Excellent holiday all, round. Our room was only two star but it was a good size with its own bathroom, and was clean and tidy.

The food and facilities at the hotel were very good. There was a good selection on offer at both breakfast and dinner including local and more western European cuisine. I am on a restricted gluten-free diet and still had no problems selecting something to eat.

I was a bit concerned before the holiday as it said that the pool was sea-water but it and all the surrounding coastline was pristine.

The area had stunning scenery and provided lots to do, so much in fact we have already planned another trip to fit in everything we didn’t do this time. Most recommended trip of the holiday would be the day-trip to Mostar -a long coach trip but well worth the effort.

All the hotel staff and local people we met were very friendly and happy to help. Almost without exception, they spoke perfect English though the area was still most definitely ‘Croatian’. Their sense of national pride and enthusiasm to show off their country was very pleasing.

I think the only thing we would do differently when we go again is we wont go in July. The Dubrovnik festival is held in July and though this apparently a wonderful sceptical, you have to be a serious ‘sun-worshipper’ to stand the heat which for me was a bit too much. Still, a beautiful holiday, which I can’t, wait to repeat.

Hotel is a 3*, but there is a renovated 4* annex just outside the main building, where we stayed. it was great place to stay nice and clean room, bathroom, cleaning service every day.
We saw the rooms in the main 3* building and they were also in very good condition despite not being renovated yet.
FOOD- very good choice of food for breakfast as well as for dinner. mixed Croatian and western cuisine. everyone would be able to choose.
Very good location. In a quite area with few hotels around, hidden from the outside world, despite being in the middle of the city. With the lovely beach just 2 minutes walking away , also there were few restaurants and cafés nearby.
Hotel is just 5 minutes walking away from local bus stop and there are frequent buses which take you to the old town of Dubrovnik. only a short drive.
Not really good if you are looking for busy night-life, not many clubs.
I've heard it gets really busy during July and August, really overcrowded, but think that September is the best time to go.
