Hotetur Lanzarote Bay Aparthotel Reviews
" Great place, recommened to anyone "
Submitted By: BevCReception - Great, light, airy and spacious, quick checking in system, and helpful at all times. Facility to hire tennis, table tennis and football equipment, 5 euro deposit, but returned when the equipment is given back. Also able to hire safety deposit box (which is located in your room)
Bedroom - 1 bedroom apartments with kitchen facilities including kettle, fridge, two ring hob and basic crockery and cutlery. Travelling with a baby, I needed a microwave, I asked at reception to hire one, and they provided one free of charge that was delivered within 10 minutes of asking. The only down side to the bedroom is that there is no main light (just bedside lights and a standard lamp) which occasionally made it a little dark. The bathroom had a big double shower in it which gave powerful showers along witha modern sink and toilet. The rooms were spotless and cleaned 6 days out of 7. Fresh towels everyday and linen changed mid week. We also had a cot, and were provided with a modern travel cot complete with spotless bedding for our baby. The room had a flat screen TV, a dining table with 4 chairs, a large sofabed and two comfy chairs. Outside was a table and two more chairs.
Pool Area - The pool area was great, cleaned daily and never a shortage of sunbeds. The pool itself was fantastic (if a little cold!) on one side it gently shelves in which is perfect for children. There is also a dedicated kids pool as well. The sunbeds were modern and comfy! There is also a great pool bar with a constant selection of snaks to eat (well maintained throughout the day by the chef's) there is beer, tea coffee and soft drinks on a self service basis. All other drinks are beind the bar and are served to you on asking by the barman. Never a queue at the bar. Ice cream also available all day too. There were also 6 cocktails that were included in the AI package.
Restaurant - Massive range of food at every meal. If you do not like the food at this hotel then you are either expecting corden bleu food or like nothing more than burger and chips at every meal! There is a large salad bar with all types of salad and pastas etc, along with a wide selection of dips. There is a large bread counter with loaves, buns, crusty bread etc. The kids area is basic food but aimed at children and includes pizza, fish fingers, chicken nuggets, chips etc. But there was always veg or salad there as well. The Chef cooked fresh at each meal, at breaKfast he was doing omlettes, and fried eggs, at lunch omlettes made to order (highly recommended) and at tea he would do fish (lemon sole, mackerel etc) or meat (liver, pork, venison or steak) there was always a paella as well as other things - for example chicken, stuffed peppers, curry, ham and chesse wrapped in bacon, canelloni etc - there were different thingsevery night. There was also always pasta and bolognaise sauces etc as well. Desert was equally varied!! - Drinks were again self service with beer, red and white wine on offer (as well as soft drinks) if you wanted anything else then you just asked at the bar.
Entertainment - the animation team were brilliant!! - They worked endlessly. Our 4 yr old daughter went to kids club (11 till1 and 3 till 5) and loved Vero the lady who looked after them. Igor did the adults entertainment and did a great job of inspiring people to play a variety of games. However, if you did not want to play he did not harrass you!! At night the kids disco was great (if you have children!) Our 4 year old has the disco has the highlight of her evening. Bingo followed and then at 10pm there was entertainmnent including magicians, Chinese artists and singers.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is great to relax and spend a week with the family and not have to worry about a thing.
Good for: Beach
" Good Food "
Submitted By: murdo1If you book through Expedia be careful as they don't tell you about the extra baggage charges at the Airport. We had to pay an additional £64 pounds for return baggage at Gatwick.
Advice: beach very windy! go to Papagayo in the south
Activities: Papagoyo beach near Playa Blanca
Good for: City Breaks
" Quiet resort, not for young people. "
Submitted By: debskrisMain points:
Rooms modern and clean. Showers great!
Food nice but repetitive (and I'm a fussy eater)
Not much to do at nightime so if you're loooking for a little nightlife, do not go to this hotel or resort.
Pool area clean and tidy.
5 minutes walk to small quiet beach or 10/15 minutes walk to larger beach.
We would go to Lanzarote again but to a slightly busier resort (Puerto del Carmen I'm told).
Advice: Great for a relaxing holiday but nothing more.
Activities: Shanghai Chinese Restaurant (cheap and gorgeous)
Good for: Beach

Submitted By: Miss C ToweWhen first entering the hotel it was very modern and the reception staff were very helpful, and it was very easy to find our room. Our room was really lovely and spacious and immacuately cleaned every day, the cleaners did a really good job.
The pool bar was great and the bar men were very nice, you could have as many drinks as you wanted and no one blinked an eye. The bar stayed opened until 11.00 and then if you wanted to carry on there was another bar opened until 12.00.
The entertainment team done a very good job they worked all day and got both the kids and the adults to do different actvities from playing football to water games which were fun.
The hotel is situated about a 15 min walk away from the hotel which was fine as it is only a short distance away and if you don't want to walk there is a shuttle bus every 15 mins.
The hotel is a really lovely place and i would recommend it for anyone who wants a relaxing holiday whether as a group, a family or as a couple.
