This hotel is awful! Advertised a 4 star plus but it does not even make 3 star in my rating. Staff cannot be bothered to speak to you. There is no waiter service at all. The beach is noisy with music pumping out all day. Coffee is left in jugs with a box of milk and a paper cup. You serve yourself. It is stewed and luke warm. The restaurant is like a canteen with large tables that you share with strangers. The hotel is close to the airport with planes going over at intervals (although not all day). The site is under contruction so you get to hear a jack hammer all day long. Lorries create noise and dust all day. Complaints to the manager are ingnored. Only thing in its favour is the cleaners who work very hard!

Arrived home from Sol Sharm yesterday and wished we could have stayed for another week!! All staff at the hotel were always friendly and extremely helpful. The entertainment team were fantastic, trying to get all the children involved in the activities. And they all worked extremely hard for the New Years Eve show. The entertainment in the evenings was fantastic, with the whole team getting everyone involved. Even managed to get my boyfriend up on the stage TWICE!!!
The food was fantastic, the meats in different sauces and fresh pasta available to be made in front of you by the chef's. Breakfast was also great with omelettes, fried eggs and pancakes being made fresh as required. And also a vast range of cereals.
The pools were absolutely freezing but quite refreshing as the weather was so hot. It was a bit of a shock when we jumped straight in!!! Also the snorkelling in the sea was brilliant, we even saw a lion fish!!! The rafts for you to get into the sea near the coral were very handy, and we found it much easier to climb down the ladders instead of wading in!!!
All in all a fabulous holiday and a great way to start a new year!! Hhopefully we can go back soon!!!

I have just returned from Sol Sharm hotel and I am already online to book another holiday to go back. It was the most amazing holiday ever.
The staff there are so friendly and treat you like royalty. The rooms were spotless and the hotel was overall very clean. The hotel looked amazing as they had put up loads of Christmas decorations so it really put you in the festive mood.
Our cleaner was really thoughtful too, every day we would come in from the pool to find rose petals on our beds and our towels been made into swans or love hearts etc, sounds really cheesy but I liked it!
The animation team there were amazing, what a laugh. They were so friendly and made you feel really welcome. They always had activities going on by the poolside which enabled you to mix with the other guests and make friends.
The only down point was that there were quite a lot of Russians who were so annoying!! I don’t normally complain about certain nationalities but they were so rude at times and act like they rule the place!! Don’t think they know what a queue is?!!!
I am a 24 year old female and I went with my female friend who is also 24. Before we went we were told that we would get hounded by the locals, especially as we are both blonde. This was not the case, don’t get me wrong we did receive attention but not in a sleazy or uncomfortable way!
All the men there were very friendly and could not do enough for us. The guys in the shops were amazing. We often would go and sit with them once the sun had gone down and had some Egyptian tea and a great laugh with them. They taught us how to belly dance and we even went on a night out with them into Naama Bay. They ensured we got home safely and we felt completely safe with them the whole night.
We were informed that there was no night life there. Not true. We went to an amazing club called Dolce Vita. It was just passed Naama Bay. The Animation team took us and ensured we got there and back safely. The club looked like a big castle. When you got inside it was a massive opened aired club.
Music was amazing and the dancers were even better. We also went to the Camel Bar a few times, that was in Naama Bay. It was a roof top bar full of comfy cushions where you could chill out and smoke Shisha. There was also the Hard Rock Cafe which was really busy at night. We also went to a Beach party which again can be organised through the animation team.
As people have said, the food wasn’t that great. It would be maybe for a week but it does get very repetitive after a while.
We were booked for one week but actually ended up extending our stay for another 4 days as we couldn’t leave.

This hotel is trying, but I don't think that they know what all inclusive means.
It is an ideal spot, the staff are great apart from the odd one. The dive centre good, animation team good.
All in all not bad but the food let it down, by only been kept warm with candle burners, and mainly catered for the Europeans.
We tried to give advice, they took notice for one or two days then went back to normal. On are last day we could not complain as they catered for the English, and was hot, this was a one off as we sore that the Airtours rep was there eating that day and a lot of top people.
I would go back again if the food improved, but only for 1 week as the food repeats itself too often.

Sol Sharm is quite good. The staff are typically friendly and pretty intelligent. The diving is a bit poor from the Sol Sharm beach, at least compared to what is available locally. It is much better walking an extra 10 minutes to adjacent beach areas. You may have to bribe a security guard in order to use adjacent beaches.
My daughter and wife got a dose of the squirts. This can easily be avoided by trying to select food that is on its first showing, such as salads without sausage or meat, barbecued fresh meat and the excellent vegetable based soups. I use this rule for every hotel though, it is a bit of a rule of thumb. Seats in the dining room could do with a clean. Beer seemed a bit weak but this is not necessarily a bad thing.
Gardens are excellent as is the pool. Could do with some dancing facilities in the evening rather than from 12pm onwards in a pay as you drink bar. Childrens entertainment is well done by the young entertainers. I would be happy to stay there again.

I have just got back from our holiday in Egypt and I'm glad to be home. I have nothing bad to say about the staff, food or the hotel BUT the children’s entertainment is completely naff.
I have 3 children under 6 and they were bored out of their minds half the time.
On our first day there we asked where the children’s club was and what activities they had to offer - we were told that the pool was for children and that’s it. After 2 weeks of moaning my children are happy to be home. There was a children’s disco twice while we were there but it did not start till 9 30 in the evening and consisted of 30 minutes of Piano Man.
We only booked this hotel as Airtours made this out to be the best place for children - boy was they wrong.
It’s a great hotel if you are not taking children. Families be very aware.

Well where do I start? We arrived home this morning Oct 8th, firstly anyone checking out this hotel prior to booking please think again. Its not a place for anyone with any sort of disability lots of stairs steps and high kerbs.
The childrens entertainment is a mini disco at 9.30-10pm if they're lucky and there choice of food is appalling though the rest of the food isn't much better. Breakfast is ok a choice of cereals, pancakes, yoghurt, fresh fruit, danish pastries, toast, omelette or cooked breakfast, don't be fooled by the cooked breakfast it consists of frankfurter sausage, watery scrambled egg, something that looks like a tomato but tastes nothing like one, white beans in sauce (baked beans) totally tasteless definately not Heinz. Lunch and dinner the same everytime everyday- chicken, beef, fish potato and veg, just cooked in a different way the desserts the same thing ok if you like marshmallow tasting mousse.
A week maybe ok but 2 weeks is a nightmare! The first few days we were well impressed then as the days went on as you descend down the steps to the restaurant so does your appetite. We love our food and always go all inclusive but this is the first time ever we haven't gained any weight! Snack bar? what snack bar? You can't get bottled water before 10am the staff refuse to serve even though the sign is 24hr.
Airtours rep is a waste of space this is her last season so I don't think she cares, you complain and all you get is a look of surprise followed by "nobody else has complained about the food" so I asked around and a lot said she was lying they had also complained got the same answer as us! A few who booked excursions with her felt they were over charged as the prices were in sterling and if you had Egyptian pounds (which most people did) she charged you at the daily exchange rate and not that £1 is equal to £10 Egyptian pounds. TAKE STERLING WITH YOU NOT TRAVELLERS CHEQUES OR EGYPTIAN POUNDS. Exchange rate much higher over there.
Beautiful hotel, lovely people that's the only positive thing I can say, besides brill weather. Entertainment very amateur starts at 10pm over by 10:50pm same thing every week! Music played at the pool and beach is so old (if I hear Jennifer Rush the power of love one more time I'll scream). Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The Russians were swarming in the hotel what horrible people!! Very RUDE, IGNORANT, ARROGANT, GREEDY HUMAN BEINGS! They push and shove their way in no manners, don't believe in waiting their turn rush to be first every mealtime, pile up their plates with every morsel on offer, like they've never eaten before whilst wearing the same clothes every day. Their luggage must be the size if our hand luggage (pity I couldn't say the same about their appetites). Plus they're up at six putting their towels on the sun beds round the pool and at the beach! sound familiar? god bless the Germans not a patch on the Russkies.
We actually made friends with the one and only German couple staying at the hotel and they were a lovely couple. Even the Egyptians didn't have a good word to say about those damn Russians. Be well aware of toilet attendants you gotta pay for toilet paper 1LE even at the airport. Who's got Egyptian money in such small denomination on arrival ok 10p is nothing but the smallest sterling they'll except is £1 at takes spending a penny to an all new level.
This was our honeymoon and we met a wonderful couple from Oxford Simon and Deb Langton who like us developed a damn good sense of humour about the whole experience. We all agreed we'd go back but never, never to The Sol Sharm. The Baron Resort 10min walk a way is a lot better in every aspect so we may try them. One other thing don't be fooled into thinking you have to buy a Egyptian Visa, you don't unless you plan to leave Sharm El Sheikh like us to go to Luxor or Cairo. The reason behind the Visa is that Sharm is classed as part of Asia and not Africa therefore to visit Luxor or Cairo which are classed as Egypt you need a visa.

Hey, I've just come back from this hotel which I found amazing! I loved every single second of my holiday apart from the bar staff in the Adia bar who me and the rest of my party found extremely rude!
The best part of the holiday was watching the Animation team - they were fantastic. If it wasn't for them I think that the whole hotel would go bust. They make the hotel so much more alive even if they can be slightly cheesy, with the entertainment shows.
On our last night we had ordered Shisha at the Aida bar which they had been refusing us for the whole holiday - for no reason at all. When they finally gave us one on our last night it was broken. As we had become close to the Animation team they tried to sort out the issue - well two of them which we found very helpful to find that the bar staff did not like us - for no apparent reason!
Anyway I wish to be going back there very soon.

We were a party of 12 and couldn't have had a better time! We were of ages ranging 9-50 and we all had an amazing time. The animation team make the holiday and to be honest without them it would have been very boring. I advise making friends with them at the beginning of your holiday and you cannot go wrong. I do agree the shows were not really for young children but being 16, I loved them!
Pool is massive and is never totally full. Music can get a bit loud at times but the music is for all tastes so no-one really had a problem with it. We had to wake up at 7.30 to get sun beds but I’m sure if you tip the towel guys they would put them out for you.
Me and my twin went to the shopping arcade in the hotel the 2nd day and were instantly surrounded by the guys, they are harmless but don't get too cosy as they can get carried away! And accept their gifts as they give them to everyone.
The guys in the aida bar are nasty. They didn’t like us and I have a feeling it’s because we never tipped them! Whenever we asked for shisha they said they had ran out but then 10mins later they came out with one and gave it to someone else!
On the last day when we finally got a shisha, it was broken!
Although when the animation team are there jus after the show, they do some really good dances and the music is good although it does finish quite early - around 1.
Rooms are very basic but clean. Our air conditioning stopped working towards the end.
Food can get boring but in that heat you’re not all that hungry!

This was a romantic holiday away after a very bad year for both my partner and myself and it turned out to be the worst holiday I have ever had, the hotel is very far from a 4 star hotel.
When checking in we noticed the language barrier was obviously going to be a problem as the receptionist couldn't understand what we were saying, after checking in we were shown to our room which was ground floor level and next to the entertainment floor.
We walked in and it was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think so much for a relaxing/romantic holiday.
After a short while of the noise I couldn’t take much more, we went to reception and asked to be moved, they moved us to another room further down the corridor, after spending half an hour in this room it became apparent that this hotel was nowhere near what the brochure makes out it to be.
The air - conditioning wasn't working and in the bathroom the tiles were falling off the wall, I have never been to a four star like this before.
On our first day we went to the welcome meeting the rep was new and didn't really know what she was doing, her excursions were extremely over priced compared to the reps in the town and they were just as good. We asked her about the room situation and her reply was " it's a 3rd world country what do you expect" after this I realised this nightmare had only just began.
The food in the hotel is very boring the same meals most nights I lived on soup! It is very poor quality meat and the salad is the same from lunch time. You can NOT get wine from the bar it is only served with a meal in the restaurant ? If you are staying all inclusive you need to go upstairs to the children’s games room to get a drink.
After the first few nights we went out into Naama Bay due to the entertainment / food it was appalling, it was definitely not a family show and I felt very sorry for the family's that were there. Two nights that we did watch the show they were of a transsexual nature, not our cup of tea.
The bed sheets were not changed all week and the floor still had sand on it from the last guests very dirty hotel.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday and thought the sol Sharm was the place to go you will be very disappointed. GOOD LUCK you may need it.

Ok for a week cheap stay. Not to the 4* standard of the Hilton in Luxor but made do. Beds stiff, rooms tired looking. Staff in the restaurants and cleaners helpful apart from front desk who insisted on taking our pens away from us and replacing them with Sol Sharm ones which did not write, the cheek. They could not be bothered to check our flights or transfers as they boast they will do free of charge in the hotel brochure.
Music at pool was good as my MP3 player had broke, music at the beach very repetitive after a few days and food, it felt more like groundhog day staying here, good job we organised excursions on every other day or I would have gone crazy. I did not appreciate the Aida Bar turning into an Italian nightclub and played music till 2.30 am with an Italian DJ shouting and jeering people on which I later found people were quewing up to complain about, it felt like the holiday had a permenant soundtrack.
I can add to the other comments on this site about the Russians who have now put me off visiting Russia ever. They were rude even to each other, pushed and shoved, had complete disregard for the rules on diving with coral and we came across several walking on top of the mounds, which you can be prosecuated for. I found the coral here disapointing compared to Hughada, here it was almost completley dead and had been scrificed to ignorant tourists. Next time i will request either all english or english/italian catered hotel. My partner and I were fed up by the end of the holiday.
