Marianna Studios

My wife and I have spent our September holidays at the Marianna studios for the past 9 years and want to pass on to other people what a splendid hotel this is, the family who own and run the hotel are second to none.
There is nothing they won't do to make your stay a happy one, the standard of cleanliness is extremely high, towels and sheets are changed regularly, extra pillows are always available on request, the cleaning staff are always polite and take pride in their work.

Just got back and already missing it, the hotel was simple but fantastic, The staff are great Marianna herself well, Happy birthday Hun, Thanks for being our mum. We all wish you all the best and hope to see you again one day. Maik your bar made the holiday open near 24 hours, Never again will I be the same after the night on fire water.
Nice food, great surrounds and an ideal location, just make sure you mingle well with the guests in the hotel it is a small complex that makes, meeting new people easy.

This will be our fourth trip to Tingaki and third to Marianna studios. You could not wish for better staff, and the apartments are great, ok the bathroom may be a bit on the small side, but they are clean and the maids come everyday except Sunday, which I think everyone should have a day off.
The studios do not have blaring music and you get peace and quiet. As for the views this is Greece and laid back. There are lots of bars and tavernas, there is a wide variety of food and everyone has there own taste.
We will be back there next year.

Stayed here in August 05, had a lovely holiday. Basic apartments but very clean, friendly, everything you need. Nice pool.
At the top of the main road leading into Tingaki, 5 min walk from huge supermarket in one direction and 10 minute walk to beach in the other, bars and restaurants all the way down the road from right next door and opposite the Marianna.
We were at the back overlooking the pool and never experienced any road noise but even at the front I wouldn’t think it would be that bad. Fantastic holiday.

I had my first girlie holiday in Malia staying at Marianna studio this year in august.
I had the time of my life. There were 4 girls myself, sister and two other girls who go every year staying at Marianna studio, I can see why.
Marianna is owned by the friendliest family you could ever meet. (mum) Maria, (dad) Jon and (son) Michael. Maria acts like a mum to everyone who stays there, protects you which can be a bit annoying if any guests from a night out come home with you. Jon is friendly and quiet he keeps an eye out on everything then Michael your best friend, even big brother.
Michael is there to greet you at the bar when you arrive offering you any drink you like and there no small measures. When you have been out for the night he is still there at 7am feeding you more beer, so you can just run to your room slip on a bikini and sleep round the pool ready for another night. It is an amazing place and I cannot wait till next august when I go again and definitely will be going to stay with Michael and his family.

My friend and me booked a last minute holiday to Kos late July. After reading through the reviews on the Internet about the Marianna Studios we thought the complex sounded great and that we’d got a good deal for our money. However, when we arrived at the hotel the staff looked miserable and made no effort to help us or even bother to show us where our room was. After reading the reviews we were expecting well furnished, spacious yet basic apartments. Instead we found un-practical and dirty apartments. In the kitchen there was a
bed, a sink and some hot rings. It wasn’t fit to cook anything in so we decided to eat out for dinner and tea every day. The bedroom itself wasn’t too bad. It was very spacious and led to a balcony, which had a view of an overgrown greenhouse full of beer crates. The bathroom was disgraceful. There wasn’t any sort of ventilation, just a drain on the floor. This meant that after eventually having a shower the whole bathroom was full of water (as there was no shower curtain) and the water was left to slowly drain away. It meant that you couldn’t use the bathroom during the night or in the morning as the water was still draining and it smelt awful. The maid came everyday to mop up the water but that’s all they seemed to do. In the time that we were there we got new towels twice and only one roll of toilet roll. There was also no air-conditioning in the rooms. We were made aware of this before we went and hired a fan while we were there at the cost of 10 euros for the week. The safety deposit boxes also cost 10 euros for the week and are kept out in the reception. This wasn’t convenient all the time as when you need to get to your belongings you need the “master” key from reception and there isn’t always someone there.
The pool was very clean and well maintained and toys such as lilos and balls were provided. The food at the poolside bar was moderately priced but not very nice.
Overall the hotel wasn’t great and if it wasn’t for the fact that we were near to taverns, bars and the beach then I doubt we would have enjoyed it as much as we did!

A wonderful clean and friendly aparttment complex. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff or the owners.
The apartments are not A/C, which can be a problem in the heat of the summer periods. But this small thing is far outweighed by the fantastic apartments.
The resort is small and not lively. There are a handful or bars and places to eat. A couple of small gift shops and that’s it. If you want a peaceful holiday then this is the place. If you want nightlife give this place a miss.

7 of us, all girls, aged between 19 and 24 from Northern Ireland are just back from Malia and had the best holiday ever!!
We stayed at Marianna Studios and we couldn’t have asked for better accommodation. It’s a small family run place with Maria (Mum), John (Dad) and Mike (Son). Because it was small everyone knew everyone, and Maria and Mike knew everyone by name too, which was nice!
Maria looks after the pool bar during the day and John helps out and looks after reception. Mike, who is quite cute, looks after the bar at night.
We arrived at about 2:30 in the morning and decided to go to the pool bar for a few drinks to celebrate arriving. Mike introduced himself straight away (he speaks pretty good English) and welcomed us with a nice cold pint of Pills and a watermelon for breakfast the next morning!
We would sit at the pool bar until after 12 or 1 each night playing card games and having the craic before heading out and Mike would always join us. On our first week we met up with 3 lifeguards from Plymouth - Ben, Ange, and Chris (or as Maria liked to call them Pretty Boy, Baby Boy and Quiet Boy). We’re so glad we met them - they really made our holiday, unfortunately they had to leave after our first week though!
On our second week, as we were getting to know Mike better he would give us loads of free shots at the bar before we went out and more when we arrived back in at about 6 in the morning when he would still be behind the bar! He came out clubbing with us and took us to bars on the strip where his friends worked and got us free drinks.
Malia is fantastic and so is Marianna Studios, both such value for money. 5 minute walk to the main strip and 5 minute walk to the beach and mini water park.
We used to bypass Marianna on the way home from a night out and head straight for the beach in the early hours of the morning, it was brilliant craic, we had about 15/20 people from our apartments down at there at one stage.
We hired out quads on our last three days and they were excellent too. We took them into different towns and checked out all the different beaches, shops and restaurants. We took them up the mountains into the tavernas and the views were outstanding.
Mike told us he had a surprise for us and on our last night he presented us with a massive flag. He got us all to sign it and now it has pride of place at the bar!
We only got home a week ago and already we want to go back!!! If you’re planning on Malia then Marianna Studios is the place to stay!
