just had our 7th holiday here and it just gets better every year we went with our two friends and then met up with our other two friends all of whom we met on our first holiday.the hotel is kept very clean the food is lovely fran,george and katerina the owners are the loveliest people u could ever meet they will do anything for you and they treat you as one of the family.bbq night is great everyone has a good time.we met people that had been before plus made new friends.we just didnt want the holiday to end thats how good it is.

We have just returned from our 9th holiday at Sunny View Hotel and as usual we had a brilliant holiday. George, Katerina an Franzis never fail to amaze us with their constant warm and friendly attitude not just to 'regulars' but all their guests. Nothing is to much trouble for them. The Hotel is very clean and comfortable and the pool great. Katerina's cooking is excellent with a varied menu and large portions definitely value or money. BBQ night is a must where guests get to know one another and have a great time with Karaoke. Generally speaking it is said 'you get what you pay for' at Sunny View you get more than you pay for because the welcome the family gives is priceless. We would not hesitate to recommend Sunny View.Dot and Clive

We have just spent 2 weeks at sunny view in Kardamena Kos
This family run hotel was 1 of the best we have been too.
Everyone was so friendly, the family and staff just couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are cleaned and beds made and towels changed every day, and the food was very good, with a good selection. The pool area was one of the best kept we have ever seen, well maintained and very very clean. We were made very welcome by everyone and made some great new friends.
OVERALL A FABULOUS PLACE FOR A GREAT HOLIDAY.

When we arrived at first we honestly weren't sure what to expect as all we saw was the start of an extension around us and not alot else. How wrong were we.
The family were extremely friendly and would go out of their way to help whenever they could.
The hotel is situated a short, but gorgeous, walk along the beach from Kardemena and if you don't fancy that there is a regular bus going past or the family are more than willing to order you a taxi if you want.
The pool is lovely with plenty of sunbeds for everyone and the sun always on the pool. They have also provided shade for everyone if you so wish.
Accomidation itself was lovely. The staff cleaned them every morning and provided fresh towels and bedding.
As it is a small family run hotel all guests get to know eachother if you so wish providng a fantastic environment.
We am looking forward to seeing the extension work they are doing and to meeting many of our new friends again.
We really reccomend this hotel to anyone holidaying in Kos.

just got back from a week at the view of sunny scrub fields hotel.
very strange place to stay for me and my partner,i suppose for those of you who like a holiday doing nothing but lazing by a cold pool and eating and drinking from a very limited menu at expensive prices then go for it.
if you spend money with george and family the'll love you,if you don't then beware,the attitude can change,almost to the point where they try to make you feel guilty about it,i personally never felt on holiday while i was there,kardamena however is a lot of fun and would recommend it to anyone.
so in short if you want a hol where you dont have to walk an age to a decent beach and choice of excellent food then try somewhere else.

What a great place to stay two weeks of great memories Frankie George Katrina And Sunny were so friendly and so happy that they went out of there way to keep us happy
The Pool was great and the sunbeds with the free matrases were a nice touch to a great place to relax
Then the BBQ was great George cooked it to perfection and the Karioke was a great time even frankie got up to sing even if it was the liverpool song
The room was always tidy and the cleaner was great
Alltogether it was a great holiday and i will definetly be staying there again

Sunny View is a decent hotel just out of Kardamena, the family are lovely, and were always friendly.
Yes, George does go on about the BBq, but it was a good night, maybe not worth the 15 euro, but was good fun.
George was very honest after we had paid for air con, he realised it was in our price, and gave us back our 55 euro, we would have been none the wiser.
The rooms were always clean, the maid was fantastic, and even soldiered on after being bitten by something one day.
Francis is a great bloke, loves his footy, and we stayed up and drank sambucas, and chatted footy on a couple of nights.
The meals were nice, but nothing spectacular, breakfast very basic, but ok.
i thought the drinks were a bit pricey, but not overly bad, but you have no choice really, where the hotel is situated.
My biggest complaint is about the green stains that seem to appear on clothing after being in the pool, it ruined 3 pairs of my shorts, and got on other clothes too, they really need to get that sorted, there is obviously something wrong somewhere, as i have read in other reviews.
Maybe a bit more to do in the evenings would keep people there, but there is only the awful pool table really. Some other evening entertainment wouldnt go a miss.
All in all though, I would go back, we didnt pay a lot for our stay, and it was more than worth it. I would recommend it to people on a bit of a budget.

We have visited Sunny View 8 times and cant wait till next week to visit again. Fantastic Hotel. Fantastic Family - Most of the frequent returners like us are now like a family too
The Island and the people are so welcoming. We just love everything about it. The night life is only a short ride away - but far enough not to keep you awake all night.
And if you dont like the set breakfast menu - the extras are extreemly competitive and Katerina will cook almost anything you ask for. And the weekly barbecue is great too.
We think its the best Hotel in Greece!!

Myself, my daughter and 2 friends have just spent 10 days at sunny view..We were made to feel very welcome by george, katarina and francis.. Met some lovely people and had a lot of fun...Maybe one small critisism, a variation of the breakfast would have been nice although i have to say that the evening meals more than made up for it. A quiet location and only a 5 minute taxi ride from the nightlife where there is something to suit everyone. The pool area is lovely and the rooms comfortable and clean. We all had a wonderful time and would definately return. A most enjoyable holiday!

We (couple, 40+) were 10 days in July 2009 at Sunny View. It is a simple but very pretty little hotel. The rooms and the swimming pool leaves nothing to be desired, everything was very clean.
The beach is about 400 metres from the hotel, to the town it is also not far (about 20 minutes by feet, bus-stop is in front of the hotel, a Taxi is only 5 Euro). In return, it is very quiet and you can relax at the pool.
Yes, the breakfast is - at some comments here mention - is every morning the same. But it's ok. It's not a five-star-hotel. But I want explicitly say: The best in our days at sunny view were the very friendly and obliging family, that owns and runs the hotel.
George, Katharina and their son Francis did everything to enable us a very beautiful holiday. We can recommend the Sunny View Hotel thoroughly. Everyone who doesn't await five-star-luxury for a three-star-price will be pleased.
