My family have been going to this hotel for many years, since the 1950's. The hotel is modern, family orientated and the food is fantastic.
Breakfast consists of a buffet breakfast; cereal, toast, roll’s bacon eggs, cheese and ham, spreads of any choice, fruit, fresh juice. Hot drinks – tea, coffee and many speciality teas and fruit drinks. After a day on the slopes you come in for afternoon tea, which usually consists of pizza, frankfurters, pasta etc. cakes and cold drinks. This is all included in the price. Evening meal – Wow, again this is fantastic. Buffet style starters which consist of salads of all kinds, soup rolls etc. Main meal (which you chose at breakfast time). Pudding: cakes, fruit, ice cream - you name it.
The hotel has a gym and swimming pool with saunas etc. all included in the price.
Rooms - modern and spacious.
This family run hotel is wonderful. Happy, clean, friendly, you name it. You would never get me in a Thompson’s Hotel after my stay here. The Wastlhof Hotel proves there is so much value to your money. Not many British people use the hotel and I feel that it hasn’t been discovered yet. Everyone you meet here is of a different Nationality, they are all friendly. With having a young family of two children, aged 4 and 7, this is an ideal hotel if you are skiing all day.
The hotel also have a deal with local ski schools and equipment hire, which you get cheaper if you book through them, which you can also do when you get there.
When talking to Thompson’s customers they are charged a premium rate for equipment hire, don’t go with them as you can get it much cheaper going direct with suppliers which is in the town.
