Six of us booked an all inclusive weeks long break as advised by Hays Travel to stay at the Arkadianos Apartments. We arrived on the 20th September 2009 about 9ish at night was told by the receptionist that we all had a pool view room and that if we didnt like it she would swap our rooms, thought it was a bit of an odd thing to say to someone as they are just booking into the hotel, the guy brought us to the block behind reception called Teresa Apartments and informed us our rooms were on the third floor and left us to find our own way at the bottom of the stairs. We got to the third floor and found that several rooms had the same room numbers i.e. 16 and 16 etc etc and so had to try the key in two different doors to see which one opened. we opened the door and immediately i saw that the bathroom door had been kicked in and no attempt had been made to repair it, a kitchen sink in the corner with a plug in two ring cooker, a rusty fridge and furniture which seemed as if it was just dumped in there, not appealing at all, the louvre window in the bathroom was broken permanently stuck on open as the catch was broken, toilet looked like it came out of a building site, shower cubicle grubby with just a shower curtain surrounding it. My husband opened the patio doors and found that there was no pool view just the view of an overgrown tree hanging over the balcony nice!!!!!!!!!!!!! Basically the room was a dump and that is being polite, this was supposed to be 3 star accommodation and to be honest i wouldnt even give it 1 star i wouldnt even rate it. We came back down to reception and told the lady that we all wanted to swap rooms as alll the rooms allocated were below par. She said that she only had one room available on the ground floor, it had two bedrooms and the electric was only working in one of the bedrooms, she said that she would have more rooms available the following day but if we didnt think they were suitable she would ring our holiday rep first thing and have them move us to another hotel, we said that we wouldnt take the alternative room but would wait until the following day, the thought of sleeping in that room made us feel sick so we all got drunk so that we wouldnt have to lay awake thinking about it, we didnt even unpack our cases and just slept in our clothes. We got up early the next morning for breakfast which was dire that i only managed a coffee and a slice of toast and went back to reception, the same lady said that she didnt have any rooms for us so we proceeded to contact the rep ourselves who said "OH" as soon as we said that we were at the Arkadianos Apartments and wanted moving so we sat and waited around for the phone call. Come lunchtime we had no news so we went down for lunch which consisted of luke warm cheesy spaghetti which was gross and not much else very poor choice. We eventually got moved to another hotel in Tsilivi called Tsilivi Beach Hotel and it was beautiful. Back to the Arkadianos though, when we got confirmation that we were swapping hotels we handed our keys back to reception to which she cheekily asked us why we were moving were the rooms not clean, to which we told her that we werent expecting five star luxury but the standards of the rooms were for backpackers who just wanted a bed to crash on or a group of youngters who were on a 18-30 holiday and were only interested in drinking and partying etc. The only nice thing that i can say about Aghios Sostis although we were not there for long enough was the fact that you could see Turtle Island from the pool area of the hotel, the hotel itself is rubbish and please DO NOT CONSIDER booking this hotel unless you are prepared to be uterly disappointed

We arrived at Arkadianos aparthotel at 6am, looked nice from the out side untill we entered.. The floor was soaken wet with wet towels around this big bucket which had rain water in., the receptionest looked drunk! They were smoking, laughing and swearing (infront of our little kids) while taking our details. As if they were laughing because we had arrived at the worst place ever in the world.
We got shown to our rooms, which were a nice size. Looked clean. (in the dark though) My sister in law had a broken leg, she got shown to her room which was at a different hotel & was up three flights of stairs, she also had two kids with her aswell, it was like something off the bronks..
We then fell asleep & woke up 2 breakfast which was freezing cold!! We had 2 eat bread to fill us up nice meal for AI. Kids wanted ice cream all day because we got told that they could help them selves, but they told us it was only on for half an hour a day.. They were starving.
That night we were all hungry & needed some lovely food (for the money we spent) we were expected unbeleivable food..
But no sign of nice food chips, again freezing cold, dry spaggettii with no sauce. The children were starving... We then went 2 a resterant down the street by that time it was raining and we were very angry havning 2 go and pay for food we have already paid for.
Pizza & chips we ordered it was THE BEST =) after eating and feeling full we then went home for the entertainment which didnt exist!!, after having hardly no sleep we wanted a nice realxing sleep, there was rain water gushing out of every crack in the hotel dripping down the walls where lights were, a giant puddle in the reception. absolute nightmaree!!

Woke up the next day, the hotel looked clean & smelt fresh, alot of people must of complained about the state of the hotel, because it looked alot cleaner than when we first arrvied, it was a lovely day we had bought scooters the night before to fill in the day because there was no entertainment for the kids! No satelite T.V there was one huge tele but it was in greek, we got told we had our own.. Good job we knew how to entertain our selves..
Come back for dinner. same thing what was on the day before, RUBBISH!! Then they put liver on which was there for 5 days.. There was cats all over when we sat down to eat.. We had to pay for every mail which was disgusting.. i only took a few euro & had to rely on my family & parnter.. The kids never ate anything & have lost so much weight..
The island was so lovely, & had a lot of things there for being a little island i would return to zante but this hotel needs closed down it is the worst thing we have ever seen i would never of expected this coming from greece as i have been to a few islands a few years ago, the hotels were spotless..
If you ever plan going with kids dont go at all, there was nothing to do while we were back at the apparntment.. It was a good job we had the beach infront of us because thats where we spent our time when we never had the scooter..
Apart from the hotel we had a good holiday and for spending all of our money on food what we had already paid for was really horrible.. it was 6 euro for 12 weetabix!! :O shocking!

this hotel is badly run by about 4 staff !! family run with kids brought to work by the manager, crying baby stuck in reception. we are 6 young girls who were just up for fun, didnt really want a great hotel just somewhere to sleep an get changed an that was what we got, i was a bit unhappy that we had no self catering facilities even tho we were self catering !! fridge didnt work, toilet broke, ants nest in bathroom, room an blankets stunk !!!! pool was good but only one bar open instead of 2. staff were rude, didnt have a clue what was going on. manager christina was nice an did try to help but she was that busy she looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders ! seen sercurity man ( if thats what u can call the vile human being ) kick a homless dog in the face !! which pi**ed me off so gave him a peice of my mind. when i tried to tell reception the next day ...he shrugged an said " what do u want me to do" ....i gave up an walked away. every time i went to reception someone was eithe crying or complaining !! if i was older an had a family i would not go to this hotel....poor familys with little kids sitting in reception of a night with nothing to do becoz no entertainment EVER !! all enclusive food was discusting !! so i would never go all enclusive here.
the only good point was the beers were cheap an we just layed by the pool and had fun an met some good people !! if u just want a bed and a room then go for it .....dont expect nothing else !!

We arrived late in the evening, as we had booked last minute they didn't have a note of us booked in... No problem within 5 minutes we were in our room with a fantastic view of the sea, pool and marathoisis island!!! Brilliant, so off we toddled to the bar being only 2 of us i thought quiet drink and bed. We did get to bed but had a crackin time meetin the bar staff who made us feel more than welcome and the rest of the guests too, including the kiddies :D top laugh. That set the tone for the rest of the holiday brilliant place, amazing view and really friendly people!! wait till you meet mama!! ;)
yeah a lot o people moaned about the food but its not that bad. Better than i cook greek food anyways!! lets face it all inclusive is about beer, the lager is well good and the vodka plentiful, happy days!! if you're thinking a la carte then think again on the price;)

Advice: Go find the hippy bar, follow the beach away from laganas find the rocky beach and just keep going.

We arrived at the hotel at 6.30 in the morning after a long flight. we expected to be checked in our rooms within half an hour. it took 2 hours. We where then given a truely disgusting and frightful room in the back building that hadnt been cleaned in years. so we refused this room and wasnt given suitable accomadation till 2 o clock the next day and even this room wasnt great. the food was disgusting, cold and infested with ants. the pool was dirty and unsafe, the hotel in all was unsafe. while we where there the downstairs public bathroom ceilling collapsed in. this hotel is the worst i have ever stayed in in my life. so if you wanna risk it sure. but take lots of money. you have been warned!!!
Advice: horrible place for a holiday, lovely views, but drunk people everywhere and really rude people

The hotel is in a lovely location, right on the sea with fantastic veiws of the famous "Turtle" Island. a quick 4 euro taxi from Laganos centre, meant that you were close enough to the bars if you wanted that, but far enough away that the "Lager Louts" did not appear!! The rooms were basic, but cleaned regularly, the cleaning staff were freindly and helpful. The advert stated that the hotel had 3 bars, of which only one was open, which was near the pool at the front of the hotel, which was shoulder deep and not kiddie friendly, any families with little ones had the use the rear pool at the second complex behind this one, which meant if you wanted a drink from the bar you had to walk a good 200metres!! When questioned on why the others bars were not open, the staff replied that the season had not started yet!! with 200 guests and being the last week in june, i found this hard to take. During the first week the bar served minimal drinks on the All Inc package, with no draft beer, and very little else. The bottled beer served instead was found to be 2 years out of date!! several Lads in the hotel were quite sick over it!! After a near riot by various guests (barry, amanda that's you!!) the bar picked up and various bottled beers were made available and draught came on line, cocktails were now available!! so the bar was actually quite well received which is why i have given a 4 rating!! Sagi the Bar manager was quite a friendly helpful chap after all the hassle and we even got various frre stuff from him that should not have been available on the all Inc package. As for the food...it was positively disgusting, same food served up at several meal times until it was used up, Liver n Onions for dinner, then again the next lunch!! We did not see one Greek dish throughout the entire two weeks, as this hotel boasted that the were the best Fish place on the island, we did not even see any on the all inc pacakge, it was cheaply produced and thrown out onto a so called hot plate. Food quickly went cold, and with no staff watching it, flys & insects were all over it!! We ate out almost every night. When payimg for a meal at the attached restaurant, it was fantastic food, so we knew the chefs could produce good stuff, just not for the All Inc guests, who in my opinion were treated as 2nd class.
Advice: Would go back to Zante but not the Hotel

The location was amazing, scenery was to die for. The hotel was rubbish- basic rooms with thin walls and was really noisy couldn’t sleep for the first few day, food was really basic not a lot of choice but good if you on a diet. we eat out nearly every night. Drinks were minging not much choice either watered down sprits out of date beers over 2yrs and rola cola instead of Pepsi it was horrid. The pool had too much chlorine in it, it dyed 2 of my bikinis green and 2 holiday makers blond hair green. But overall weather was amazing made up for every thing. Staffs were nice! People said they were rude. But it was that they didn’t speak much English but they tried there best. Ids only recommend this to younger people 18-30
Advice: Peaceful and beautiful. you can see turtle island from this hotel and its amazing

Ive just come back today from arkadianos hotel.I stayed there for two weeks with my partner an two children aged 2 and 5.We really enjoyed our stay here.The location was excellent,our room was big and had a lovely sea view and the food for us was great!The tomatoes were so fresh and the homemade soup was yummy.
The staff were great.The cleaning ladies were the lovelist people ive met.The bar men became very good friends of ours and dennis at reception was great.Im sad to leave this hotel as we all had a wonderful time.The chefs were so friendly and we had a very nice welcome.The beach is nice and we hired a boat to turtle island,which i totally recommend.The water was very clear and beautiful caves.We had a fantastic holiday,the kids loved the swimming pool and we are sad to be home.Want to go back....Highly recommend this hotel.

10 lads booked a holiday to zante and stayed at the hotel arkadianos, the food was absolutely disgusting. they did not change the menu was the same old food. we were served 2 year old larger which made 3 of our party ill, the hotel staff were very rude and became quite awkward when it came to complaining bout the food.. overall i would not reccommend this hotel to anyone

Location & Accommodation brilliant,Food i would,nt feed to pigs,the bar staff rude & arrogant some other guests were swore at, we were served bottled lager 2 years out of date. We felt we were putting them out when ever we asked for service from them. This has put us off of all inclusive holidays.

We arrived back this evening from Zante. You need to avoid this hotel if you value a quality experience. We moved within an hour of arriving very very poor hotel. No self catering facilities. Very disappointing.

the only good thing i can say about the hotel is that the rooms were cleaned and the towels and linen were changed every day, otherwise it was awful...most of the rooms have bees/wasps nests in the balcony roof,, the staff are rude and abrupt,, the pool was constantly covered in dead insects and bird droppings and it was never cleaned,, dogs were constantly coming onto the complex urinating and vomiting with the guests having to clean it up as the staff didn't bother about it,, there were mice living in the roof space-which i watched every evening from my balcony,, if a complaint was made to staff they swore at you,, there were no entertainment and no facilities for children and only the adult pool was open, as they refused to open the 2nd pool for the kids.....I will never go back there and i will never recommend this hotel to any one.Who ever gave this hotel a 3 star rating needs to review it again with thier eyes wide open.
Advice: its a lovely peaceful place with a few tavernas and restaurants (just dont stay at the arkadianos)

Just avoid this hotel, You can get a better hotel for less any where. All Inclusive food is repulsive,we paid for it and eat out 5 nights out of 7. Breakfast every morning is bread,sloppy scrambled eggs and cold beans. Your lunch will be reheated leftovers from previous evening. We fed the ham to the cats that live on the beach. We all got covered in bites from the beds and the shower was in pieces. The staff apart from one maid and a woman who worked in the shop were horrible and rude all the time.
However Aghios Sostis was lovely and full of great restaurants try Syrtaki for a meal,10/10 from us.

erion the bar man is amazing and we got everything we wanted.
i worked behind the bar at arkadianos and helped out, so i think the selfish people saying the seervice was poor are pritty awful!the friends of eris are amazing, and really friendly, they do pay, at the end of the night!
i am going back next year for 2 months,
and i cannot wait!
i wud reccomend this to any of my friends, becuase i no they would have a good time, if your nice to people they are nice back,
and for the one cocktail, all inclusive has only one cocktail, if you want a cocktail other than that one, you will have to pay...
