Nicon Studios & Apartments

It was my first time in Kos and Greece altogether so I was a bit apprehensive as to what to expect for accommodation as it is very different from your typical Spanish holiday. When the Thomson coach pulled up outside the Nicon Apartments the driver was very helpful and unloaded our entire luggage. We then walked to the front of reception where Spiros greeted us and gave us keys to the rooms. The rooms were quite small but they grow with you as you get used to them but there is plenty of room for everything you could possibly need in there. The beds were comfy and the atmosphere was very homely.
The mornings were very friendly as Tina served breakfast at the pool snack bar and was chatting to all her new guests and welcoming them onto the resort which is nice, as not many other hotels do that. The tavernas were very nice, reasonably priced and served good food for the money. I would recommend the two tavernas just down the road from the Nicon site where you have the options to eat your meals on the seafront with the wave’s right next to you, very relaxing if you ask me. The evenings at the poolside bar in the Nicon were amazing, Nikos and Toilis were an absolute delight to have on site, they were fun, friendly, entertaining and most of all fit! They were great guys and did everything they possibly could to help their guests in the small but friendly family run studios.
Our Thomson rep (Claire) was helpful, always on sight whenever you needed her and she set a good example of fitness by riding her pushbike. There was David’s motors next door to the Nicon where I hired out a quad bike for 2 days and did my own exploring of the island of Kos, beautiful scenery.
Would love to go back as soon as possible to the Nicon, especially to see my friends Nikos and Tolis!

We went to the Nicon apartments in a group of four (2 couples) and we were a tad bit worried about the place we had booked especially after looking at some of the other reviews.
We are all aged between 18 and 25 and we all loved it, Nico and Tolis were brilliant, as were Spiros and Nan!! The apartments are regularly cleaned and the pool was really tidy.
We are all going back in may next year and that shows just how much we loved it! You rarely feel the need to venture into town at night as Nico and Tolis will keep you entertained while filling you full of shots and cocktails! Remember Yamas and you'll get on just fine! 10/10 apartments!

Very clean apartments and pool etc. The accommodation was very close to Kos town and if you don't want to walk the bus service is really good.
One of the highlights of the stay was bros theme which is where the hot waters from underground volcanoes flow out in to the sea like having an outdoor bath - very worth the walk.
The real down side though was when we had to report a problem with the apartment - the toilet was continually flushing and the balcony lights had blown a fuse, we were in our opinion treated very unfairly. The person we spoke to was rude and unhelpful to the extreme. Have in fact never been treated like that in any other place we have stayed in and for that reason alone will never recommend the Nicon to anyone
Other than that Kos is lovely, the Kos town beautiful and every one else we met was friendly and warm.

Our first time in kos and it was fantastic! Nicon studios were brilliant, everyone made us feel welcome. Set in lovely gardens it was only a bus ride away to the centre of kos town.
Myself my boyfriend and my daughter loved it we have already booked to go back next July! Also the europe bar was our regular eating out place very good food and service. See you in 2007!! Can’t wait.

Nico was a very nice and friendly atmosphere. Me and my partner would recommend going there to anyone. We went for 2 weeks and it was fantastic.
All the staff were very friendly, many thanks to Tina for her Gyros burgers - they are very nice. Also many thanks to Bleddy and Nico for their shots and karaoke!!
Nico apartments are the cleanest of apartments that I have stayed in, this is the second time me and my partner have visited Kos island and we have found Psaldi to be a lovely place to stay.
The short walk into Kos town roughly takes about 20 minutes not 40minutes as Nudge the Rep suggested.

This was our eleventh year at the nicons, every year gets better and we always meet other guests who have returned, the staff are friendly and make all feel welcome. I wouldn’t miss a Summer at the nicons for anything we love it.
It is close enough to Kos town and many good bars and restaurants, but you don’t need to go out all the fun happens in the nicons. Needless to say we will be going back next year.

The Nicon is a fantastic place to stay with brilliant staff that always makes you feel welcome. The Thompson rep was great always willing to help.
the rooms were clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities the bar was cheap with a wide range of drinks to cater for all, children were welcomed and made a part of any activity, there was entertainment on most nights ranging from Greek night to quiz night to karaoke, however the staff were very thoughtful and the music was turned down at midnight to allow for guest that were sleeping.
The bar served fantastic food from 9 am to 10 pm which was cheap and very good, there was a wide variety of food from English to traditional Greek.

We have never been anywhere so friendly and welcoming. It’s a family run complex with something for all the family. It is very clean and the apartments are a good size and well furnished. A five minute walk from the sea and 20 minutes from Kos town (shops, bars and restaurants). The best holiday we have ever had, enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back in October. We would recommend this resort to anyone wanting a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in the sun!

My wife, Christine, and I have just returned from our 27th holiday in Kos. As usual we had a fabulous time thanks to Spiros, Tina, Phyliss, Nicos and Bledi. Also many thanks to the cleaners of many years - Poppi, Rula and Phyliss.
We have returned to the Nicon twice a year, in May and September of each year, for many years now and it is always good to meet up with the regulars - Chris and Jean Garnet, Tony and Eileen Shepherd, Dave and Diane Bates, etc, etc.
After our 20 the visit Spiros and Tina organised with the Mayor to install us as citizens of Kos - a wonderful ceremony ! We went there 3 times last year - visiting in August to celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary. We cannot fault the place or the people and look forward to going back on 7/5/05 and 10/9/05. The best and handiest restaurant to the Nicon is the Neo Syntrivani (Fountain).
