Exclusive to Neilson and probably one of the best located hotels in Les Deux Alpes. Excellent piste-side location with all resort amenities a few minutes walk away. Positioned between the Jandri Express and the Diable lifts. The hotel is on the nursery slopes and the ski school meet at the hotel for all hotel guests. The Aalborg is managed by Neilson and run to a high standard. If you want a convenient piste-side location with a great Neilson atmosphere, then this is the hotel for you.

Excellent location at the bottom of the pistes to the main ski area but a trek across town if you want to ski the other side of the valley.
Rooms were basic but comfortable. Hotel dining room and lounge area are relaxing and informal. Hotel staff were friendly and food was good on the whole, although keeping stuff stocked up over breakfast seemed to be a problem.
Neilson could improve things hugely if they offered free wine with evening meals. The only thing that lets this place down is the ski area - if you don't fancy the long steep blacks or the winding, crowded, narrow green run back to the resort, catch the lift down. While there's some good runs high up, it's fairly limited overall and the snow was terrible at the time.

Excellent location - brilliant staff always very helpful - great food and loads of it - bathrooms tired but perfectly functional. We stayed Feb 2005 and again Feb 06 and staff remembered us. Hotel central and on the nursery slopes. We sat on the terrace with a drink watching our children ski until the lifts shut. Would go back again without hesitation but want to ski other resorts.
