5 of us stayed here from 30th may 2011 til the 6th june 2011. the food is fantastic, the rooms spotless and cleaned very regularly, staff are exceptionally helpful and friendlly and the location is very centeral. the only snag i would say it that the entertainment is a bit naff (no acts hired in, all acts were formed by entertainment staff). would return without a doubt! lovely area, 2 beautiful beaches within a 3 min walk.

just back from santa eulalia, orquidea aparthotel oct 2010,my husband ,myself and two kids aged 10 and 4....we had an absolutely brilliant time there, would well recommend it to others.we went all inclusive, plenty good food to eat all day long,a wide selection, plenty drinks and ices for kids.had no complaints whatsoever!staff were friendly and suffient.we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, which was clean modern and comfortable.we were given the side of hotel(with a lovely view) to upgrade to pool view would be an additional 20 euros per day,we decided to just remain where we were.entertainment was 1 guy, whom had an amazing personality and mixed with all residents and involved everyone.he(pico)was fantastic with the kids.he also spoke very good english.there was lots to do day and night which kept the kids busy n having fun.pico made us smile and laugh and made our stay there very happy and full of fun.delighted with that!there was a fair sized pool which kids pool attached, plenty sun bathing loungers.the beach was a few steps outside the hotel grounds.one quiet beach and along the promenade a larger busier beach,we tried both beaches.beaches were clean and maintained each day.santa eulalia has a beautiful atmosphere relaxed and quieter, slower pace and yet refreshing.it has plenty of lovely shops few minutes walk, great selection for everyone and their tastes.cafes and bars are many.on the wednesday we took a trip to es cana hippy market, what an experience....we loved it,kids were excited had a great time there, market stalls a plenty.
overall had a fantastic time in orquidea, santa eulalia,ibiza......would highly recommend it!!!!!

I booked up a 4 day break with Ibiza Spotlight in the Orquidea. We had booked a studio but for 3 euros a night we got an upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment with fantastic sea and promenade views. The room was a good size and the complex was very clean and friendly.
This is the second time we have stayed in Santa Eulalia and it is by far the most charming resort on the Island.
I have stayed in the past in San Antonio Bay, Port de Torrent and Figueretas but this resort is by far the nicest. The central location of the apartments was ideal for the beach and restaurants.
I will be back next year.

I have just come back from the Orquidea. Very very clean, lovely staff, fantastic location. Rooms a bit dated but lovely and clean. Really enjoyed the hotel, the location, the holiday was great. Just one thing is that at night time the entertainment is a little loud and not in English, just German and Spanish but it finishes at12. We went all inclusive and were not disappointed, food was always fresh out and there is plenty of choice for adults and kids alike. I would definately re-book.

I have just come back from the Orquidea and I have a few complaints. Saying that, I have many positive points too about our holiday but unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives. This is without doubt the noisiest place I have ever stayed. The coming and going of people through the night from midnight to breakfast time is completely draining. We didn't have one proper sleep in 2 weeks and we came home miserable and exhausted vowing never to go back. It completely ruined our holiday which we had saved long and hard to pay for. It was impossible to sleep due to arrivals in the early hours, youngsters coming in and out and several parties. There were also the inconsiderate guests who ran up and down the corridors at all hours screaming and shouting.
Our first night there we ate at the famous "Mels" and we all (myself, my husband and 2 kids (6yrs and 3yrs)) had food poisoning. The food was poor quality to say the least, expensive and the service terrible. We weren't the only ones who had problems because talking to others around the pool during our stay, not one of them had a nice meal there and several were also ill. Avoid that one!
The rooms are tiny and very basic. There is one plug which is behind the fridge near the floor so you have to move it everytime you want to plug something in. Beware if you "upgrade" to a pool view room because they jet wash the furniture and pool area at around 5.30am most mornings and not one bed is spare by 6.30am. Due to the position of the apartments, it is used not only by people staying there but by anyone who happens to walk past and fancies the look of it.
The positives are Joe Joe the resident entertainer (who worked constantly whilst we were there to get everyone involved in the activities and was great with the kids), the pool, although packed was really nice, the reception staff very helpful (unlike our rep) and it's position on the promanade was excellent.
A word of warning though. We haven't been abroad for a couple of years and the cost of basic eating and drinking shocked us. A meal for 4 (2 kids, 2 adults) without wine came to 70+ euros, with wine 90+. It was expensive to eat in too as the little supermarkets nearby aren't cheap either.
All that said, it was wonderful to watch our kids playing in the pool, learning to swim and joining in with the mini disco every night.
I'm sure this isn't the worst place to stay in the resort but take ear plugs and you'll be fine. We won't be going back to these apartments but we may go back to the resort one day once we've recovered from this one!

I have just returned from santa eulalia with my husband, daughter, son-in-law and their 11 month baby. My husband and I had been there before and had a fantastic holiday. That is why we suggested going back. The resort is still as lovely as ever, very safe for children as the main promanade is traffic free. There is a lovely relaxed feeling, no yobs ! If you want a good english breakfast go to Mel's on the sea front open from 9.00am, you will get plenty to eat at a good price, good friendly service. The worst meal we had was at Pinos situated at the rear entrance of the hotel to the right, food not good, and quite grubby. The restaurants down by the Marina are worth a visit and not too expensive. The hotel Orquidea is still nice but is mainly German now, you need to start queing for a sunbed at 8.50am to stand a chance of getting one. The pool is nice, very clean, a bit on the small side but sufficient. The bar staff are very nice as are all the staff in the hotel. Bar snacks are available by the pool, the pizza is particularly good. The rooms are fairly basic, no kettle or hairdryer but they are clean and air conditioned. If you walk down towards the Marina, you can get a boat trip to Es cana which is more lively and has a hippy market on a Wednesday, however watch the children with the roads, its much busier (return trip 18 euros) there are also other boat trips available.
On the whole we have a great holiday, didn't want to come home.
We booked through first choice and unfortunately flew with Air Europa. Although the actual flight was ok, we pre-ordered inflight food - on the way there we got the food about 30 minutes before landing, it was cold and had to be sent back, we it was re-served it was luke warm - the staff onboard, although pleasant were totally inefficient. On our journey home the cabin crew were even worse, we eventually got our food as the plane started to decend and that was only because we reminded them that we had not been fed (no drink either) this time the food was hot enough but within a few minutes of starting to eat, it was taken away from me because we were coming in to land - so it was a complete waste of money and we all went hungry (and thirsty).

just returned, this is our second visit here and it was as good as the last, really clean accommodation, lovely staff, especially the bar maid in the inside bar and the spanish version of Bruce Willis. Love the place and the hotel but not sure if we can afford next year with all the price inccreases, hope so but Ibiza is getting really pricey, with the exchange rate difference it is very high, may be it would be better to get half board.

The hotel was in a great location and very clean. It looked out onto the beach and was near some great restaurants and cafes. I would recommend the 'Balti House', 'La Rambla' and 'Mezzante'. They provided great vegetarian and gluten free dishes for myself and my family.
The apartments were away from noisy nightlife and had good entertainmant programmes for people interested in staying within the resort.
First Choice were the travel operator, they were good and answered most of our questions. The only thing what could of improved was the reception area as the games area made it noisy and un-relaxing to others.
