We enjoyed our holiday at Algarve Mor Appartments, rooms where kept neat and tidy with daily maid service.Excellant views of beach and Harbour entrance from balcony, only a few minutes walk to beach.Eating out in this quite part of the town posed no problems all cafe's & restraraunts were up to a high standard in quality and service.Visiting other parts of the Algarve was'nt a problem as Local bus service ran every 15 minutes into Portimao, from there you could get transport all the surrounding sights

Just returned home after a fabulous week staying in the Algarve Mor apartments in Praia Da Rocha.
First class accommodation, very spacious apartment, separate bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. The apartment was cleaned every day and was spotless, the view was excellent, and all the reception staff were very friendly.
I was really pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Very spacious and clean apartments. I have to disagree with other comments about the insect detectors - they are fire alarm sensors and have no effect on any insects!
I think the only downside is the lack of air conditioning. The bedrooms get very warm at night. Opening the windows could sometimes lead to whiffs of 'drainage' smells.
Staff very pleasant and helpful.
I agree with comments on the small supermarket underneath the apartments. It's a complete rip-off. Prices are about double that in the other supermarkets. There are two 'Alisuper' shops within about half a mile or so. Use these and save money.
I was unimpressed with any of the Irish bars. Poor quality drinks and filthy toilets - given that, I certainly would not want to eat in them. Stick to a Portuguese run outlet. We were recommended to use the 'Safari' restaurant on our first night. It was so good with Portuguese and Angolan style food. If you take the bread/pate/olives provided, you don't need a starter, simply a main course. Some warning needed on their Lamb Stew - it's incredibly hot with whole chilies. We used this restaurant for all 7 nights as each meal was superb with fast, efficient service and a good wine list. Expect to pay around €40 - €45 for cover charge, 2 x mains, water and a decent bottle of wine.

Excellent location, only 4 or 5 mins walk from main strip. A little disappointed with pool size. Rooms very spacious and clean with daily cleaning. A pool bar would have been a great asset! Friendly staff at reception always welcoming and willing to help.
Entertainment on street directly outside the complex (almost nightly) was sometimes a little too loud which meant we could not always listen to our own choice of music.
Excellent location and will definitely be visiting again soon!

Algarve Mor Apartments are great.
The apartment we had was large, very clean, and tidy and the Staff were helpful.
We have visited Praia Da Rocha a couple of times and these were by far the best apartments we have stayed in.
Only drawback is that the pool is very small, but with the beach so close it wasn't a problem for us.

Just visited the Algarve Mor in Praia da Rocha.
Apartments were excellent, very clean with new towels every day if needed.
No kids pool but were expecting that. Only problem was rooms were not ready for a number of people on arrival and some were left including myself in reception for a couple of hours, can’t be helped but hard going with young kids when they are tired from an early start for the flight.
Resort is good for families have been there a few times before, but they are digging up the main strip on beach front and causing a lot of problems for people with buggies especially.
Can’t say enough about how friendly the workers and locals in the resort are, especially to children it helps so much to keep them quiet, in restaurants especially.
Would recommend Praia da Rocha for families who want a quiet holiday, may not be suitable for younger holiday makers looking for lively resort it is limited to Irish bars for entertainment, they are good but disco bars are limited.
Zoo marine a good day out for all and recommend Squash restaurant for food and service excellent. Dolce Vita is also very good just across from the Algarve casino hotel.

Having stayed in Praia da Vau for 9 nine years and then going to US last year, we returned to Praia da Rocha and decided to try the Algarve Mor apartments. They are so excellent I am a bit loathe to tell people about them.
Maid service every day for the 9 days we were there. Modern, spacious apartment with adequate pool, but as is literally only 5 mins from beach no need to worry about getting sunbeds by pool.
Praia da Rocha has changed so much in 2 years. Boardwalks along beach make it very accessible as are steps leading to beach. There are lots of new restaurants and toilets all along the beach at very completive prices. There are several new bars, but I have to say that almost all of them are Irish. Wonderful full Irish breakfasts at Irelands Eye and Croke Park (6 euro). Most of people in Praia da Rocha were Irish or Scottish - very few English.
This was best holiday in years, and am planning to return in June and September next year.

We have just returned from a fab holiday here. The apartments are spotless and a good size.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with our 14 year old daughter, there was a bed made up for her in the living area and still plenty of room to spare. We had a great view from our balcony of the pool and beach. We had our choice of sun beds by the pool. The restaurant across from the apartments was lovely and the locals eat there. On the strip if you turn left a few yards down is the grand cafe which is great for snacks and drinks.
For a great breakfast with free tea and coffee refills Dinas place is worth looking out for. Will definitely be returning here and would recommend these apartments for the locality and cleanliness.

When we arrived in our apartment we were shocked to see how well equipped it was. Our apartment had one large bedroom with fitted wardrobes with full length mirrors, which led, onto a balcony. It also had a table and chair with another mirror. The living area was very spacious and the settee was extremely comfy and could easily be slept on. This room also had a TV and lots of space for packing luggage away. It also led onto the balcony, which had sun chairs and a table.
The kitchen was also spacious with four ring stove and microwave and kettle etc...This kitchen also led out onto another small balcony where there was a washing line. Each of the rooms has an insect detector on the ceiling and not one insect came into our apartment for the duration of our trip.
The apartments are spotless and cleaned daily by the friendly cleaners. They will also change towels daily if left hanging up on the back of the door.
The only downside was that the pool is relatively small and does not have a kid’s section so the property is probably not great for non swimmers and very small children although there were a few children happily playing in the pool with armbands. The staff were very helpful and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet apartment block right on the beach and not even 5 minutes walk to the busy strip of restaurants and bars.
We went to slide and splash which is the main water park and it looked very impressive but the queues for each slide was about 20 minutes long so this put a bit of a dampener on our day even though we had fun in the very large pool.
The food was excellent in Praia da Rocha-our favourite was definitely THE SITTING BULL restaurant above the CENTRAL RESTAURANT both on the main strip to the right of the apartments. Sitting Bull focuses on Steaks and spare ribs etc. A meal with one starter, two(HUGE)steaks and chips, two big deserts cost e30.This price also included three soft drinks! Central restaurant was also very nice but beware of the chicken Piri Piri here as it is extremely spicy! Had to drink four waters with my meal to cool me down! Le Dolce Vita, which is only three doors down from the apartments, was also great for pasta and pizza dishes. Their crepes are to die for! Also worked out at around e30 for starter,2 mains and desserts and drinks.
A lot of people say that the TITANIC is the best restaurant in the area but we had MAJOR problems with service here. The lady in reception on our apartment booked a table for us at 8.30pm. When we arrived we were told by an extremely rude waiter to wait in the bar for five minutes while our table was prepared. There were also around 16 other people ahead of us already waiting on a table. We ordered two mineral waters and 40 minutes later we were still left waiting for a table. We spoke to the barman and the rude headwaiter came out and clicked his fingers and motioned us to follow him. He rushed ahead and when we sat down he asked us did we want drinks and before we had time to answer he said ‘oh no, sure you had some drinks in the bar already’ and he walked off. I called him back and told him that we had been waiting 40 minutes for our table and we now wanted another drink. He grunted at us and walked away. we then decided that we were not going to pay for a meal in an establishment that treats its customers so badly and left. It was a very busy night in this restaurant but they should have told us that there would be a delay when they accepted our booking. The food is meant to be lovely here but the service left a lot to be desired.
Apart from this incident our holiday was wonderful and we are only home a day and are booking the same place for our holiday next year!

Stayed in these apartments in July with my wife. They are in a great position directly across the road from the beach and a few hundred yards from the main strip of bars, restaurants etc. They were well equipped and spacious, clean towels were provided every 2 days. BUT... no airconditioning made it extremely uncomfortable at night and there were no fans available for rent at reception, which is very surprising. The pool which is small and circular has no childrens' section and the lowest part is 1.5 metres deep which in my opinion makes it hazardous for young children or indeed adults who cant swim. We were being collected at 4pm for our flight home, so having to vacate the room at 12 noon meant bags had to be left in special area off reception, which I know is standard procedure. The night before we finished up I asked guy at reception about a courtesy room to shower in as we didnt want to sit around from 12 noon till 4pm. The first guy told me I'd have to shower using the pool shower which is next to useless. I decided to wait till next morning and asked the girl who was on reception and she provided a courtesy room so that my wife and I could shower, which mean't we could sunbathe at pool for an extra few hours before we were picked up. Its a pity that they couldnt sort this courtesy room availability out. This was our first time in Portugal and we really enjoyed it, especially the beach club at the marina end of Praia de Rocha where we spent 4 days of our holiday, I would recommend this beach club to anyone going there as it only costs 5euro a day which includes complimentary drink, it has a great seawater pool and a big kiddies paddling pool, a bar and restaurant.
