A fantastic place to stay! Great place to be next to the slopes for skiing - with good snow too. We had a place overlooking the slopes themselves, which had a little balcony and great views down the valley and over the nursery slopes.
The quality of the accommodation really was exceptional. Everything worked well, the furniture, fittings and bedding was of high quality, with comfy beds, sofas and cosy fireplace. Lots of timber and stone. Very good housekeeping too, with good service.
The place was a ski-in ski-out type of accommodation, which meant there were no delays in getting on the slopes in the morning. And the rest of the resort was great, with few lift queues, very friendly staff and lots of runs for skiers and snowboarders. A good creche too.
Room-only was fine. There are some great restaurants on the mountain and also downtown (historic Fernie worth a visit). Also, there's a good little shop in the resort for buying all sorts of foods, including fresh. Our room had a proper kitchen in it with oven, cooker, microwave and dishwasher!
Oh, and I nearly forgot the best bit - the outdoor hot tubs! Two of them, nice and big. So we could sit outside in the freezing cold at night, looking at the stars and with the snow falling! A swimming pool too. Ah, bliss...!
I want to go again! 10 out of 10, no doubt.
