Good morning - We just wanted to let everyone know what a fantastic holiday we have just had at this complex.
Staff great - rooms clean and tidy - with staff cleaning all the time.
Cases taken to the rooms on arrival. My husband and I each got a bottle of wine for our birthdays while we were there which we felt was a really nice touch.
We have done nothing but sing its praises since we came back on Friday 5th November 2010.
Thanks for a truely great holiday - what a beautiful place.

We have just got arrived home from this hell hole ! If you like Butlins/Haven holiday camps you will be at home here ,if you dont ,AVOID at all costs ,The rooms are VERY basic, ours was smelly and extremely noisy, We booked with CONSORT travel ,no where in the photos or listing does it mention this hotel is part of a large campsite, which is noisy from early morning until late in the night ,IF they had chose to share this bit of information with its clients we would never have booked,I complained as soon as we got home ,still no reply, the food was unedible unless you are of German decent, the British are not catered for ,we were spending 200 kuna a night eating out ,If it had not been for our excursions out this would have been the holiday from hell

  • Advice: Rabac itself is lovely ,very pretty place
  • Activities: Cres Island boat trip
  • Good For: Beach

I have just returned from a week at the Hedera Hotel. I went with a friend and was given a room with a window that overlooked a side road that was busy with cars. We asked to be moved and upgraded and were charged for this to a room with a sea view.
AC is only on floors 6 and 7 of bedrooms, as we were on the 5th floor it was very hot and difficult to sleep at night. The maid cleaning the room was okay., she did clean the room everyday however never knowing when she would be calling.
During the day people would put towels on sunbeds very early in the morning about 6 am and it was difficult to find a suitable sunbed if you did not. We tried to sit on the grass near the swimming pool as there were no sunbeds and told we were not allowed to do this.
We were offered tea between 4 and 5 pm everyday with a small piece of cake, it was degrading the way this was carried out. There was lots of choice of food at meal times, this was good.
I found the staff to not have many manners except for a few, which I was astonished for a hotel as large as this. If you decide to go in the summer make sure you have AC in your room, there is no fridge in the bedrooms to keep water cold.
I would not visit this hotel again, however Rabin was nice to stay at. Wonderful views and clean country.

Jun 2008, Mrs A. Callaway

..we recently returned from a walking holiday in Croatia, based at the Hotel Hedera, and were extremely happy with the whole experience. The hotel, though not the most beautiful building architecturally was certainly a good place to stay. Our room was very comfortable, with a wonderful view over the bay. There were two large outdoor swimming pools and outdoor activities, a large terrace which was a very pleasant place to meet up with friends in the evening. The food in the hotel which is buffet style both at breakfast and dinner was varied and very good.
The staff in the hotel were friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean and kept so by an army of women who appeared every morning and cleaned and tidied every room. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rabac.

Having just returned from the Hedera...

Having just returned from the Hedera hotel I will post this review while everything is fresh in my head.
The hotel itself was very clean and friendly the only downside I found to the room was the maids were not very thorough on the cleaning side, on returning from a very, very tiring day in Venice the tea which I must have spilt in the morning hadn’t been cleaned up and the beds were not made properly.
We were referred to by the other guests as the youngsters (that says a lot as I am 42) the only other complaint we had was a party of Italians who partied till 4am on Friday and Saturday which wasn’t very fair as most of the clientele was elderly.
Everything else was brilliant we couldn’t fault the food very good value for money. Although the 3 hotels were full it wasn’t noisy, we will be returning again next may, it was one of the best holidays I have had.

Well organised holiday, good...

Well organised holiday, good organised tours - Venice day particularly enjoyable. Lake Plitvice is a very long day out and tiring - be warned.
Hotel is one of 3 co joined in a complex - rooms fairly basic but everything was immaculately clean (as was the rest of the hotel) and hotel staff were helpful.
Would probably recommend that if your budget allows you have your evening meal in Rabac (only 5 minutes stroll away) as hotel food is adequate but not especially great.
Breakfast (buffet style) is good.
Locally employed Page & Moy reps were really pleasant & considerate. Considering this was a new tour - we went in only the second week of operation - everything was impressive.
Good value for money - we are going again in May 2006!

A clean and comfortable hotel (Hedera). With pleasant and helpful staff. During the two visits to this hotel there was one incident when some German boys stole clothes from the pool changing room, but other than that there where no security problems.
My wife and I had a nice quiet holiday in both May & Oct. The hotel provided a wide variation of food that was wholesome rather than stylish. Very good value for money.

Hotel Narcis is situated in a beautiful bay that is completely ruined by the size of the three 'sister' hotels and the 'tourist tat' that dominates the area. It is noisy both day and night and caters very much for families with large numbers of children.
Teenagers and anyone over the age of forty will hate it. The rooms at the Narcis overlook a camping and caravan site which is not the most aesthetically pleasing view I have experienced. Paying extra to have a room with a balcony is a complete waste of time as they are overlooked by three rooms from the floor above - an obvious design fault - there is no privacy whatsoever.
They do have a sea view , if you lean over the rail and look left. The food in the dining room is monotonous and tasteless which is exacerbated by the fact that the leftovers are recycled at every opportunity. Don’t ask for a cup of coffee after 10pm - you won’t get one! The one saving grace food -wise, was the cafe bar at the beach.
Use your evening meal vouchers here as it is much better value than at the Conca D'Oro - you will be able to have almost a full meal that has some taste rather than just a starter. Beware the thieves and pickpockets - you need eyes in the back of your head !!
Overall opinion - Butlins Croatian style !!!
