Nice, clean, Good size, better than expected after reading some of the reviews.
Run by a nice family that looked after everthing. we had air con. always had lots of hot water. towels changed every three days, beds changed sundays and wednesdays.
What more do you want from a 2**. The car park was busy next door (about 40 cars), but your on holiday your meant to go out in the daytime, so this isn't a problem. The main road was busy due to the extra greeks and Italians on holiday. August is the time they all go away (They all bring cars and boats). Even the locals say don't come in August. Good clean and safe beach, to many water sports to list. lots of shops to look in, not all rubbish. good bars and places to eat. Not to much noise in the evening as you are off the main street. Give this place a try it's a lot better than some of the other reviews say. This town is worth a visit. The Sapho is a good base.

Nice and clean on arrival and no sockets hanging out of the wall (always a bonus in Greece i find !) but cleaned only once and no means of having a sweep up in between times. Delightful views of the carpark provided hours of amusement as we watched cars trying to find a space to park but perhaps not what the brochure said ! Noisy at night (a persistant boom boom from nearby bar meant earplugs were needed) and i would not have liked to have holidayed here with kids. Very very busy road that you have to cross to get to the 'beach' (long strip of shingle) - you take your life in your hands everytime. The resort was very 'blackpool-ish' and I have never seen so many tatt shops in one place. Very good bakery though and reasonable prices for eating out. You can find a much more authentic Greek experince by taking the ferry (2 euros) to meganissi and eating there instead. An experience but I wouldn't go back !!

we stayed at the sapho apartents for 2 weeks , the rooms were very clean and the owners very friendly ! , we had a large room on the second level , it is a couple of minutes walk to the harbour where there are plenty of restaurants and tavernas , this is the place we go every year for our holidays and we will be returning to nidri in september of this year , we recommend the panorama restaurant on the front, very quick service , excellent food , friendly staff , hope spiros is still there working the front of house ! can't wait to return , love it , maybe if we win the lottery we will buy a place there, by the way hire a car and explore the sandy white beaches and clear blue sea ! porta katsiki is one of the favourites.

After reading the previous comments, we were a little worried about both the accommodation and the resort itself. However, on arrival we were very pleased with our apartment (No.6). Yes, air conditioning would be a bonus but the apartments were very clean, maid service every other day, and for Greece, it was quite well equipped. We did buy one cooking pan quite cheaply in the village as the one provided was not quite up to scratch, but this did not bother us at all.
The position of the apartments is excellent, no road noise whatsoever and yet very near to shops, beach and wonderful restaurants along the sea front and harbour. It was extremely hot while we were there and yes the apartment was very stuffy at night. We had the benefit though of two balconies, one to the front off the bedroom which was very sunny and one to the back off the kitchen which was always in shade. Best of bothworlds and very useful for a through breeze at night when trying to sleep. All in all, a very good holiday and we would definitely recommend these apartments.

Very basic, clean, but spoilt by scruffy cutlery, tatty kitchen utensils and grey looking, hard towels. Stayed here for two nights out of the 7 we had paid for but had to pay locally for better accommodation because of the intense heat in the place.
This house has been divided into apartments and ours was right on the corner. It got the full sun all day and right into the evening. There was no air con and we were forced to hire a fan that turned out to be scruffy, dirty and inefficient (this, by the way was rented to us by the rep!)
It really was impossible to sleep in this tiny studio because it was so hot. We got so that we dreaded going back into the place for a rest.
If air conditioning was available here and the tatty, chewed cutlery and scruffy kitchen utensils were replaced, and the towels given a good wash to whiten them up, this would be a good place to stay.
It was clean but that's the only good thing I have to say about it.

These simple apartments are located centrally with a short walk to the beach, harbour and town. They are situated in a side road in a quiet part of the resort, though sometimes you may hear some noise from a local bar. Most of the noise we experienced came from the main road, which is extremely busy. However, a new road is currently being constructed and this will take away much of the through traffic as there is only one way across the island at present.
The accommodation is clean, with a lovely family close by ensuring they are on hand to address any issues. The catering facilities are basic, but when on holiday who wants to cook anyway. There are plently of pans and crockery should you decide to conjur up a meal, plus the kettle and pop up toaster are great to meet the morning need.
My family have stayed at Sapho Apartments on 3 occasions and have never been let down, now with the added benefit of the A/C the hot nights are more bearable. The view from the rear of the property is the stunning mountain, however, the front view is not one to boast about, though in the horizon you may see the sea.
