Lovely little hotel.......
from WENDYWUK
Lovely little hotel which was kept sparkling clean in both public areas and the rooms. It was in a great location, only a couple of minutes to the main street but away from the hustle and bustle of the evening activities. The staff, in line with all the Turkish people we met were friendly and helpful. It was great having the free pool table and also lilo's etc in the beautifully warm pool. The breakfast was fine and we had a couple of meals there which were good also, but plenty more restaruants are on hand in Hisaronu The ONLY downside for us was the thumping music which was played from the poolside bar, even when no one was using the area, it could be heard in our rooms through the day and evening which meant we spent less time/money there than we normally would. It was turned down slightly when asked but crept back up a short time later.............bit of a shame.
Great Position

This was the second time I have travelled to Hisaronu, the first being 13 years ago. At first sight, arriving at 5am nothing seemed to have changed. My first walk down the main road next morning revealed a different story. This resort formally known as Olu Ata now boasts plenty of Bars Restaurants and various eateries. The charm of being a small resort has now gone but don't let that put you off. I had Two weeks at the ST Nicholas Grove Hotel on a BB basis with my son, this property is aprox four years old but still a great base for a Holiday. Breakfast was Ok as were Bar prices. Location is about 10 Mins walk into the thick of Hisaronu so no noise at night ,staff all ok and can not do enough to help. You are also 15 Mins away from Oludeniz to the South which has one of the nicest looking beaches in Turkey. So go now, pre Euro.
Great Staff, Super Hotel - Fabulous Holiday!
from mogmad
We had a great holiday at this Hotel, mainly due to the wonderful staff (Kemal, Emrah, Zeren, Hussain etc etc.), and the smooth running by the very good manager and his lovely wife. We had some problems at the start and end of our holiday caused entirely by Vision Holidays (book with them at your peril..) But the management really helped us to try and rectify these problems. We were supposed to stay at a different Hotel and only found out at the Airport that our Hotel had changed, we were worried about what we were going to get - but after a couple of days we realised that we had struck lucky. The Hotel was well run, well kept (great maid service) and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It is in a great location, being 2 minutes walk to the restaurants and bars but still in quite a rural setting. We had some great laughs and met some really nice people. Hopefully we will be returning next year to catch up with everyone. TESSEKUR EDERIM! Bob & Jill
Fab hotel and lovely staff!

I came back from holiday yesterday after staying at the St Nicholas Grove hotel! I didn't really know what to expect as i've never been to turkey before, but i must say it was one of the best holidays me and my fiance have had! We booked it last minute so never really expected much but it was fab! The hotel is so nice, really clean and the staff are so friendly, they all know your names after the first day and will do anything to make your holiday the best! The St Nicholas group has its own private beach in the lagoon in olu deniz and there is a free shuttle service there and back! The beach manager is also lovely and welcoming! There is so much to do i only wish we went for 2 weeks instead of 1! I would recommend the turkish night at the nicholas park hotel, the beach party at Nicholas beach and the day boat trip! The food is also excellant and good value! I would totally recommend turkey especially St Nicholas grove!! We're already planning when to return and made so many new friends and met so many nice people! Its a must!
Spotlessly clean hotel
from ClaireB1982
Just returned from a week long stay at the St. Nicholas Grove. Was our first trip to the area and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was extremely clean, with rooms cleaned and towels changed daily. Staff were very friendly also. St. Nicholas Grove also has its own private beach at the famous Blue Lagoon in Olu Deniz with free bus transfer service, which was a real bonus! The only downside was that sometimes the music around the pool was too loud and not all that great - and was often played loudly until 10.30 / 11pm at night. Overall all though, it was a great place to spend a relaxing week!
What a wonderful, welcoming place to stay

I have just arrived back from one week staying in Hisaronu at the Nicholas Grove hotel. I travelled alone and can not praise the staff of the hotel highly enough for how they looked after me. Everyone soon remembered my name and treated me with such kindness. The two young men who ran the bar where particularly nice Hussain and Kemal & entertained me wth their antics on a daily basis. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well managed. I will definately be returning. If you are interested in jewellery (what woman is'nt) I can also recommend Tria Jewellery on the high street in Oludeniz. Ask for Zeki should you go in, he designed and made me the most beautiful ring at a very reasonable price. No hard sell either!
A hidden gem in bustling Hisaronu

My girlfriend and I booked up a cheap two week break in September 2006, choosing this hotel as it was one of the cheapest. As such we expected the worst., however we were shocked to find that although St. Nicholas Grove is perfect. The hotel, restaurant and bar are well staffed and although I apreciate that these staff can change year on year, the people we had were brilliant. I even sparked a great friendship with a young lad behind the bar who could speak next to no English and so we comunicated using football. The hotel is set nicely out of the way, but only two minutes so, meaning you have the town on your doorstep but you can also escape it if you want to. The beautiful Olu deniz lagoon is also only a five minute bus ride down the mountain and I mean beautiful. I've travelled all over the World and in terms of value for money this comes out tops. I really cannot reccomend this hotel enough, dont expect five star luxury but for the price you pay theres no beating it. Perfect.
Absolutely Fantastic!

We had a lovely week at this hotel in August. It is well kept, absolutely spotless as well as quiet and realxing! What more can I say. The rooms are very nice and well serviced- even a decent bathroom (in Turkey!!). The staff in the hotel and bar/restaurant were great fun and the service was 1st class. Hisaronu is a quieter resort in Turkey but is by far the nicest part of Turkey we have visited. There are lively bars and discos bars as well as quieter restaurants and bars. Plenty to keep you busy for a week or more! You must do the jeep safari- it is fab! We will definitely be going back next year! Maybe see you there!
Excellent!

I have been to this village for the past 5 years, making 6 visits in total. My 1st stay @ this hotel however. My friend & I had a fabulous relaxing week here. It was quiet & peaceful, the food is excellent hence we dined in several evenings & always had lunch on the terrace. The staff are excellent!!! too. The pool is lovely & never crowded so you can float & tan all day [& we did just that] We found our room spacious very, very clean. The cleaning ladies are lovely & presented our night dresses in all sorts of lovely shapes on the bed. Even flower petals spinkled over. Beautiful! They well deserve a tip for how hard they work. {bless you ladies} We couldnt fault it.
Loved the St. Nicholas Grove.

Stayed at this hotel in May/June 2005. Scenery is absolutely beautiful. Grounds are well-kept and peaceful. Manager and staff extremely nice and food beautiful. Rooms are modern and bathroom better than those we have usually had in Turkey. It is so peaceful, it is hard to believe that it is so close to the nightlife. Once you leave the hotel grounds it is only about 3 or 4 minutes to the main street. The hotel is part of the St. Nicholas group and you can use the 2 bigger hotels. This hotel is the smallest of the 3. It is also the quietest. If you prefer more boisterous surroundings, try the St. Nicholas Gardens. We found it too noisy at night, though very nice otherwise. These hotels also provide a free bus twice a day to the beach at Olu Deniz. We have been to Hisaronu 3 times and love the place. Try El Nino restaurant at the other end of the main street. The food is wonderful, also reasonably priced. The owner will make you more than welcome again and again. Can't wait to go back.
When we arrived we thought it was a very cute hotel. It was lovely and clean and the woman at the reception was very nice. Sadly the holiday went down hill after that as one of the waiters who was called shaggy had been harassing people. He made one family and a young... more
