My wife and I were happy with the hotel, the room, the service and the food but we only stayed one night because all their pools were too deep for us. They were between 5 and 6 foot deep throughout with no shallow ends and it would not have been possible to stand up in... more

We booked a last minute break. The reception staff were polite and helpful on arrival. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The restaurant offered a huge choice on a buffet style of service - some items cooked fresh to order. Our very difficult to please 17 year old... more

When my girlfriend and I arrived at the hotel, we were given our room key and we went to our room. We were informed that our room was on the ground floor, although we requested a top floor sea view room and booked months in advance. We were tired so just accepted it.... more

The only reason I don’t give this hotel full 10 is the check-in. It was chaotic, slow and they couldn’t find our booking. Eventually we were given a fantastic room on the top floor, with a sea and pool view and newly refurbished to a very high standard. It was very... more

Very good value holiday via BA flights. Hotel accommodation good quality, clean and spacious. Clean en-suites with bath, shower-over, basin, loo and bidet. Watch out for the dinky skiddy bath mat though, a non-slip one should be provided. Variety of food on offer in the... more

Staff quite friendly, although we were levied a surcharge for a pool view. Rooms adequate and spacious, around the pool excellent. Location is away from the commercial world but in an ideal position alongside the sea front, a pleasant walk along a neat and tidy promenade... more

This is a fantastic hotel situated on the outskirts of Costa Adeje in La Caleta. This hotel is great for anyone seeking a relaxing holiday in the sun and is fairly quiet with mainly families and couples staying here. The gardens and pool are well maintained and the hotel... more

Loved it and would go back in a minute
Just back after enjoying a wonderful week's holiday. No complaints at all. Rooms are not overly spacious but fine for two and even for us with one child. The only complaint we had about the room was the shower - beware - it quickly goes from hot to cold without any warning. We never tired of the food it was delicious. The rum and raisin ice cream is to die for. My daughter who is 10 tried all sorts of things she would never dream of eating at home and enjoyed all of them. The location of the hotel is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing holiday and you can walk along the promenade to the busier areas or take the bus or taxi. We did the whale and dolphin trip which was very special. There is a two hour or a three hour trip - take the two hour as it was a bit choppy the day we went and a lot of people on the boat felt a bit sea sick.
Good relaxing holiday - shame about the tired hotel.
You only have to venture into the 5 star Sheraton Hotel next door (and ask to see a room if you can) to realise that this hotel comes no where near a true 4 star rating (4 star plus in the Thomas Cook Select brochure!). We thought its best days were long gone. The hotel and the management (especially the reception) can be summed up in just one word - TIRED. We had a lovely holiday - don't get us wrong - but that was largely due to the fabulous weather and several good books. We needed 2 room changes - 1st (room 417) on arrival because the sheets were stained and windows filthy, the 2nd (room 410) the following day as the noise from the bottle bank below and the 2am collections. Once we switched to the other side of the hotel we were much happier (room 476). There was minimal noise from the building site immediately in front of the hotel (a mechanical digger with its rock breaking tool attached), however, the rock dump immediately adjacent to the hotel could be savoured whilst relaxing around the pool area!. Bottled water in the hotel comes at a premium - however, there are a couple of small supermercados within 10 mins walk. There is also a nice beach bar 5 mins away where you can watch the sunset each evening. Buffet food was slightly above average, but largely unvaried (despite having theme nights). Evening entertainment was the usual mix of Cabaret acts loved mostly by the largely German hotel guests. One tip is to get to the buffets early - especially at the weekend when the hotel has a large influx of hungry Spanish families - we were surprised to have to queue to get into the restaurant on our last night - as were most of the other hotel residents.
Nice friendly hotel
Have just returned from a relaxing week at this hotel. All building work has now finished on the new hotel next door. Staff were friendly and the rooms clean and tidy. Yes the hotel is at the end of Costa Adeje but that is an advantage if you are looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Las Americas. Also the Hotel is only a short walk away from La Caleta which has some nice restaurants on the front.
A very pleasant hotel
My wife and I recently spent a week at this hotel. The location is at the very edge of Costa Adeje and is about 25 minutes walk from Playa de las Americas. We found the staff at this hotel very friendly and helpful. THe room service was 100%. There is some construction work in progress at the west side of the hotel, where we were roomed, but did not cause us any major disturbance. The pool area is spacious and uncluttered. Towels and mattresses are supplied. There was a large variety of food on offer but we found it better if you were eating at the start of the sitting. We would have no hesitation in booking this hotel in the future.
it is a very good hotel
We've just got back from our trip to Tenerife mid-April. I was a bit scared before leaving, when I've read all this feedback. However, we feel (and we already visited a lot of hotels) that this is one of the better hotels. Luxurious hotel: well cleaned and maintained. Friendly staff (when you complain, stay civile, and they will help you as much as possible): especially in the restaurants!!! The food is very good: lots of choice, everything warm as it should be, fresh show cooking,... Of course, when you take every evening a bit/lot of everything then everything will taste the same after a few days. (some people think that a war is going on and they need to eat for the coming weeks/years/...). For a buffet (because it is only a buffet), was it very good! Great swimming pools: jaccuzi, baby pool (was too small maybe for all the children in the hotel, but we had a floater, so we could go with our baby into the deep pool), 2 deep pools (1m80! -> which you don't find very often, but of course for people that can't swim, this is an disadvantage) and 1 normal pool. Lots of sunbeds: you are not supposed to reserve, but everyone does: so, if you really want a good place at the pools, just reserver before 10AM. Also, because there are a lot of sunbeds broken (minor point). About the activities during the day, I cannot help because not known. We just booked this hotel about the GOOD location: a bit more quite in a relaxing/fairy tale environment (especially in the evening). It's a 45 min. nice walk to Playa Las Americas and about 2hours to Los Christianos, but you can always take the hotel shuttle or taxi. We would recommend this hotel to friends. Hope this was helpfull,
Dissapointed with location
Hotel is located at furthest end of the Costa Adeje hotel strip, with no local facilities, such as shops, bars etc. They offer a free bus service into the centre of Playa de Las Americas, otherwise you are reliant on taxis. Hotel built on standard E pattern, reception, bars, dining, entertainment all placed in centre horizontal and rooms all around the other horizontals and vertical (pool side and outside views). Standard rooms are on outside with so called side sea views from balcony. If the balconies had been built at 45 degree angle it would not have been too bad, but they are at 90 degrees and the outside views are either overlooking the next door hotel, a terracotta coloured prison like building or a derelict site (presumably for next hotel to be built). Also the hotel is built on the side of a cliff with the foyer at level 3 and the pool area level 1 and with nearly 500 rooms, there are only six small lifts, of which two were out of order for part of our stay. From the rear of the hotel (sea side) there is a promenade with stretches all the way to Playa de Las Americas about 5km away. The pools are good and clean and there is an indoor pool as well. Plenty of room for sun beds in the grounds and the restaurant/Bar open for lunch/drinks was priced reasonably and service good even though the hotel was full. Buffet food for breakfast and dinner was OK as were staff who were friendly and helpful. These four star hotels all seem to operate to a similar pattern. We have stayed at Princess hotels and I feel that they have an edge in this type of operation. I feel that the location is the problem.
Winter sun break
It is an enormous barn of a place which tries to be 4 star but somehow fails in lots of niggly ways. We moved from one gloomy room to another, neither of which got the sun, but were told that the better rooms are more expensive. Cutlery and glasses don't quite get washed properly, bathroom fittings look tired, you have to queue for dinner in the restaurant unless you want to be squashed into a corner, and the pools aren't warm enough for enjoyable swimming. Children seem well catered for, although we never seemed to find the evening entertainment, except for the keyboard vocalist who was nice and relaxing in the bar after dinner. You need to be reasonably fit to get around the resort because it is quite hilly although taxis aren't too expensive. We have stayed at the H10 Andalucia Plaza in Marbella and liked it, but this one, although newer, didn't quite hit the same spot.
massive
costa adeje palace is huge, palace it may be, but it really is massive. the food is varied but they obviously disguise last nights left overs every other night. staff are incredibly friendly and speak amazing english, german, french, italian and spanish of course. pools are good, but hard to do lengths if you want to. jacuzzi is great! rooms are clean and tidy and spacious. shame about the building work all around, but to be fair, in tenerife, at the moment you cant get away from the building work! good holiday though, only went for a week, but wouldnt stay any longer.
good but could be better
nice, quiet and clean, but too big ; many families with young children near the swimming pool ; too many broken parasols in the garden ; food is rather poor (every evening the same "show cooking") ; fruits are not fresh (canned pears, pineapple, apricot !) H10 Timanfaya Palace (Lanzarote) and Estepona Palace (Costa del Sol) are much better
Hated this hotel
On Arrival, WAS NOT GIVEN BOOKED room. Poor entertainment and worse management. In the middle of nowhere. Completely unsecured and terrible for anyone with a family. Pools were too deep, Entertainers had no enthusiasm and overall the general impression of the hotel was a poor on. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYBODY UNDER 60 YEARS OLD.
