we stayed at ozlem apartments sep 26th-3rd oct and had a great time.the apartment was lovely and so were the staff.very helpful and polite,and a warm welcome on arrival.we are definately returning next year.a big hello and thankyou to jimmy&co -bar staff,who are so polite.nothing is too much trouble for them.a big thankyou to everyone for welcoming my friend who was staying at nearby kurt apartments{holiday from hell}.the whole of icmeler is lovely,and i cannot believe how friendly the people are.well done and see you next year.

Well what can I say; I really enjoyed staying at the Ozlem Apartments. I was offered a roof top room with a lovely balcony which over looked the local area and in the distant the sea front, I thoroughly enjoyed the welcome I had from brother peter.. Cherry, Frank, Simon, El, Mags and the lads including Jimmy, Harkan and Ebo. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and owners, I was made to feel like a member of the family, I played pool and pool matches with Simon, watched the football with Frank and Simon. Sat at the kitchen bar and had lengthy conversations with El and Mags. The family are keen to help you see the real Turkish culture. I was taken to the Harmony Bar to witness what could be the best show I have ever seen, the star of the night Stella with her amazing Stella Show (Drag Act) THIS IS NOT TO BE MISSED. The food from the restaurant at the apartments is all handmade and home cooked; it was really like my mum had been cooking for me it was fantastic. This was the second time I had visited turkey, first time to Ozlem 1 and It will not be the last. Well done I thoroughly enjoyed myself. All the Best Tom.

What can we say ,we arrived late for our two week stay and the welcome was one of the warmest you could wish for nothing was too much trouble. Frank & Cherry took us to an authentic Turkish Bar on our first evening again the owner there was so unbelievably friendly. The apartments were clean and well maintained the staff were brilliant with the kids and adults alike we were always greeted with a smile and a broken english good morning. Although the apartments are self catering we ate breakfast and lunch at the restaurant most days the food was excellent from Mags & Ell the english cooks and wandered into the village most evenings for our dinner and wander around the many shops The entertainment was good we had a brilliant Turkish Night. Amongst other funfilled evenings even bingo was on offer! There was a real family atmosphere and if you needed anything at all Peter the manager was on hand to cater for all requirments even advise on the best trips and even organising them. If you are visiting Turkey for the first time I would highly reccommend staying at the Ozlem1 we would not hesitate to return to Icelmer and the locals were all very friendly and welcoming.

We have just returned from a 2 week hol staying at the Ozlem 1 apartments and we have had a fantastic time. Cherry & Frank are the new owners and this is their 1st season, they mde us feel really welcome and drove us round Icmeler and Marmaris to see the sights. The apartments were very clean and well maintained. The Four Sasons restaurant now stands were one of the swimming pools used to be; the food (made by Mags and Elle) is delicious and reasonably priced. There was plenty of entertainment in the evenings; Sunday night is quiz night (our team including Frank won 2 weeks running!), Wednesday's are Turkish night with belly dancers, break dancing, and a folk band, other nights included a bingo night, pool competitions, barbeque etc. The staff, manager Peter, Simon, Sid, Jimali, Arkan and Ebo are really friendly. The beach isn't too far to walk to and the market on Wednesdays is just down the road from the apartments. We're planning to go again next year, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

My partner and I stayed at Ozlem 1 apartments this June and had one of our best holidays ever! The apartments were kept so clean and the staff were extreemly friendly and helpful. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely top floor room with a nice view of Icmeler and it's own private balcony. The room was a good size and very bright and airy. It was quite hot when we were there but this only helped with our tans ;) and the optional air con was quite sufficient to help restful sleep each night. I would recommend a trip to icmeler to any of my friends as it is a fabulous place for a holiday and I would not hesitate to also recommend Ozlem 1.... thanks for a great 2 weeks! x

We have just returned from a week's holiday at Ozlem 1 apartments. We had a lovely holiday, although I would not go back to these apartments again. Whilst the owners, an English couple, were very friendly and welcoming, the standard of the apartments was not good. We also had a rooftop room- no balcony, just a wall to look at! The kitchen lacked any basic equipment to use, so although they were self catering apartments, you would struggle to actually self- cater! The shower was a 'trickle' and dripped constantly! Also there wasn't any hot water in the mornings as they were solar powered. There were lots of wires handing out of the walls, and the general feel of the apartment was scruffy and not looked after. There was just 2 single beds in the bedroom which were really uncomfortable! The air- con worked, it was just in the bedroom, but was needed as it was so hot there. The pool was okay, although very busy and you felt like you were on top of the person next to you, so we only went once. The constant loud music playing at the pool was also a bit offputting, and the pool was in the shade after about 3pm. Instead we walked down to the beach and found a lovely quiter spot at Cafe del mar- inbetween Icemelr and Marmaris. The staff were very friendly- all the Turkish lads who worked there were nice, although did tend to pester you to eat and drink there a lot! We found we were hoping they wouln't be there when we left to go to a restaurant in the evening due to the fact they constantly badgered you to eat there. Icemeler was lovely, I think it's getting more like Marmaris, although there are some really pretty bits still- you just have to look a bit further to find them. All in all, we didn't pay a lot for the holiday and so I suppose you get what you pay for. If we were to go to Icmeler again we would like to stay somewhere different, perhaps one of the hotels on the beach as they looked nice!

Myself & my partner went to the Ozlem Apartments in June and it was the holiday from hell. From the moment we arrived we were given a room in the attic which we later found out was were all the staff stayed and slept. The only thing we had to call a belcony was a wall that you could not see over but after a few days we could not even go out there as the door was jammed so we had no escape route either. We also had NO air conditioning in this heat and when the owners did eventually get someone out they left all the wires hanging out and was left unsafe to use. We were constantlly asking the English owners to please either move us or prize the door open and get the air conditioning fixed which made no difference they just paased us from one family member to the next Eventually after many complaints and one full week later we got moved to a lower and better room which were only kept for her friends that she kept her best rooms for. I would not use these apartments for my dog to use as kennels. Apart from our accomodation we enjoyed our time in Icmeler town and ate in some lovely restarants and had a lot of fun with most of the Turks but the thought of each day and night of returning to these apartments wrecked our holiday. The young Turkish lads at these apartments were very friendly but were encouraged to pester poeple to eat and drink at these apartments. Please research before going here.

we have just returned from 2 weeks in icmeler ,excellent value for money ,apts basic but very clean ,these apts have just been taken over by english owners and the welcome we received from frank and cherry was amazing they even drove us around the resort to show us where everything was . for a good value family holiday i would not hesitate recommending these apts.

Özlem made us feel very welcome from the word go. Origionally we had been booked into a hotel as half board, on our arrival we discovered that the hotel in which we were booked into was not yet open! Instead we were taken to a block of apartments in a quiet area of İçmeler. Our first impression was of dismay as our usual hotel is obviously alot bigger and livelier. As we were greeted we had our bags taken and were escorted into reception where we were offered refreshments. Peter the manager understood what was going on and explained how the situation could be resolved. He made a few calls to reps and operators, although he couldnt get us exactly what was origionally booked he compensated on behalf of the company and set us up as half board in apartments! Every day we were offered breakfast and a meal, lunch or a dinner to suit us (even sandwiches for going on trips!). Not only were the staff exceptional, the rooms were twice the standard we expected. The views from the room were amazing, we were surrounded by pine forests and had a lovely view of the sea, we couldnt have asked for more. We had a few nights at the apartments bar as it was raining (it was april!!!), and there was always some event going on whether it was one of the weekly quizzes or a bbq, and we were always made to feel more than welcome. We have booked to come again in August with some friends and are counting down the days. It was the best experience Turkey has offered us in our 8 years of visiting.
