Submitted By: Mrs K SyaneIt's a great place for families- very quiet.
We would not recommend this part of Tenerife if you feel like spending your time on the beach- the hotel is located close to the marina, the beach is very small; it's more convenient to stay at the pool.
No night life, the place is dead after 9pm

Submitted By: Mrs L ChittockThis is the first time we have been all inclusive, would definately do it again, so nice not to have to worry about money. Plenty of food, cold drinks, hot drinks etc. with the added bonus of a Saga lounge with newspapers every day. The rest of the hotel staff were very helpful with the exception of one receptionist who we think was a little aloof but professional in her job.
The only problems we found were that the food was not always very hot and the entertainment in the evenings was very poor. Apart from those two points it was thoroughly enjoyable.
We were shown the new apartments which very modern and tastefully furnished. Would have no hesitation in returning to the hotel or apartments.

Submitted By: Miss R ThompsonWe travelled with my four year old son and I am four months pregnant so I must admit I was concerned about food before we went as some of the reviews were poor, however we found the food to be more than acceptable for the price we had paid and thought the wide selection meant there was always something for everyone. It could have been a bit hotter and yes some of the meat was a bit overcooked but on the whole this is just being picky, we paid around £350.00 for a week’s half board in a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, the view is amazing and the whole experience was far superior than the whole los Cristianos / playa Americas thing.
Excellent time had by us all.

Only downers were the poor entertainment, very small bar area and bizarre card system.
But all in all great.

Submitted By: Other M A FallowsIts the worst hotel I've ever been to. Cooked meat that was raw. Entertainment was in French and was really bad. Building work going on.
The hotel is split 60% French, 25% Saga Holiday people and 15% English. If you like the sound of that then go.

Submitted By: Mr M WollinaNow the reason for the low score, we had to eat our lunch and dinner at the main hotel complex, that's not too much of a problem being only a 2 minute walk, but the food was dire! I have eaten at many resort hotels over the years (many 2 and 3 star) and must say this was one of, if not, the worst! The presentation was very good, and a lot of effort to laying everything out, however, it was tasteless, a poor selection of vegetables, and out of 14 meal times only had boiled potatoes once! The meat was of a poor quality and very surprisingly the fish was not that good considering the local markets were brimming with locally fresh caught fish. Plenty of salads though, shame they were not left alone and had to be mixed with oils and other pointless additives. The vegetables were mainly served cold and often had bits of fish mixed in. Spain being one of the largest orange producers in the World and we had to have orange juice out of a machine for breakfast, disgusting!
The All Inclusive was far from it! now I'm not complaining about the drinks (alcohol) these were local and very nice! but when you asked for real orange juice with your drink rather than than the powdered machine stuff they wanted you to pay extra. The same is true for the real coffee, out of the machine it simply tasted awful, but when I put my hand in my pocket for the extras it was really quite nice.
The availability of snacks from the pool side bar (at the hotel not the apartments) was really quite poor, the chips were frequently overcooked, the Hot Dogs often unavailable and the burgers awful. This all makes me sound like a fast food freak, far from it - that's all that is available, and with 3 Son's on all inclusive package having to pay for them to eat elsewhere defeated the object!
The service was really quite poor at the bar, I appreciated the 15 min rule, but seldom did you have the opportunity to break it, as it often took 20 to 25 mins to get served anyway! Be warned if you are getting a round in make sure you have the right number of cards on you (room cards), 1 drink for 1 card! I understood the rules but was shouted at by a member of staff for not bringing the right number of cards on an occasion and made to wait a long time after collecting the cards from my family for their drinks! Now then if you had money in your hand, they served you immediately! Strange that! The trick is to hold up a 20 Euro note over your room cards and then hand over the cards once served! I have stayed at many All inclusive (AI) resorts and this is the first one where staff treated us (AI people) with contempt!
The entertainment was dire! fair play to French Tour Operator FRAM their staff tried really hard to entertain all nationalities! But it was not for us, the SAGA holiday makers stayed away from the entertainment room too! Overall we were very disappointed! not a True All Inclusive Resort! If your looking for REAL Quiet then this is the place for you, PS the outdoor heated pool isn't! My opinion not a 4 star hotel at all (2 for food 3 for service, 4 for apartments).

Submitted By: Mr M.W CLARKECleaners came in but did not clean well, still dirty. We asked for plastic to be taken off new shower and the safe had gone wrong. We had to keep phoning at reception. Night time came we were full with cockroaches. Thought it was because we had left window open. Next night cockroaches again all windows shut up. We asked to be moved because of problems. They said come back at 1pm in afternoon they would give us a different room, we went back at 12.30pm the man who we had spoken to before tried to lie to us and said he had not even talked to us. We were very angry now. He said come back in half an hour. We finally got a room which did not have cockroaches.
Restaurant was clean and good food. Swimming pool was very ice cold. Bar was clean and staff was nice. We had a nice holiday in the end, were we in wrong place.

Submitted By: Mrs R CrossI booked through the Travel Republic call centre and having viewed the Aguamarina Golf hotel on their site, I was excited about the prospect of staying in this 4 star hotel (ALL INCLUSIVE) (despite advise of building work going on nearby).
However, upon check in at the hotel, my husband was very rudely told by the receptionist (who hardly spoke English) that we were not booked in at the hotel, but in the newly opened Aguamarina Golf Apartments down the road. After disagreeing with him, and at 11.45 pm, we walked down the road to the apartments.
On checking in there, we were told that as we were All Inclusive, we could eat our breakfast at the apartment building, but all other meals and snacks had to be taken back at the hotel! I could go on ... and I will....
We paid for a 4 star hotel... I got a 3 key apartment block.
Entertainment (at the hotel as there was none at the apartments) was awful... and in French... so if you didnt speak French... you had no chance!
The building work that we were warned about.... I was in it! ... The apartment block was not finished and there was painting and construction work still going on during our stay.
The level of health and safety around the building work was a joke!
No hand dryers in the public use toilets. No change of towels in the apartment rooms. No renew of toilet roll... we had to take these from the public use toilets!
No pool bar... only one bar located at the end of the restaurant (marble floor)... accident waiting to happen!
No snacks... had to go to hotel for this!
And even the snacks (hot dog or chips) where limited at the hotel... once they were gone... they were gone - as my son experienced.
Hotel staff were incredibly rude! Especially to the children. I certainly don't think that they have heard of service with a smile and think that some kind of course in dealing with the public and politeness wouldn't go amiss.
Food was very very repetitive. Certainly not value for money.
The only positive thing about our stay was that the weather was nice and our particular apartment and view was nice.
Having stayed in a couple of All Inclusive hotels in the past... I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Christmas was truly spoilt this year for us.

Submitted By: Mrs EA SinclairHowever we were surprised and pleased at the hotel and staff who went out of their way to make us welcome.
The taxi fare to and from the airport was 15 euros. The free bus to and from Los Christanos is great if you want to go shopping. We had intended to eat out the odd night depending on what the hotel food was like, however, the food was excellent and the choices were fabulous so we ate at the hotel every night and I must add the breakfast choices were also great. The rooms are fresh and clean with wide balconies and we had one on the front of the hotel which kept us away from the swimming pools etc. which I suspect might have been noisy.
The upper sun lounge was great with sunbeds and umbrellas and we were blessed with weather in the high 70's. So if you want to chill out this is the place to go. We are going to return late Feb-Mar.

Submitted By: Ms S JamiesonThis is a quiet resort which is approximately 10 - 15 minutes from Tenerife South Airport. You should expect to pay about 14euros for a taxi from the Airport to the Hotel.
I am telling you this as we travelled with two other families’ one of whom were charged 35 Euros by the taxi driver. Obviously this driver likes to take the opportunity to prey on unsuspecting tourists who are unaware of what the fare is likely to be.
This is a lovely hotel where the staff were helpful and friendly. The Hotel was spotlessly clean and anything that you brought to their attention was quickly dealt with.
The restaurant was very pleasant and clean and the staff helpful and friendly. There was lots of food to choose from and something for everyone. If you are travelling to this Hotel you can look forward to a good holiday it pleasant surroundings.
The Hotel offers a free shuttle bus from the Hotel to Los Cristianos and Las Americas. The staff in the hotel had advised that the trip to Las Americas took about 40 minutes - we found that it was much shorter than this. Have a good holiday.
" It might be a little harsh giving... "
Submitted By: Mr P TaylorWhen we visited, the small number of bars fronting the sea were being refurbished and this left us with only one other bar in the vicinity.
The beach in front of the hotel is plain grotty in my opinion and has nothing to commend it. There is a beach pool compound (with bar) but we gave it a miss.
The staff seemed pleasant enough to me and the cleaners were excellent. There was a TV in the room, but it was basic: satellite - yes, this planet - no. The only English-speaking channel was BBC World which truly drives you loopy because it repeats itself all the time repeats itself all the time. But, we don't go on holiday to watch TV do we!
In a nutshell, the resort is very quiet and I would not go there again unless I was playing a round - of golf, of course - or preferably on course.

The appartments provide a free bus everyday except Saturday into Los Chritianos and Los Americas which were both a delight to visit with their resturants, beaches and a prom which links both resorts.
In fact we had such a great holiday the only bit of constructive criticism I can offer is drop the word 'golf' from the resort name as I feel people will be detered from staying there which would be a great shame.
Advice: you won't be disappointed.
Activities: Parascending in los Americas and Sakura the chinese resturant
