch time we tended to eat in the pool bar where there was always fresh food such as chips, pasta, salad, cold meats, burgers, sausages etc etc. At tea time there was also a great choice. There was a carvery, pasta, stews, grilled meats, salads, soups, kiddies food, choice of potatoes, excellent desserts etc etc. The drinks choice was excellent and the Cocktails were all inclusive too. The staff were all very friendly and great with our two year old. There were activities on throughout the day (more aimed at adults) we didn't take part although they looked like fun. Of an evening there was a disco and/or face painting for the little ones and then your usual evening entertainment (dancing shows {body heat was hilarious} , abba tributes etc etc). Costa Teguise itself is okay. Quite a small resort and it was very quiet while we were there. It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach and the middle beach is fantastic if you have small children. It's small and shallow with beautiful clear water. All in all a great holiday and a fantastic hotel.

Have just returned from this hotel and could not fault it. The decor is modern and the place is spotless. The staff cannot do enough to please and are always willing to go that extra mile. The food is varied and tasty and is all good quality and the entertainment is very good especially for families.

The weather is hot but breezy and desite the breeze the air con is a welcome addition.

ONE POINT TO NOTE: MEN MUST WEAR FULL LENGTH TROUSERS FOR THE EVENING MEAL.

Had a wonderful holiday and would definately recommend this hotel to others

" What a fantastic holiday. I went... "

What a fantastic holiday. I went with my partner and 3 children aged 3, 8 and 12. The first thing I am going to mention is the staff. All the staff - reception, bar staff, entertainers, cleaners, chefs, cooks, etc were so helpful and polite and couldn't do enough to help you. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and spacious. We in fact had two rooms adjoining with a door through the middle so we were extremely pleased (especially with a 12 year old who likes to spend an hour in the shower!). The food was delicious with such variety. In fact we had intended to eat out a couple of times before we went but decided against it as we felt we wouldn't be served better elsewhere and we would have had to pay - even though we could afford it with 3 bingo wins!. That brings me on to the entertainment which was varied and enjoyable. There was something for all ages and all tastes at all times of the day. The pool was lovely and we all dipped in and out of it all day - it wasn't too cold for us and the one day out of 14 that we couldn't get sunbeds they got us some out of a store (nothing was too much trouble). I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. My only reservation in giving such a good review is that I'm convinced they will put up the prices significantly next year!

" This hotel was absolutely brilliant.... "

This hotel was absolutely brilliant. We had originally got transferred from another hotel to this one and were meant to be on a half board basis only to arrive and be told that it was all inclusive, which was a great surprise!!
When first entering the hotel it was very modern and the reception staff were very helpful, and it was very easy to find our room. Our room was really lovely and spacious and immacuately cleaned every day, the cleaners did a really good job.
The pool bar was great and the bar men were very nice, you could have as many drinks as you wanted and no one blinked an eye. The bar stayed opened until 11.00 and then if you wanted to carry on there was another bar opened until 12.00.
The entertainment team done a very good job they worked all day and got both the kids and the adults to do different actvities from playing football to water games which were fun.
The hotel is situated about a 15 min walk away from the hotel which was fine as it is only a short distance away and if you don't want to walk there is a shuttle bus every 15 mins.
The hotel is a really lovely place and i would recommend it for anyone who wants a relaxing holiday whether as a group, a family or as a couple.

" On arrival at the hotel it was 11pm,... "

On arrival at the hotel it was 11pm, the staff was very polite & spoke good english, the hotel room was spotless with Air conditoning, the cleaners gave us clean towels every day apart from Sunday's. The food was absolutely beautiful such a good variety, not much for children in the evening, but the pool bar had food (chips, nuggetts, fish fingers etc) so my 2 children who are 9 & 10 munched alday so come evening meal wasn't bothered anyway. The pool was freezing but my boys wasn't that bothered was always in there anyway. Thought it was a bit of cheek having to pay for the pool table outside 2euros a go, got very costy especially with 2boys. The evening entertain was ok, couple of acts were good but the rest was very disappointing. The kids club was disappointing, my youngest (who's 9) went to the kids club but was the eldest there so didn't enjoy it, my eldest (who's nearly 11) joined up with all the teenagers but was the youngest, but he enjoys playing football, volleyball & darts. The 4 leaders do work very hard throughout the day & night. In all it was excellent, it was our first holiday abroad & it was lovely and hot & very relaxing, the boys really enjoy themselves. The shops are very close & the beach is too.

" We stayed June 08 - absolutely lovely... "

We stayed June 08 - absolutely lovely place !! The complex had just been refurbed and is absolutely spot on! The staff are all friendly and really helpfull, rooms are spacious and clean maids do a wonderfull job, food was great even with a fussy 2 year old ! Only thing I would change is the pools they were freezing esp in the morning but a lot of foreign ones are and they warm up during the day ! Cant comment on the entertainment as with a toddler by the time it was all starting ours were ready for bed ! We had a fab time and would def go back again ! its very worthy of the 3 star rating I think next year they will re brand this as a 4 star. Get their while you can still afford it ! enjoy !!!
