Don't expect too much from budget accommodation and you won't be disappointed. This accommodation is perfectly reasonable for the price paid. Three star maybe just about right. The negatives: 1. Extra charges for everything. In room safes should be free as should... more

Just returned from Teneriffe on 10.08.2010. 10 of us shared Villa No 9, 6 adults and 4 children and we booked with Spanishisles.com. This is the first time we have stayed in a private owned Villa and was really disappointed as the linen got changed once during our 2 week... more

Originally at a different set of apartments, my fiance and I got moved to this hotel as there was a gas leak at the previous one! People who complain about stuff being extra obviously have never been on a holiday like this before and don't understand how amazing this place... more

I arrived at Compostela Beach on the 01/07/2009. The receptionist was helpful and told us where our room was in detail. We usually ate our meals at the resturant downstairs and was surprised with the prices and the quality of food, it was really nice. There was a lot of... more

Pleasantly surprised!
I have to admit me friend and I were pretty anxious about staying here after reading reviews posted and we were expecting a total dump. However we were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The apartments have a nice, welcoming reception and staff are pretty helpful and cheerful. We were given the keys to our apartment and really did expect the worst- but we were delighted to find that we had been allocated a duplex apartment so the living area/kitchen was downstairs and the bedroom/bathroom upstairs- really spacious. Don't get me... more
Loved the Location
Unlike many others we booked our apartment privately so we didn,t have any problems regarding dated accomadation, ours had been newly refurbished . Probably half of the apartments are privately owned and there are many websites advertiseing these.I would recomend a private booking on this complex you seem to get much better accomadation and it works out cheaper to. The pool area is a good size always loads of sunbeds but if you prefer the beach, the complex backs on to a good sandy beach, all in all its got everthing on its doorstep .If... more
Cracking Location
stayed here for 2 weeks with our 8 year old son, self catering only, been to tenerife many times staying at the bitacora (lovely hotel but they made it quite clear they didnt want children), so we tried compostella beach, only 1 minute to the beach ideally situated for everything, the accomodation is tired and needs a face lift but very clean an after all it is a base, sheets and towels changed 3 times while we were there, we had room 11J over looking the pool a little noisy at night as we had the garage underneath us we could hear the... more
Loved the pool!
Me and my boyfriend stayed here in March 2006 (not the golf one) I loved it, the pool was huge and always enough loungers and space around it. When we first arrived the door handle to our apt fell off! - but the staff were great and repaired it straight away! The supermarket was handy, as a our apt was so close to it. Had lots of mags & the usual stuff. The Happy Days bar was brill, really friendly and you could take food back to your apt if you wanted to. The beach was within a nice distance, as was the bars. I remember... more
Great location but dated aparments. Ideal for budget travellers
The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly as were the bar staff. The bar meals served were ok too but we didn't eat in the restaurant. The pool area was always clean and tidy. In the apartment, the walls were painted bright orange and the bedroom was dark and dingy although I don't think that was the case for all the apartments (we were in a particularly shady corner). As our apartments were directly above the chinese restaurant, the odd evening that we were in bed by 3am, we were awoken shortly afterwards when the... more
Great location, poor quality accommodation
We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Compostela Beach Apartments booked direct through Thomas Cook (Sunset Holidays). It was a superb beach front location being on the border of Playa de las Americas/Los Christianos with the pool area, sun terraces and overall look of the complex very attractive. However, our 1 bed apartment was in much need of refurbishment - the sockets were loose, the kitchenette required upgrading, the lights fused twice, the beds were creaky and uncomfortable, the bathroom was adequate but the suite and... more
Really good hotel
I just got back from Tenerife a few days ago! I absoloutley loved it!! I stayed at the hotel with 4 girls all aged 21, we had no problems whatsoever! The staff were very friendly and helpful! The only problem we had was with a cockroach that I found in my suitcase! The staff gave us bug spray and we managed to get rid of it by the end of the day! The location of the hotel was perfect, right across from the beach (ask 4 a beach view room) It was also only 5euro in a taxi to the busy nightlife of the strip! A taxi from Sofia Reine airport... more
I liked it
Went there last week with my partner, had a really good time and was very pleased with the accomadation. Be careful which one you book into as there are 3 complex's called Compostela in the area. Two of them are by the golf courses, not very near the beach we went to both of these first before going to the correct one which is near the beach inbetween Las Americas and Los Cristianos. The one by the beach is the one with the pictures on this site, we didnt eat here at all but there are some great resurants around, and if you fancy going out... more
Budget Holiday
First of all - find out WHICH Compestella Beach you are going to.... most of the reviews under this resort are for the Compestella Beach Golf Hotel, a 4* resort which is about 30 mins away from the beach. Compestella Beach Apartments are all 3* self catering flats and are right on the Playa Las Vistas Beach. The apartments are what you would expect for 3* accomodation - basic but have everything you need (only ours didn't have a kettle or a sharp knife..?!) A nice little feature was that our one bed apartment had a split... more
Nightmare!!!
Stayed here for a week in September 2003. Booked the room via teletext for around £200 between the 4 of us for the week thinking we were getting a bargain!! We were wrong, what a nightmare this was. I'm amazed that these apts are actually advertised in any holiday brochure. Our room was around the back of the complex and was dingy and cockroach ridden and had a horrible aroma of cooking fat. We complained on several occasions but the hotel staff didn't seem to see what our problem was and just told us to go and buy some spray! The pool... more
