Prestige Congress Hotel

only stayed one night, a very modern and clean hotel, rooms were spotless and very comfortable with lots of buttons and gadjets to play with. rooms ready between 12 and 13 , free soft drinks in the room. yes hotel is mainly for business people, bur at onlt 3 stops away by train from pl espanya, easy to to get to all the main sites. train station about a 5-10 minute walk away from hotel.

My husband and I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. The hotel as a building in & out side made a big impression on us. It is in a very modern style. The room was exactly as on photos - we love it. The hotel also have a good connection to the city center-the train station is 5min walk from the hotel. The only thing which surprised us was the staff...First of all they had very little English and they were very SLOW. For an iring board & iron we waited 45 min. We also ask for the ice for the room. Where do we start, we booked our hotel through Booking.com and requested that we have 1 room for 3 which they agreed with the hotel at an extra cost. The third bed was an infants cot, now how can an adult fit on that. Even after explaining to the staff that we have paid for 3 adults and would like beds big enough for 3 adults we were not provided with it. The Hotel is nice and new. We did not deliberately set out to chose this hotel but glad we stayed there. There for 3 days over a weekend, we were in Bacelona to see Bruce Springsteen in concert and found the location of the Hotel almost spot on. OK, it's 'out of town', but the nearest Metro (Europa Fira) is only 10 walk and connections into either Espanya metro or Catalanya Metro stations only an additional 15 - 20 minutes, so a round trip door to door into the centre of Barcelona is under 20 minutes. The hotel was excellent! Everything was clean, simple and very modern. The front desk was very helpful with every question I had, they even brought me out a laptop to use, since I hadn't brought mine. The location of the hotel is the only downfall, it is located a bit outside the city (10 min taxi ride). We took the taxi to the nearest Metro stop for about 6 Euro each way. nice hotel middle of nowhere next to Ikea A bus and metro ride from anywhere Fine in daytime but tricky to reach home at night. Two taxi drivers had no idea where it was even when given an exact written address. The Prestige Congress should only be considered if one is doing business in this new area of Barcelona - especially at the Fira Barcelona which is a short walk away. This ultra-modern hotel is far from any of the sights or good restaurants of Barcelona - a bit inconvenient for weary travelers. That said, the rooms are fairly comfortable, although the lighting system is very strange and hard to figure out. Organised a conference here. Great conference facility; good sized rooms and adaptibility, although no built-in AV to speak of. Uber-modern hotel with great facilities, including free Wireless throughout the building. Good food - although they struggle with the term "vegetarian"! The hotel is surrounded by building work for the new conference area that's being built - so views and accessibility aren't great, but the hotel is quiet. The airline checked us in to this hotel overnight due to a cancelled flight. It is close to the airport, probably best for short-stay business travelers rather than tourists. The place is clean, tidy, efficient but it is out of town, in an industrial area. You would have to take a taxi in to Barcelona every time you wanted to catch some night life or take in a tourist spot. Room decor is high-tech, with lights that dim, metal cabinets for clothes.
