This was a 2 week all inclusive holiday and the first time we had visited Turkey. Our experience was fantastic - this down to a number of factors.
The turkish people / staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly / hard working/ polite. The facilities were immaculate and the rooms of a very high standard. The food was excellent - plenty of it, lots of variety and of a very high standard.
The biggest impression made was that of the poolside staff - animayson team - who not only conducted poolside activities but danced / performed during the evening theatre shows, the standard of which was incredibly high. These people were multi talented - some speaking approx 4 languages. The commitment and generosity of spirit displayed in order to create a friendly / fun and relaxed atmosphere at the pool and other areas was second to none. The staff mixed with guests and actively sat and spoke with them - so creating a very personal environment and experience for all.
I do not normally return to the same location but on this occasion I must return and am already planning a return visit this Sept 08.
I really did not want to leave and would recommend it whole heartedly. The staff made my holiday and are instrumental in my return.

The hotel is just amazing. I am a German travelling from the UK and I must say that the only problem really is the Brits putting the towels on the deck chairs. I find this highly irritating, and no the place isn’t just full off Germans, more and more people are coming from different countries and it is respectable that this hotel is advertised a lot more in Germany than it is over here so obviously more people from Germany will come.
The hotel is well and truly amazing and I'm going again in October. Highly recommended!!!!

We have just returned from a week at...

Aug 2007, Mrs F Moremon

We have just returned from a week at this resort and on the whole the holiday was really great. On the positive side the hotel accommodation was fairly basic but very clean. Beware the air conditioning is on a timer so can get warm in the middle of the night - we thought it wasn't working!
The pools and beach were super - and we enjoyed using the aqua park too. We didn’t get too involved with pool side entertainment although my husband enjoyed his daily game of water polo and the entertainment team were very friendly and seemed to relish having a few Brits around to chat too - and they could not have made more of a fuss of our 1yr old and 5 yr old.
The guys running the sailing/beach activities were really great and we spent several evenings on the beach with them drinking their coffee, chatting and watching the fireworks. My little boy was 1 when we were on holiday and the housekeeping staff had obliviously noticed his cards in our room and when we returned in the evening there was a cake with a candle in the room waiting for us, which was a really sweet touch.
The restaurant guys also made a big fuss of us and the kids and set up a decorated table for us on the night of our little boys birthday - they were really friendly and took good care of us.
On the down side the reception staff were pretty dour and pretty much none of them spoke any English. This was a tad annoying since they seemed to communicate extremely well in Russian or German. So beware this hotel is geared up for eastern block guests more than Brits or western Europeans - Germans excluded.
As other people have already said the place is over run with Russians, who don't know how to queue and load their plates up as if it was their last meal.
The food is well presented and a pretty good choice but again is very geared to eastern European tastes as opposed to others. The Russians do try to reserve loads of sun beds with one towel but that did not deter us. We just moved the towel and set ourselves up and because Brits, French and Belgians are in the minority it did create quite a nice sense of camaraderie amongst us as everyone thinks the Russians are awful including the hotel staff!!
Our only other bug bear was all inclusive did not include ice creams for the kids which we thought pretty poor. My daughter barely wanted one a day but we had to pay for it and having brought Turkish lira with us got a poor reception from the miserable pool bar staff who only wanted euros!!
We overcame that by sending our daughter to buy the ice creams herself and she got no argument with the Turkish lira then! And as others have said you don’t get much opportunity to try the themed restaurants. Fish was fully booked and so we went for Turkish which turned out to be a buffet which served up food almost exactly the same as the main restaurant. We were not allowed to book up more than 1 themed restaurant for the whole week which we felt mislead - we understood we could have tried them all - that’s if you could get booked in!
But overall we had a great time - the hotel is family orientated which was great for us and in all likelihood we would return but it would be nice if the hotel made more of an effort with providing information and staff that can communicate with the rest of Europe and not just Russia and Germany! Oh and unfortunately both my husband and daughter returned with ear infections!!!

Its over a year since we were here...

Its over a year since we were here but I only just found this site. I travelled with my wife and 2 teenage children. My wife and I were disappointed with the holiday overall although the kids had a good time.
The rooms were tired and cramped, although cleaning was fine. The food was repetitive in the buffets and although the speciality restaurants were ok its really hard to get into them. Even if there are spaces, if you’ve had your 2 visits a week forget it.
The main problem with this place is most of the staff couldn’t care less. Only the animation staff made an effort. The reception staff were hopeless and the management tried hard to be unavailable. The bar staff tried to ignore our kids and would always serve adults first. I think they are highly tip motivated and teenagers tend not to tip well!
The beach is lovely and the grounds are ok. There’s not much around the hotel without a taxi ride but its well worth going into Side to see the ruins.
The Russians are everywhere and tend to behave like ignorant morons. They push in front of you at the buffet and in the lifts and eat like there’s about to be a shortage of food. You need to chill and ignore them or they would drive you nuts. Also a lot of Germans and other Europeans. Very few Brits.
Definitely not worth the money.

A fantastic Hotel and complex.
Food was varied, well presented and the relevant temperature
Lots of swimming pools and bars to visit
Beach was Blue flag
Hotel and complex was clean, staff very friendly
The animation team are fantastic and made our holiday
We came away feeling very pampered - we will definitely go back to this hotel and cannot recommend it enough!
The only draw back - you should be aware of - the first week we were one of three British families - lots of Russians and Germans - as well as Dutch and Swiss.

Apart from lots of Germans, this is a fantastic holiday not only for the kids but for adults too. Have never been made more welcome before on a holiday than what I have on this one. Food great, people great, pool, beach and hotel very clean and tidy.
The entertainment staff very friendly and keep you active and entertained through out the day as well as night. Bedrooms very basic but comfortable. If I have to pick one fault it's no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and the milk is yuk!!! So advise you all too take your own. We have booked up to go back next year.
