I find it difficult to believe that anyone could write a bad review about this place as we found it to be brilliant.
The hotel is situated on the lower slopes of a mountain in Ovacik which makes it comfortably cooler than the nearby Olu Deniz and Fethiye. For those who wish to go to the beach, it is an easy dolmus ride (15 mins) which costs about £1.70 each. However, we found the beach to be much too hot with very little breeze and so spent more time in and out of the pool at the hotel.
The staff at the Leytur work extra long hours and take terrific pride in their work. The result of all this is a spotlessly clean hotel (inside and out) with well kept gardens and a pleasant environment for all.
The bar staff made things that little bit more special with their friendly and entertaining personalities. They didn't just want to sell you drinks, they wanted to learn about you so that they could make your stay better. Every effort was made to ensure that people weren't bored, but if you wanted to be left alone then they rarely bothered you.
This was our third trip to Turkey in three years and this was by far the best hotel we've stayed in. I only hope that by writing a good review about it, we don't struggle to book a room for our holiday next year.

We arrived at the hotel at approximately 2am and we were met by the owner of the hotel. She was incredibly pleasant and everything was prepared for our arrival. We had to pay extra for the air conditioning and safety deposit box, but we found prices to be fair.
The room was extremely clean, and quiet. Throughout the holiday, the only noise that could be heard from our room was from the hotel behind ours (this was only on their karaoke night - and when we mentioned it to the owner of our hotel, she was incredibly understanding and said that it was an ongoing problem that was being dealt with).
The cleaners, bar workers and restaurant staff were always very friendly and helpful and everyone spoke very good English. The Turkish breakfast was exactly what it said on the tin, although a full English breakfast was available at the small cost of 6TL (approx. £2.50).
The hotel is situated between Hisoranu and Fetihye, with the former being only a 5 minute dolmus ride away (at 1.75TL - 74p). There is a multitude of restaurants to choose from in Hisaronu and we found The Bees Knees to have good service and good food. There are many buffet style restaurants, charging as little as 17TL for 'all you can eat' with a drink (approx £7.30).
We visited the Turkish Baths (a must at the start of the holiday to get rid of dead skin and get your skin in tip-top tanning condition!), the Dalyan Turtle Beach boat trip (we saw sea turtles and ate freshly caught Blue Crab), a Sunset Cruise (very good food), and the Jeep Safari with the 'Bloody Gorgeous' Jeep Safari Team, which was very good fun and informative.
All in all a fantastic holiday that is perfect for people of all ages.
- Advice: A fantastic hotel - the staff did everything they could to make our trip as enjoyable as possible!

We arrived at the hotel leytur early hours of the morning and were kept waiting well over half an hour for our room. The hotel was not what my partner and i expected, the pictures we had seen on the internet looked completely different to how the hotel actually looks and were very disappointed. When we eventually got taken to our room it was very basic, simply two single beds, mirror and a separate bathroom which was very cramped and had bad lighting and a small balcony. The towels and sheets were changed once a week which we thought was very unhygienic, so my partner politely asked the hotel owner why they had not been changed, her reply was "what do you think this is, a 5 star hotel?" which she said very rudely. The breakfast buffet was awful it consisted of bread, cucumber, tomatoe, yogurt and honey. We couldnt believe our eyes. We also spoke to another couple at the hotel who went half board and they said that the dinner wasnt much better, there was no variety. The only good point about this hotel is its location which is near the bus stop and isnt far from hisaronu. Apart from the hotel we did have a very good holiday its a lovely place for families and couples who want a relaxing holiday on the beach.
- Advice: blue lagoon is gorgeous, and paragliding is brilliant.

After reading the ‘great’ reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor I felt confident that we had made the right choice for our week away in Turkey. But how wrong could we have been? When we arrived at 6.00am after a late flight there was nobody around to greet us, eventually a waiter came into the reception and took our suitcase. He had a piece of paper saying “Room 101”. As we were to find out this certainly was our room 101 as the grumbling waiter led we into a horrible, dark and dingy basement with no balcony – similar to a dungeon.
The room was situated in a dark corner of the hotel and I did not feel safe at all. The room itself was very basic and the shower leaked every time we used it. I was a bit upset about how dingy the room was and asked the owner when she came in that morning if she could kindly move us. We were basically told that the “room was for sleeping and washing in” and she refused to move us. Every night I dreaded coming back to the hotel at night as it just didn’t feel clean.
Over our 7 night stay the towels and bedsheets were only changed once. I felt this was a terrible way to treat guests. Clean towels and bedding are the basics which you deserve in any hotel especially one in a hot country.
The breakfast consisted of bread, cheese, tomatoes and yoghurt. There was no effort at all to making the breakfast half decent and because the breakfast was so bad we decided against eating at the hotel for tea.
The leaky shower was horrible, one morning the shower was so bad that the maids used our towels to mop up the excess water on the floor.
I had read on Tripadvisor that if you put your towels on the shower floor they would be changed. However, when we got home from a lovely day at the Blue Lagoon, we found that the cleaners had simply hung the towels out to dry. The beds were as hard as sleeping on a pavement outside and we used to wake up with aching bones. The Hotel Leda behind this hotel also had a dreadful noise coming from it every night - a tacky eurovision style disco playing until 3am most mornings.
The hotel had a very cliquey feel to it. Most of the clientele are chavs with the same matching tattoos. The manager wasn’t helpful at all and we got the impression that she would only look after you and change your towels/sheets if you spent a lot of money in the bar during the day and at night. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I would not recommend it to anyone. Think “Fawlty Towers” or a cheap European hostel. There is no way this is a 3* hotel.
On the upside, even although we had a bad experience at this hotel it has certainly not put us off Turkey. The surrounding area is very beautiful and the Blue Lagoon is simply stunning. This is an honest review, stay at the Leytur Hotel at your peril!

This hotel tops them all.
I had never been to Turkey before i arranged to stay at the Leytur. infact it was only by chance that we booked for this hotel.
when we arraived we felt like royalty as there were staff members waiting for us at stupid hour in the morning to simply show us to our room.
when i say the staff are amazing i mean it. The manager of the hotel is great fun she gets involved and she tries her best to ensure that you have a great holiday, in and outside of her hotel. Infact all hotell staff working here are great fun.
The hotel itself is in an amazing position it is out of the way of hisonaru set bk in a quiet location however you can get a dolmus (bus) to the town and it only takes about 5 minites.
I would advise anybody to givethis hotel a try!!!!!!! And i bet that you will go back to this friendly envioroment year after year or even get blown away so much as i did that i went back only 3 mounths after i arrived home.

We booked our holiday 10 days before and thought we were taking a bit of a risk! However this is probably the best holiday we've had for a long time.
It was our first time in Turkey: nothing could have prepared us for the temperatures of above 40 degrees most days. Hotel air conditioning was such a relief!
On arrival at the Leytur we were warmly welcomed by Layla and her staff. We ate in the hotel several times and food was always excellent-especially the lentil soup!! I still dream of it.
The pool was small but very clean and never too busy. Most people we met come to the hotel each year, which speaks for itself.
Hotel staff were extremely helpful in giving advice on day trips - boat trips a must- only £5-£8 per person for whole day trip lunch included. Jeep Safaris also inexpensive and not to be missed! Turkish Night in hotel was incredible in terms of food: best meal of the holiday and excellent for vegetarians.

We booked this package holiday after several telephone calls email searches etc, bearing in mind we have been to the area five times in four years so we know a little about the area, restaurants etc. When we booked, we were GUARANTEED, Hisoranu, Ovacik or Olu Deniz, although we were not specified a hotel. When we arrived at the airport, we were told that the accommodation was in 'Callis beach'. I have visited Callis beach, and please please believe me it smells of sewerage and is dirty beyond belief (And I am not a snob), anyway, I refused to accept what the tour rep was saying and and stated that we were told, Ovacik, Hisaronu or Olu Deniz. After ten minutes he said it's all sorted, and we were in the 'Hotel Leytur' in Ovacik. I was a happy bunny by then.
We arrived at the hotel at tea time - the hotel staff were exceptionally attentive, we were in our room within five minutes.
The room was more than adequate for our needs, we had twin beds (which we put together to make a double), a fabulous power shower and all the hot water you could need and new towels and sheets when requested. We had a small balcony, but then... he ho...
THE STAFF....... ARE FANTASTIC....... We were there for two weeks... half board... within three hours they were asking us questions about our families, lives, jobs, etc. I know it's all relevant for tips at the end of the holiday, but I know these people (or I hope I do) and they are interested in you as a a person.... JAN IS A FANTASTIC BARMAN!!!! There are no other words for him, Memhet, the chef, is great, as he has a lot to deal with, with the tools he is given, he does the best he can. If you go half board, it is very repetitive, soup a starter, chicken (of some sort) as a main course and pancake as pudding... day in day out .... gets a bit boring... but having said that there were many restaurants we wanted to go to as they were fantastic... ' sultan ahmet' in olu deniz, 'dominos' in hisaronu, and 'cin bal' in kaya koyu.......
All in all we had a fabulous time in turkey, and love the country, the culture and the people very much (even though we have not elaborated on what we have seen and done very much, this would take more time than I have), PLEASE PLEASE try and accept another countries cultures and beliefs as well as you own, you will be a much more enlightened person because of it.

I and my Husband stayed here for two weeks, we had a fantastic holiday and the hotel was lovely.
It was very clean, the food was great with lots of choice. ALL of the staff were so friendly particularly Layla who owns the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble.
All the extra little touches that make a holiday special were wonderful.
We will definitely be going back next year and taking the rest of our family with us.

The hotel was better than I anticipated. Layla and her staff were excellent. Rooms cleaned every day. Plenty of sun beds and parasols. Good position for getting dolmus into Hisaronu.
Turkish breakfast lacked a little cereal and toast that's all for me. Great snacks for lunch. Evening meals good. If you are looking for plenty of activities during the day or night then this hotel is not for you. It's quiet and relaxing. I would strongly recommend this hotel for a quiet relaxing holiday.
Found 3 good restaurants in Hisaronu, Dominoes, Olive tree & Robin Hood.

This is the second time we have been here and once again my Wife & I and the Boys have enjoyed the stay.
It seems very strange that some people have not enjoyed their stay and have slated the Staff at Leytur Hotel. They must of expected the Ritz Hotel.
The Staff are very helpful and love the Children.
Everywhere is clean & tidy. The staff are always on the go to help where possible.
Leyla has done a great job in building here empire.
We will be going back again
