We have spent the best two weeks holiday at the krisimari hotel at kardmena

The hotel is basic, but clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly and nothing is to much.

George behind the pool side bar is such a(laugh may be a smile he just pops up everywhere at night

Natilie behind the bar is really good and is very knowlegable a patient dont think i could put up with all the tipsy guests.

the only downside is the breakfast it is irractic ham some days but basic, we missed most of the breakfast you can get good breakfats locally.

Near to the krisimari is one of the best restteraunts is the paradise by silver beech run by one of the funniest men i have met geroge and albert found a wife yet ?

The food is excellent breakfast is excellent the range of food is really good value for money.

Will be back there soon

Hotel clean but very basic, there was no where to put your toiletries in the bathroom, and because the bathroom is small and the shower is hand held the bathroom floor ends up very wet, which can be a problem as the floor becomes very slippy. The breakfast is poor and cheap, cheese and ham on selected days only. Natalie in the evening bar is lovely and always smiling. The reception staff were always very pleasant and any request made was met. I wouldn't rate this hotel as 3* and personally I wouldn't go back but try it and see.

We have just returned from the Krismari. We all had a good time. The rooms are very basic, but clean. The shower could have been done to be a bit larger. The maids did come in everyday, but towels only got changed every 3 days. I went to reception and asked for some clean ones and they gave them to me. Was a bit mad about the breakfast, It was only toast, 2 type of cereal and drinks. When my mum and dad went a few years ago it was a cooked english breakfast. Most of the staff was nice. Geroge behind the bar in the pool is funny as, and will chat any time. Then we get to Natalie who is behind the bar inside from 6pm. What can I say, she is just fantastic. Natalie is such a nice person, so friendly, always speaks, was great with the children. As you can imagine the children had a few accidents knocking there drinks over, not once did Natalie complain. You have to try the mediterranean restaurant it is fantastic 10/10. The steak is out of this world. Then next door to that you have Pavlos bar, that a great nite in there. I would def go back.

Had a terrific time!! Just got back and am already planning our return visit.

We arrived at the hotel and checked into our room within 10 minutes. Was a little disappointed at first as we were expecting a sea view, however this was not the hotel's fault. Rooms basic but clean. Maid service every day.

Breakfast was poor. Toast, 2 x types of cereal, little choice of fruit and tea, coffee, juice etc. There was ham and cheese available Tuesday's and Saturday's!!

Pool area was great, proper little sun trap! George behind the pool bar was always friendly and does a mean ham, cheese and onion toastie!! Food and drink quite reasonably priced and very tasty.

Hotel is ideally situated, not too far from the centre and there are plenty of places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. There is a beach across the road from the hotel.

The only critiscm was that the pool attracts guests from other hotels/apartments, and can get crowded. Me not being the best of swimmers sometimes found it difficult to get in the pool and keep out of their way!!

All in all, a fantastic holiday. Can't wait to go back and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The kris mari is a great place to stay. would recommend it to almost everyone. We were greated by Costas (the night time receptionist) he is great. such a lovely man and always please to see you. He thought we were the most chilled out girl he had ever met. All the staff were lovely and eager to help, natalie behind the bar was lovely. Even the maids who didnt speak much english made an effort to talk to you.

As for the actual hotel i thought it was everything you could ask for (quite basic, but clean) the maids came in everyday to clean, change bins, straighten bedding etc. they changed bedding every week i think and towels more often.

The pool was nice. Quite large. only thing i could have complained at was the water line in the pool. it was a bit mouldy and there was loads of flower petal in the pool. apart from that it was great, got sun until about 7pm. the two guys behind the pool bar (can't remember their names) were lovely, always had time to speak to you etc.

Didnt get up once for the breakfast so can't comment on that.

Great holiday and met loads of nice people from the hotel. Would go defo go back.

Booked this holiday with a group of 4 lads (plus another 4 in Cleopatra classic). What a fantastic Holiday. We arrived at 2am and checked straight into our rooms. When i got there, i thought it was a little basic, but didnt mind. We unpacked and went straight out, when we got back, we recieved a warning of the manager that was working at the time (we was quite loud and rowdy), so we was a little apprehensive to what to expect from then onwards. but recieved no other warnings, so was pleased with this.

The pool area is very clean, and played music all day whilst seriving food and drinks which were very good! The people on the bar were very friendly and talkative. We was quite loud around the pool, but nobody complained (it is a young persons hotel definatley) The pool had lilo's and balls constantly left there, so we never bought any and didnt have any arguments on who's lilo it was etc. The pool has sun on it all day until about 7ish.

The bar is open by this point. A pint of beer 2 euro's - cant complain. The havea happy hour between 7ish and 9 where there are long drinks using branded spirits for 2.5 euro and coctails for 3 euro. The bar is open till late, never really stayed in past 9.

The maids came in everday (i think) and were very nice...we had several bottles of water with 1/4 full and the maid put them all into one bottle and put it in the fridge!

The downside of this hotel has to be the food. Whilst i only made it on a handful of occasions, i was still a little dissapointed. The only food that was available was 2 different kinds of cereal and toast, with tea, coffee and juice available too.

The staff all round are really nice and would definatley reccomend ANY of the Cleopatra group. (You can use any cleopatra ameneties if you want).

I do not usually write comments about hotels i only read them, but i was infuriated by the comments already made by a certain party.I also stopped at this hotel at this time and i was so shocked, as there is absolutely no way that the manager would have treated people this way.As far as we were aware the people in question were getting evicted because of the problems they had caused, as in our opinion this has to be one of the best holidays we have had in Kardamena. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff could not be more helpful from the cleaners to the managment. The pool was clean and the staff at the pool bar were fun and the food excellent. We had entertainment a couple of nights which was a nice change and Natalie behind the bar on an evening was very pleasant. We had only one small complaint nothing to do with the hotel but a few people coming in very drunk one morning other than that i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone young or old and i have already booked to go back later this year.

My stay was dreadful, our flight from Gatwick with First choice was delayed by 3 hrs going out and we have an apologie but no FREE Tea/Coffee or even water! Which is disgrace! Then we arrived to the hotel at 5am 3 hours later then ment to be, when we arrive we went straight to our rooms.... it was hot the aircon didnt work, the towels were rock solid, the bins were not emptied(nappy bins) so u could imagine the smell. The chairs leather was ripped and stuck back together with black tape it looks terrible! What a start to the holiday....

There was 4 of us girls all 20 and over we went out the following night and obviously had a mad night being drunk etc! When we arrived back to our hotel at 5am we was a little loud but nothing to complain about then 15 mins later the hotel manager came in shouting at us screaming in our faces and spitting (total disrespect) saying we are "stupid little girls" and that he is better then us and more educated! Well im sorry someone whos more educated wouldnt speak like that to anyone! He said that loads of people complained when we had spoken to our neighbours they said they didnt hear a thing so his a complete lier!

So the rest of our stay was uncomfortable. Why addvertise this hotel on the beach holidays if its not sutiable for younger people? Dont stay in this hotel - other then that Kos was a nice place to be!

When we had our flight home from Kos our flight was then agaihnh delayed at 3.50am for 4 hrs so we didnt leave Kos airport until 7.50am where again we didnt get a glass of water nor coffee or tea. first choice not good!

This was our second visit to the Kris Mari. We were there in August last year. The hotel has changed hands and we noticed a few changes, not for the better. Yannis has gone and although some of the staff were still there the atmosphere is different.

Breakfast was very poor, very little to choose from, a change from last year, when it was basic but there was some variety. You would expect to be able to get greek yoghurt and honey at a greek hotel. No honey available and yoghurt only every other day. When you pay for breakfast you don't expect to be supplying your own.

This hotel has many repeat customers who have been going back for years, many of them were complaining about the changes. Perhaps the new management should be listening.

On a positive note the hotel remains clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and always recognise previous guests. We did have to pay for air conditioning as it is not turned on until mid june, This meant a move of room to the third floor and a charge of 25 euros for the remaining five nights of our holiday.

The resort as always is lovely small enough to get around but large enough to prevent boredom. Some good shops available in resort if you feel like shopping.

Great restuarants in the resort. Try Manos on the beach, new this year and started by two waiters who worked in Paradise. Food is great and reasonably priced. El Greco also good, huge portions.

Calypso bar for frozen cocktails. Cocomo great happy hour and staff vey friendly. This is their first season. All in all a great holiday and hoping to return in August.

Stayed at the Kris Mari during what was probably the hottest 2 weeks of the year - hit 50+ degrees 3 days on the trot in the 1st week.

Hotel was very nice, rooms good, although air-con struggled to cope during the hotter days.

Yannis, the barman, is a very friendly and easygoing guy - his recommendations for places to eat are not to be ignored.

Sun Med or Med Sun restaurant offers excellent value for money combined with excellent food - highly recommended.

Kardamena itself is a nice town with plenty of good restaurants and bars to choose from. The square at night can be a bit loud with the boom-boom of music, but all bars have to shut their doors at 12 and keep the music inside.

If you get the chance drop into the Brewers Droop bar just along from the Kris Mari and say hello to Kev and Chris the owners - very nice and likeable couple and a good bar for chilling in.

Book you trips through Overseas Travel situated in one of the side streets off the square. Judy is very helpful in booking trips.

Would definately go back again - nice people, nice food, nice bars and nice weather.

Just returned home after spending 2 weeks at the Kris Mari, and can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you like clean sheets and towels.

Lovely and friendly staff from the top man to the cleaner everyone says hello and nothing is too much trouble. The only down side (not sure this is their fault) the swimming pool wasn't very cold and quite a lot of times was quite warm. But other than this, its great. The facilities in your room is: fridge hairdryer and a tv (saw some good films), the breakfast is moderate but again we enjoyed it.

The resort itself has two sides busy noisy bars (if you like this then you are ok) and relax bars again very nice people. We had 2 favs :- Garden Bar (fairy lights on trees) and Calypso (nr harbour) for drinks, eats we had 3 Aremis; El Greco and Paradise all worth a try although the 1st one is more expensive but you can have your meal on the roof garden and the waiter is lovely. Certainly will go back again!

6 of us stayed at the Krismari and have mixed views. We found the rooms an average size but were highly disappointed with the size and cleanliness of the bathrooms. We all found that the breakfast was very basic and did not cater for certain deity needs.

We did feel that the staff were watching what we were eating and appeared to be alarmed that some of us needed more than 1 slice of toast to satisfy our hunger.

The staff in general were not very friendly and had difficulties understanding English, I am a diabetic and it took me over 30 minutes to explain to the manager that I needed to store my insulin in a fridge, as one was not provided in our room.

It was also very quiet around the pool area in the day time and a CD was played on repeat all day everyday and it was so quiet that you could have heard a mouse fart.

The Pool Snack Bar food was very good and reasonably priced, only 3 euros for a pizza. Also the Bar man was a real gem, helpful and pleasant.

Overall the location is fantastic as it is only a 2 minute walk to the beach and all of the main bars and restaurants.

Just got back from a wonderful week at the Krismari, I went with my 2 children aged 7 and 9, and a friend with her 9 year old son.

Was worried after reading a few reviews, but soon realised there was nothing to worry about!

The rooms were cleaned everyday, as were the corridors, reception area, bar area and the pool.

A wonderful hotel, with great staff in a great location, not far from the beach, shops and bars. Breakfast was basic but plenty for us, the food at the pool bar was lovely.

Can not find any fault with this holiday, will definitely return next year, hopefully for 2 weeks!

We first visited the Krismari in 1995 having failed to get our first choice of holiday, what a blessing it turned out to be, we were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the location couln't be better. We were made to feel very welcome and left knowing we would return.

We are normally the type of people who like to try different places every year, but since discovering the Krismari we have returned almost every year-twice this year as we were lucky enough to be invited back to Yiannis and Emma's wedding.

We couldn't praise the staff too highly they are now thought of as friends. We will definately return again and again.
