Best place for first girls hols!

OMG. This is the perfect place for a first girls holiday. We were a Group of 8 Essex girls which were proper worried about what we were booking and stuff we'd heard. But this hotel is so amazeballs.
THE HOTEL is really cute, the pool is clean, rooms are clean, maids do a good job, it's all basic. But it's fine to be there for a week - and we were out sunbathing in the day and out drinking at night - so for rooms your hardly in their good! Showers are bit pants, but they always are in hotels. Our bathroom flooded a bit but it wasn't an issue. You pay for air con and a deposit for a safety box thing, which is all really fair. Not allowed people back to hotel though, we tried and failed haha. Mike is SUCH a babe. BIG MIKE. Such a dude seriously, treat him with respect and he will really look after you. I got a huge cut on my arm and he looked after me. Like a Fam. Food at breakfast is kinda rubbish, but food at pool bar is SO TASTY. Not noisy at night except for a bit of door slamming ha. But just drink and you pass out and sleep like a baby. Loadsa young people, few older people but I wouldn't go here if I was in a family group.
LOCATION - is wiiicked, 5 min walk from start of bar street, and 10 mins from main clubs starlight and status - but when you go to the clubs your norm so lightbulbed so it doesn't matter. Main beach is like 10 mins away, but we didn't really go there cus pool was nice enough. There is a little beach by the hotel but it's pretty small and quiet. 1 min behind the hotel there is the cutest place to eat which breakfast was like 5euro for a whole full english. And dinner was 10 euro for two cocktails and main. So many lovely places to eat. SCALA is soooo nice.
NIGHTLIFE - bar street is soooooo good. Deals everywhere and just so much drink haha. You will get so smashed for so cheap. PRs are obv annoying but its their job. We managed to bar hop ten bars and got a shot for a euro at each one. Cheap and gets you drunk quick. Status is awesome. Starlight is just as good and their foam parties are AMAZING. Go neon night is status. Do a booze cruise. Best parts of hols.
OVERALL BEST HOTEL, CLEAN, GOOD LOCATION, GOOD NIGHTLIFE, NOT TOO CRAZY BUT STILL INCREDIBLE TIME.

  • Advice: Chill, be respectful, get crunk and go to foam party, booze cruise and neon night.
  • Good For: Beach

A Fantastic Holiday
10 / 10
Aug 2011, Dianne

My husband, myself and my 13 year old daughter just got back from our 2 week holiday at the Krismari and we had an amazing time. all the staff were really nice and friendly. The aircon was completly free, we had to pay a £20 deposit for the remote for it but this was returned when we checked out.the only thing we had to pay for was the safety deposit box which was £18 for the 2 weeks, The rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels and the beds were changed every 3 days, which is a lot more often than they get changed at home. The breakfast was a buffet that consisted of cereals, fruits, yoghurt, toast or bread rolls with cheese and greek biscuits there was also juice or tea and coffee. The pool area was really nice with a lot of sunbeds and the pool bar opened at 10am which sold a lot of snacks as well as soft and alchoholic drinks. There was a lovely lounge area with a bar, you could pick up free wifi in this are which kept my daughter happy in the evening while we had a drink or three. The hotel was a couple of minutes walk from the beach, resturants and kardemana town centre which is really nice with plenty of shops and lovely resturants. This is the 5th time we have been to Kos and would definatly book this hotel again, normally my husband is ready to go home by the end of the holiday but he said he would of given anything to stay another 2 weeks, anyone who has booked for this hotel with have a really good stay.

The hotel itself is fairly basic, but the staff are very friendly and capable. The location of the hotel itself is very convenient with a 10 minute walk to all local amenities.
The beaches that are worthwhile (ie less commercialized) are a little further away but are well worth the walk. The food was great everywhere!
The only thing I didn't enjoy was the drunk people slamming doors the whole night. No respect at all! Essex girls!

Essex girls do Kos '09!

Kos 09 with a group of 10 essex girls, need I say more?
First impressions as we pulled up to the hotel: "what have we booked!?" but as we got into the lobby we were very impressed. You wouldn't believe that just ten minutes slow stroll away was bar street - a haven for party-goers.
The rooms and bathrooms at the Kris Mari were standard, clean but small. Air conditioning wasn't great but it doesn't come at an extra charge which was a bonus.
Sliding doors led to a private balcony overlooking the pool, with chairs and table. Higher floors had very large balconys.
You can give your key in at the 24 hr reception every night which is so handy if you're prone to getting drunk and losing it!
The pool was very pleasant and always lively with music -however the same cd played everyday. Hope you dont mind the odd child splashing in the pool, not always great for a hangover.
The poolside bar was great - lunch was always a treat as the food was fab. Chicken salads, cheese toasties and many other hangover cures were favourites. Theres also a bar inside that is reasonably priced, and a tv area. You can buy an internet card that you can use in either the hotel (1 computer) or the hotel opposite (2 computers) - the cleopatra.
You can't have food or water you haven't purchased from the hotel around the pool though - the barman took it away, but other than that they were very friendly, young and polite.
Breakfast was included, but was poor and its very rare you have it anyway.
At night you are not allowed to bring people back that aren't guests at the hotel (our attempts were unsuccessful), the staff felt very strongly about this, as it is a law not to allow people back that are not residents.
The hotel is close to all the main attractions. Resturants, bars, beach, STATUS, seva, shops....
We loved everything about Kos we made great friends and all the workers were brilliant fun to be around.
There are 2 main clubs Status and starlight. We much preffered status, yet starlight hosts the best foam parties. Take some UV paint or clothes for status' bubble glow parties - unbelievable nights. You get dragged into every bar within sight, our favourites were toxic, H20, just blue and no name. Make sure you try out different bars we only discovered mars bar shots and the legendary RAKIE at just blue bar in the last few days of our stay :(
BEST HOLIDAY EVER, could go on forever with stories!!!!!
I recommend groups of 17 - 25 year olds stay here, 2 weeks is a bit long so possibly 10 days..
Hitting up Ayai Napa Summer 2010 so look out for us essex girls!

Kris mari hotel has lovely feeling to the place when you walk in. Ive stopped twice and going back in May. Rooms are basic but clean and lovely pool views if you are lucky to have one. The staff are very friendly and go out of your their way to make you enjoy your stay ! ! !George and Gareth were the day and night bar staff, both friendly, Gareth is mad! Gets Old ladies legless lol! reception day and evening ataff Julie and co are nice! Manos Manager is mad too! Will go out of his way to speak to you! Cant believe people put bad things about this hotel. Only bad thing is the horrid night porter but hopefully he wont be their next year. Every one speaks to every one in the bar area at night is a right laugh! And if people are noisy at 2:00 in the morning they are on holiday!!!!! Pool is nice to sit around in day, and breakfast aint bril but its is continental. Love kardamena and wont hear bad thing said about hotel

What a lovely Hotel

Me and my partner stayed at the Krismari Hotel in Kos, Kardamena. What a lovely Hotel, I would defiantly come back to this Hotel. The hotel is very clean and tidy, and the pool is a good size. There is enough room and loungers to get a space in the sun. Staff were lovely, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. However I did not like the receptionist man that does the night shifts. I found him very abrupt and rude, very intimidating and would make snidey comments. The maids came every morning. We always had the same maid and she was lovely! We never had breakfast so I cant comment on the food but i heard it was only continental. The location was perfect, was 2-3 min walk to the local beach, and 10 min walk into the centre. We both loved this Holiday and would certainly come back to this hotel if we came back to Kardamena. The restaurants and bars are great near the centre. You can have quite, yummy drinks in the cocktail bars overlooking the sea. You can have a lively atmosphere nearer the centre with music. Restaurants that were our favourite was Scarla, try and get a roof top meal and Loustrois that was next door - both stuck out for us. We also liked Yhanni that was more traditional which does the best steak! Overall. Great.

just got back from the kris mari the staff were great, the rooms were very basic the bed were hard and low to the floor and the bathroom was to small, and every time you had a shower the floor got wet through.bed linen and towels were only changed every 3 days which was not nice and we went out to buy more towels. breakfast was a joke it was toast or cerals or fruit cocktail out of a tin or peaches, which we ended to out to el greco
which is two mins from the hotel for breakfast and we met zac the boss he was lovley and sat and chatted to us about greece. the pool area was fine and the food was near the pool, the only bad thing was that there was insects floating in the water. over all we would not go back to the kris mari but would go back to kos.

Rude Staff

Eighteen Girls All 17 Years - 18 Years old went to Kardemena and stayed in the hotel Kris Mari it was a nice hotel because it was situated right near our own little private beach and a ten minute walk to bar street which was great. The pool was a reasonably size however we were not allowed to play any type of games within the pool which wasn't annoying any other hoilday makers just the man behind the pool bar who was rather rude and constantly picking on a large english group of friends. We got issued three warnings by the night porter who was very rude and threatned to kick us out when it wasnt us who were making noise except other groups on our floor. He was so rude that he said to my friend he would kick her out of this hotel by the neck and know one in the hotel would notice him doing it, to me that is a threat. We told the lovely english receptionist who was rather suprised and a little bit put off when we told her and she thought it was very rude of him to do that. On top of all that we recently found out that he took our passports and showed each passport to these boys who were not even staying in the hotel and they had come to find one of my friends who they had their eye on. All is well but the fact he got out all of our passports and were handing them to these groups of boys who were looking at our passports is complelty unacceptable and i personally think against the law. We only found this out when we spoke to the boys over the phone on our way back from Greece if we found this out while staying there we would of definently do something about it.
Breakfast is not very good either limited and not worth money paid for!
Apart from that we had a great time, and if you do go go to the paradise cafe where you will meet george and andreas who are what made this hoilday soo great.
I am only warning groups of boys or girls who plan to stay in this hotel of the night porter he is very rude threatening and picks on all english groups! Just to be warned, apart from him i guarantee your enjoy Kos

Very Empty

Apr 2009, Tanline09

We visited in the last week of August 2008 and spent the first 3 days of the holiday seeing no one else in the hotel or around the pool apart from the cleaners and receptionist. HAs anyone visited during July when its been busy and had problems with the cleaning, finding sub loungers, overcrouded poor etc. We are looking to go again this year but in July so were worried we will get a totally different cramped experience.

We have spent the best two weeks holiday at the krisimari hotel at kardmena
The hotel is basic, but clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly and nothing is to much.
George behind the pool side bar is such a(laugh may be a smile he just pops up everywhere at night
