Kristall Hotel

Anyone booking here will probably know it is not the best hotel in Mayerhofen. However the rooms are clean enough and quite spacious, with a functional bathroom.
The staff were friendly and the food was alright, but I admit I will eat most things, my wife is not so easily pleased.
The biggest problem with this hotel is location. It is the last hotel (or first depending which way you are going) in Mayerhofen. You are first to be dropped off from the airport but it is a fair old distance from the town centre and even further from the lifts.
If you are not one for ski buses be prepared for a good 10/15 min walk to the lift uphill.
There are still plenty of bars and restaurants around this hotel if you require them, as Mayerhofen really is a town not a village.
Skiing was excellent but there were big queues to get up and down in the Penken lift, which is really about your only option everyday.
