" Fantastic Hotel! "

This was our 3rd ski holiday having previously been to Bulgaria and Romania. The ski area was fantastic and big enough for us to ski a new bit every day without feeling lost in a overly big resort. We particularly enjoyed skiing on Jeffrau....there is a free bus which stops near the hotel and goes there. Whilst the slopes were by no means crowded, Jeffrau was quieter still with fantastic views from the summit. The rep Sinead was excellent, as was the hotel. Half board included a continental buffet breakfast and a 4 course evening meal - the food was faultless. Anti pasti buffet followed by a pasta course (choice of 4) followed by a meat course (choice of 4) followed by dessert!! The only negative was that we felt the tuition was not as good as we have had in other resorts and we did not progress as much as we have in the past. We enjoyed our free time skiing together in the afternoon's more and would not have lessons if we went back to this resort. The rep offered free 'cruise the blues' and 'best of the reds' trips on set days for people who like to be shown the slopes before braving them alone (like me!). Overall a fantastic holiday, we loved Italy and will definitely go back someday.

" Just got back from a week’s stay at... "

Just got back from a week’s stay at the Ca'Fiore.

We should have been staying at La Betulla but on arrival at Turin airport, were told we had been upgraded because of problems at La Betulla.

We are now extremely thankful of the change of accommodation!

The hotel was excellent and accommodated our party of 15 with no problems at all. We also had other people join our party for dinner on most evenings and nothing was too much trouble for them.

The evening meal was traditional Italian food which was excellent and plentiful - although some of the party felt it was a little repetitive. There was a choice of 4 starters, 4 mains and usually 3 desserts.

There was also a buffet of traditional Italian nibbles prior to the starter which were particularly popular.

The rooms were really nice - large, clean and recently refurbished with clean towels every day. All of our party had balconies.

We were all impressed with Bardonecchia itself - it’s a really nice town that's fairly quiet in the week but livens up from Thursday onwards. We were also all pleasantly surprised at how reasonable drinks and food were in the resort.

The skiing was good and we would thoroughly recommend the ski school. We had 3, 5 yr old boys in the party - all complete beginners at the start of the week and by the 4th day were skiing blue runs really confidently - all thanks to an excellent ski instructor.

However, the skiing is limited for those people who aren't confident on blue runs as apart from the nursery slope there weren't any green runs open. (This could have been due to some of the ski areas being closed)

All in all a brilliant week in a really friendly hotel and resort.
