We have been to the Sea Star in Taba four times now, the last time being June 2010,and we are booked again to return in November 2010.The hotel is a bit remote,so going out on trips are very expensive, saying that the two hour trip on the submarine booked in the hotel is affordable, well worth going where you see loads of different fish and corals. The hotel is very friendly and you are greeted like family if returning for another holiday, the rooms are cleaned daily, as are both pools one of which is a noisy one but the top pool is very relaxing, just the place to chill out. There are plenty of sun-beds and shades, and clean beach towels, so no need to take your own.The food choice is not too bad, there is always some thing for all tastes, with omlettes, fried eggs, pancakes, and pastas, all cooked while you wait.Breakfast has fresh fruit, cereals, plus cooked food,so all in all no need to go hungary.Evening entertainment is very poor but the bar staff are great, and open until midnight.Overall,a affordable relaxing holiday with friendly staff, clean rooms, good food, and great weather.
- Advice: it is a very friendly relaxing holiday home from home

We have been back to England for two weeks now having spent two weeks in what we class as our second home in this fantastic hotel. My two teenage daughters and i have an absolutely fantastic time every time we go and we have been 5 times now. The hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly and it is very safe for all ages. I have already booked to return in April 2011. Thank you to all the staff that make it such a special and relaxing time. The resosrt is small which means i am able to relax and my girls can spread there wings (without going too far)I have found my piece of heaven in a very busy world.

Me and my family came to stay at the Sea Star in 2008. We found it to be one of our best holidays. The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is lovely n very clean. We are booking our second visit there for 2010.....cant wait cos i wont be 6 months pregnant then. If your looking for a lively holdiday then Taba is not the place for you. But looking for a nice family relaxing holiday by the pool or gorgeous beech then go to Sea Star u will love it.

My daughter and myself went to Taba in April. We had the most enjoyable holiday. The hotel was wonderful and clean and the food was very good as well. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and worked extremely hard. If you want to just lay in the sun for a week and do nothing this is the place to go

Feel I have found the absolute jewel of the Middle East after spending two weeks at the Sea Star.Small personal friendly and as another traveller put the Sea Star has an innocence about it which I truly agree with. From the manager Khalid ,his family, senior staff Mohammed, restaurant staff Mohammed waiters Ahmed(TuTu!),Reda, reception,Kamel, Mohammed and Housekeeping Ahmed.Pool Mamood, security men, drivers, the hotel was so well run, spotlessly clean, your every need was no problem, nothing was to much trouble and you felt that you were as welcome as family.I only went for one week but enjoyed it so much, delayed my flight and stayed for two.Another well travelled guest commented the stars and the submarine excursions were the best he had ever been on, I can certainly agree with the stars, the submarine trip will be something to look forward to when I return, which will certainly be this year.
The Diving School owned by Yasser and Artif situated on the private beach is amazing, they are experienced, enthusiastic, very flexible, friendly and trustworthy.
The beauty Salon is a must I had the most amazing pedicure by Hema(Abraham). The only problem I have is not to make the place too inviting as I do not want it to become spoilt and commercialised !!!.
- Advice: If you go take care of it and appreciate a wonderful peaceful oasis in a desolate beautiful setting
- Activities: The stars in the desert, the boat trips run by the Diving School

Hi,
a few weeks ago I and my wife returned from the Sea Star hotel located in Taba. That was our first trip to Egypt, so we have nothing to compare with but we can tell defininately, the hotel turned out to be a fantastic home for us. Everything was very good:the room, the personnel, the meals and the beach. We also liked the cost of our stay there,it was reasonable, so ordinary people like we are may have a chance to enjoy the hotel and the location.
In short, we are very happy to have spent our short vacation there and we are thinking of coming back as soon as we have a chance to enjoy Egypt.
Thanks a lot.
Warm regards
Serhiy and Julia

We were very pleased with our stay and found the staff to be very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was varied and we particulary enjoyed the freshly baked bread rolls and wonderful puddings! Drinks had to be collected from the bar and carried to the dining room, which meant more than one trip if you had more than two glasses to carry. This however was a minor inconvenience. Our room was cleaned every day but the toilets could do with more bleach put down! On our second last day, we had stomach upsets but this could have been caused by our trip to Cairo the previous day. I noticed that some inspectors were recording the temperatures of the cooked food and a chart was pinned on the wall and was kept updated. The hotel is quite isolated, however if you want to just sunbathe and enjoy swimming or snorkelling in the sea then this is the holiday for you.

My husband, myself and my daughter and her boyfriend returned from the seastar on the 7th july after a fortnights holiday. It was fantastic!! after reading some of the bad reviews I was worried about going!! It says that the hotel is remote and it is but that in no way spoils things! Hotel was clean and tidy, our rooms cleaned daily, and beds(Lovely and comfortable, with memory foam mattresses!) changed daily! All the staff do their utmost to make your stay an enjoyable one.lovely pools, you could change your pool towels whenever you wanted to for clean ones,so dont pack any beach towels like my daughter you dont need to!! I dont see why people were complaining about the food! Lots of different breads and rolls at breakfast, toasting machine, jam, honey, cereals, yogurt and different fresh fruits also a chef cooking pancakes to order and eggs etc.lunch, and dinner soup, hot food, salads,(we had fresh crab one evening!)and the desserts are to die for!! over 10 different varieties.LOVELY! We did quite a few trips, camel ride and bedouin dinner is fantastic! just do it! Quad bikes r fun too.we went to Eilat and my daughter and I snorkelled with dolphins. What an experience!snorkelling off beach is gd too! Weather 40 deg! what more could u ask for? U WILL LOVE IT!

very pleased with hotel extremely clean and spacious staff from hotel manager to bar staff and cleaners all pleasant and friendly this resort is not suitable if you want to go outside the hotel complex as their is nothing to do taba heights is the nearest place for this and is about 15 mins taxi ride has its own private beach approx 8 mins walk but their is a shuttle bus to and from hotel definitley suitable as a quiet relaxing getaway if you enjoy sunbathing very good value for money holiday small downside food is repetitive but is always edible beware of the extreme heat during the summer months drink plenty of water/soft drinks in the day!

This was my first visit to Egypt and althought I didnt know what to expect I know now that this is the place I recommend to everyone if you want a 'holiday'
If you want loud music.bingo, sticky vikki etc etc...this is not the place for you stay away, but if you want a 'holiday', something different, a place to relax and unwind then I cannot recomend this place enough. Its great. The place needs a bit of tlc is some places but this is Egypt, the staff on the other hand cannot be more welcoming. Everyone will do everything to make your holiday a good one. I made many good friend when I was there and most of themwhere staff. Great place, wonderful beach, fantastic staff, best two weeks of my life so far.......And I will be returning this year! I cannot wait to get back to see my friends in the sun.....(and if you have never been snorkling in the most amazsing waters then dont miss out get to the sea star.......)
