Villa Antea

Great View if you didn't look down at the construction site. Nice location, short bus to old town. Very Clean. Air conditioner worked well except you had to put your key card in the slot for air to work and you only got one key card per room which for us was problematic since there were five of you and we didn't always travel together. Receptionist was very nice but was only there from 2:00pm to 9PM and she wasn't too Knowledgeable about tourist info for Dubrovnik. NO INTERNET, even though the book in the room said it was available.

villa antea is about 7 mins in a taxi from old town dubrovnik. its in the babin kuk area lapad penninsula lovely location overlooking the mountains. we were a group of 6 [4 adults 2 kids} we had 1 apt consisting of a double bedroom another bwedroom with 2 singles and in the kitchen area a sturdy pull out double and single beds.it was spotless clean we had a great big terrace balcony area with tablr and 4 chairs. the kitchen had 2 ring cooker fridge kettle toaster, a table and chairs also had sat tv incl sky news. no phone the nearest was in... more

We found our apartment a bit cramped, and only one bedroom had aircon, but it did have a large balcony , with good views of bridge. However, looks like anothe r block will be built right in front of this soon. The best thing to do is just use this as a base for trips to Dubrovnik- with frequent buses very nearby. Also, another brilliant thing is the free use of swimming pool at nearby hotel- very large and clean. The copa cabana beach is also nearby, both about 20 minute walk. Good restaurants also not far away.

I booked a studio apartment for a week at the Villa Antea in June 2004 with my fiancee. We arrived around midnight as our flight was delayed. To our delight we found we had been upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment. We woke the following morning to birdsong and the most amazing views of the mountains, bays, islands and the new bridge at Gruz. We had a fab time at the Villa Antea. It was a very large Self Contained appartment. It was very modern. The bathroom had a shower , large double bed and small little kitchennette. It had a balcony with a stunning view onto the sea. The only problem is that there were building works below, but as we were out all day this did not bother us. The owner was very friendly. It is in the bay of Lapad - a bus takes you straight to Dubrovnik city centre - but there are also walks from the accommodation. It was excellent value for money (then... more
