Kardamos Hotel

I booked up with two other of my girl friends to go to Kos 2nd June, overall we had a great time together! The hotel was in a great location right next to one of the biggest clubs in Kos called 'Starlight' however because we went pre-season it wasn't open for the duration of our holiday which was a downside for us because we had to go to 'Status' every single night because it was the only club open :( also we had to book with the '18-30's rep package' for the week, because otherwise we wouldn't of been able to go anywhere which was lively everyone booked with the 'rep package' so everyone was together, I recommend if you go to Kos with 18-30's go mid-season when it gets really busy so around the first/second week of July would be a great time to go and you could then go wherever you liked and it would be busy everywhere. The reps overall were pretty boring, for an 18-30's holiday it was 'ok' we didn't play the sort of games you would expect e.g. drinking games etc. They didn't really seem to make an effort to make sure we were getting the most out of our holiday, and also most of the reps were moody!! The hotel was great, I would recommend a studio rather than a room purely on the fact that they are much nicer, the lack of facillities didn't seem to bother us because we ate out everynight because it was so cheap! I would recommend 'Scala' restaurant along the beach front it's so nice! So overall it's a good holiday for your first one with your friends, go mid-season to get the most out of it, but if you're expecting a Magaluf/Napa/Malia experience you're going to the wrong place!

Have gone to resort for over ten years and this is my first time at the kardamos hotel,would book again as this hotel offers great value for money and a good base for your holiday.Stayed in a studio which was basic but clean and had super view of kardamena,went slightly out of season so I guess it was quieter than peak times,great holiday with no complaints.

This was my first holiday with my friends. We were a big group of 16 (12 boys and 4 girls) all from school. 12 of us stayed at Kardamos, 4 in the rooms 8 in the studios. The studios were far better than the rooms much more spacious with bigger balconies and showers. The studios were cool enough at night for the two of us to survive at night without a fan although the guys did get fans for the week at 15 euros from reception. The studio was clean and the maids were good although they did wake you up some mornings they gave us clean sheets 3 times and throughout the week. The hotel staff were really nice and the reps were great very friendly and they looked after you when you were out of control! We did the rep stuff but as a group of 16 it wasn't really necessary altho it meant we didn't need to worry about what it was we would do everynight. The pool wasn't great but was fair enough! The two main downsides to the hotel which make choosing a hotel nearer bar steet a goood iead were that they had these two packs of dogs which bark all the the time no joke i wanted to shoot them but then you probably won't be getting in till aroung 6/7 in the morning! Next reason is that it is a good 10min walk from everything which is annoying when you want to nip backl for something. I wouldm't have walked back on my own at night or even with one other girl. Our friends stayed in another hotel which had a much nicer pool and was much closer to the town..if i was to go again i would stay somewhere like that. However, i had the best holiday EVER the hotel was cheap clean with friendly people and so long as you aren't expecting luxury you will have a great holiday at this place!!

got back from Kos yesterday after a weeks stay in kardamos studios, kardamena. DO NOT listen to the bad reviews if you're going to stay at this hotel! I went with a group of 9 girls and we were expecting the dirty small hotel that many people had described.. however, we were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Our rooms were basic but clean and tidy and you get what you pay for, the pool and snack bar were so good we spent most of our days there. The reps are amazing and all the nights that we payed for with them were so good. we all met so many amazing people and i think they would all agree that we would return in a second. it's so good we are considering going back next year! i definitely reccommend going to the first night bar crawl to get to know everyone, the UV party and the wet and wild party on the last night. we luckily managed to also see miss dynamite while we were there. these nights are all arranged by the reps and are worth paying the money for.. however, do not go on the status cruise (50 euros) its not worth it and its for the whole day.. you can also pay about 15 euros for it if you do want to go (in the town theres a shop that sells tickets). kardamena is such a nice place and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. overall i would really reccommend kos as a place to go on holiday with friends etc and definately reccommend staying in kardamos studios.. if you do go, Memories Bar is the best place to go for cheap deals, kareoke and amazing bar staff.

wen we arrived at kardamos hotle it looked really nice from the outside, still dint look that bad wen we walked in reception!!! then we opend our room door n there woz the biggest spider ive ever seen in my life! first thing i did woz check the bathroom..... well oh my god i never seen a bathroom like it ever, talkbout small n the shower didnot even hang over ur head to wash ur hair u ad to hold it n the shower curtian woz not long enuf n so the bathroom the bathroom floor woz absoloutly soaked! there woz TWO plugs bear in mind the fridge woz using one of them???? there woz no air con so we ad to hire a fan for 15 euros which woz useless all it did woz blow the warm air around the room!!! n it sounded like a jet engine at nite!! the pool area woz nice to be fair but did not dare go in the pool cuz half of kos bug life woz in their! the snack bar did not have air con either dont think the hotel new wot it woz!!! the staff woz lovely on the plus side!! i woz with the 18 to 30 side of it but only cuz it woz last minute which i did not mind but soon as we arrived like withing 5 min the rep wos in ur room getting money out of u for the trips n stuff n if u dnt pay up straight away they say to that u can not rebook ur self on them once they spoke to u, but we find out that at the last minute they sell the tickets to ppl that av not come along for ded cheap!! which woz quite annoying!! overall im not stuck up or owt but this has got to be the worst hotel ive stoped in it just needs updating BAD!! i no i got room only but i spoke to other ppl that stayed in the other rooms like self catering n they sed just the same as me! all n all i wud not recomend this hotel to ANYONE ever!!

Me & my partner arrived at 4am got checked in straight away which was good, room was very basic but you get what you pay for with bed & shower.
FAULTS IN MY ROOM C14:
1. Two single mattress’s to make up a double bed which where all burst around the sides (WHICH WAS DISGUSTING)
2. Mattress’s where all stained
3. Lights weren’t fitted to the ceiling properly, you could see the wiring!
4. The fire alarm had been removed from the room, but had a cheek to have a fire alarm notice on the door.
5. The bathroom always ended up soaked, the shower curtain wasn’t long enough and the house wasn’t attached to the wall.
The room was way too hot as well which I think they have a cheek to rent out fans at 15 euro each for a week when you can buy them from the supermarket for 19 euro the market is at the bottom of the hill.
They also charge you 10 euro if you get any stains on towels or bed sheets and pillows. 100 euros for fridge but the fridge is knackered anyway takes about 6 hours to cool down a drink.
SO END OF THE DAY ME & MY PARTNER DIDN'T ENJOY THIS HOTEL AT ALL, THERE WAS NO REP IN SITE BECAUSE WE DIDN'T PAY THEM THE 209 EUROS TO DO THERE CLUB 18-30 ACTIVITIES.

I went away with 5 girls and we had such an amazing holiday! We stayed in the studio apartments and the only thing i can remotely complain about is the lack of kitchen facilities. But this didn't bother us. The events the reps organise are so much fun!! Especially the boat party and silent disco! One of the clubs Status was the best one there, always played good music and you always knew someone in there. I would highly recommend staying at kardamos! Everyone is so friendly and the reps are amazing. Basically, a perfect holiday and i would definitely go back!

absolutly amazing hotel, lovly staff and boss reps, went with 3 girlies so 4 of us in total and we had the time of our lives, it was that amazin im goin back in 6 weeks time with my other mate :)

What to say..you get what you pay for. I personally loved this holiday July 2010. Pathetically hot, close to all nightlife, markets etc. The pool wasnt very clean but it made for silly little games with my girlfriends (dodge the wierd insects) the rooms were very basic with only a small fridge between 4 girls (but was a room only) , the shower hanging off the wall and my friend even cut herself on the floor drain which was broken, but it was just a place to sleep and really didnt bother us. Staff were ALWAYS polite, saying hello and even got nicknames from the pool bar staff. Got very hot and bothered as the heat was too much at times especially whilst getting ready to go out. The hotel supplied fans at a price but did absolutly nothing but blow more hot air around! All in all its brill for the party people who just wanna have fun and would go again. Make of what you want so dont get too upset over other reviews. Enjoy!!! :)

Went to Kos with my friends in August 2010- there was 8 of us in total. The hotel is in a great location, a short walk to the centre where all the bars are. The only fault that we had with the hotel was there was no air-con, you can hire a fan but this barely did anything and it was hard to sleep at night. No other complaints though, you get what you pay for- most people on club 18-30 hols go to make friends and have a laugh, not to sit in the hotel room!
Pool was lovely, fun atmosphere and was a pool bar that was open most of the day :D brilliant holiday, would defo go again!
