We had a hotel which felt like a chalet, and once inside the rooms found them really luxurious, the bathroom was huge, the spa bath was so relaxing after we walked our socks off during the day. The town was quieter than in winter, but had a lovely laid back atmosphere. The hotel staff were unfailingly courteous, and all spoke english.
The rooms were comfortable and had lovely views of the mountains, one evening we had a spectacular view of a lightning storm which lit up the valley against the mountains at night-our own fireworks display.
The food was wonderful; hearty breakfast (not english)in evening-large buffet starters and waiter served main meals, good stock of wine for all budgets, and plenty of suggestions from the maitre'd. Catered for veggies and coeliacs, Pretty waitresses and good looking waiters, dinner lasted 2-3 hours.
Great value holiday
